All Fuses and relays
When I turn on the headlights the day-time bulb lights...

View 6 RepliesI am having over-heating problems. The rad fans will not come on unless I turn on the AC and everything is well. I did reluctantly replace the temp sensor and that solve nothing. I believe it's the ecu not activating the fan relays.
I can get my hands on a 2003 ECU will it work in my 2005 or does have to be flashed to the vin#.
I have a 2001 Kia Sportage. Manual transmission.
For the past two days, once the vehicle has been running long enough to get hot, it becomes really difficult to shift. I think I'm losing the clutch pedal. For example, when in first gear stopped at a traffic light, the car will stall out with the clutch engaged (as if the clutch weren't pressed down.) With the car moving, it's physically very hard to move the gear shift.
Topped off the break/clutch master cylinder fluid, and it seems ok. Also took a look at the transmission fluid, and it is not low.
96 Eldorado Code 502 (speed sensor fault).. Speedometer not working and vehicle running in low range.. I replaced the speed sensor on the right side transaxle. No change, what else can I try?

View 3 RepliesI Get a humming noise in all my speakers if I have my DTR lights on... Fog lamps don't matter, head lamps don't matter, just the day time running lights make it hum. If I have the lights set to "auto" and it's day time it hums, and if I switch it to day lights it keeps humming. But if I turn on the headlights (day light turns off) or if I turn the headlights off, the humming stops both ways. Fog lamps don't matter at all either. Why I'm getting humming with just the day time running lights??
View 12 RepliesThis started out as an intermittent problem after I would run the a/c for a bit. Now it happens every time I get in the van regardless of if I turn on the a/c. The engine begins acting like I am pressing the gas pedal, but not flooring it. I have to press hard on the brake in order to get the vehicle to stop because it is trying to race ahead and I don't have to press the gas until around 45 mph. What in the world is going on with my van? If I throw it in neutral it just goes nuts. I have been pulling over, shutting off the van, waiting a few minutes, and then cranking up again. It could take a couple of minutes for it to start again or it will do it right away.

I have an 02 Venture WB Package with the 3400 engine. Within the last week is has started to run rough under load. This happens mainly when it is driving, but it does happen at idle when there is an incline or decline.
A little background of what happened. It has not wanted to start all of the time and i heard that it might be a dirty MAF. Well, the MAF is clean and still not wanted to start all or the time. During this time I noticed a plastic line going from the intake tube into the rear valve cover was loose, so I thought this was the problem. I have big hands and couldn't reach the rear vavle cover without rocking the engine forward. When I finally got the bolts out of the mounts that attache to the engine, the engine rocked back a little. I didn't think anything of this and ratchet strapped the engine forward so i could reach the valve cover.
I got the line back in and put the engine back where it is supposed to go and all was well. A few days after doing this my wife told me the van was running rough so i took it for a spin and she was correct. It is hard to describe the sound it makes, but it almost sounds like there is was too much stress on the engine when I have the gas peddle pressed. The van doesn't lose any power i don't think. The van sounds great if it is coasting.
It only does this when there is a load on the engine in drive or if it is idle or parked on an incline or decline. It goes into the shop on thursday the 30th, but I would rather not spend the cash if i can do it myself. I am totally lost with this one. I have a video of the sound when I am driving it, but the sound isn't too loud on the video.
This is my uncles car and Im doing this for him. Its a 2003 Venture that he has had since new. It overheated but there is no water in the oil and there is water in the radiator so I'm thinking that the thermostat froze not allowing water to circulate. It runs rough, makes a bit of noise from the top end.

I just bought a 2005 Mini Cooper with the SES light on. Error message said misfired piston, so got a tune up and an ignition coil. Went off for about a day and back on. Put fuel injector cleaner in. Went off for a day and back on. What to do? In this for several hundred bucks thus far.

*Key fob does not work - battery is good.
*Interior overhead light works only on manual.
*Driver's auto door lock (with driver door open) will lock all four doors but the driver's door will automatically open back. To secure the truck I manually lock the driver's door.
*I replaced the driver's door 'ajar switch' with no results. The old switch was good after testing - normally closed until the ball is depressed then it goes to open.
*No codes.
*I just checked all the mini-fuses with a VOM and they are good.
*Could one of the relays be part of the problem?
I am curious if there is a scanner that can identify the bad door ajar switch if any?
From what I have read so far it appears the VSM (Vehicle Security Module) may be bad as a many of these 2002's complain of this problem and the VSM generally solves the issues. Are there folks other than the dealerships that can program the module if I purchase a new one and remove the old OEM one? Other than the inconvenience the truck runs fine other wise.
On our 2005 Toyota Camry, we have recently noticed that the maintenance-required light takes a long time to go off when the ignition is cycled. This is true whether the engine is started immediately or the key is simply left in the ON position until proveout is completed.
The car is up to date on all services and we see no other signs of an impending problem. At the moment we do not have the ability to retrieve OBD-II diagnostic codes. What could be going on?
Long story short it stopped working. I have tried the reset method with no luck and I can't seem to get it to give me the codes per the factory service manual. This is what I do know when you release the door it unlatches but won't open, I can hear the motor trying to run but it won't pull the door open and it sounds like it immediately reverses but the door does not move.
View 14 RepliesI bought a 2007 Lexus LS 460 L recently and the check AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) at dealer light is coming from yesterday which was rainy, and I also noticed that the APGS (Advanced Parking Guidance System) was not working also , and if I leave the car off and come back after several hours light seems to go back off and on again after a while. I just changed the tires a week ago.
I would think it would be a sensor but is there any sensor that is used for APGS and AFS as they both stop working at the same time, give me messages to take to the dealer.
