When the cruise light flashes the engine ideals at a lower RPM. Usually not a big deal, but when I'm in reverse the car will often stall out. The flashing light comes and goes without apparent cause.
View 8 RepliesAbout 2 months ago ('06 Prius - 386K) 12v battery was replaced - red triangle disappeared and everything has been fine. ( I have driven the car about 7K since replacement).
Now on my 2800 mile trip, the following is happening. With Cruise Control on and functioning - freeway traffic comes to an almost halt (5-8 mph) after traffic picks up Cruise Control light on dash is flashing and will not function. (Pull over and re-boot the Win95 machine - and everything is back to working until next slow down).
I am now driving on a service road to my hotel at approx. 25mph and as I go over every patch in the asphalt my Traction Control light comes on and then off and it makes the car act like it is on ice ( and yes the Cruise Control light is back to flashing).
On my journey on this 5 miles of access road then my stereo volume starts going up and down all on its own. If I try turning the volume knob nothing happens. I push the knob in and then push on the knob to come back out and then the volume knob works and then the volume control on the steering wheel starts to work as well.
My dad has a 2005 Ford F150 and his airbag light buzzes and flashes. We counted and it flashes 5 times then short pause then 1 flash then long pause and restarts. Also I dont know if it is related but his cruise control doesnt work either.

With a great car like this I hate to be whining about the cruise control but.... the cruise light goes on when the system is turned on, but when attempting to set the cruise, the "set" light flashes on for a fraction of a second and then goes off, and it doesn't set. I've owned this car for over 3 years and it used to work fine. After reading other comments and situations I checked the brake lights which seem to be working fine, and the fuse seems to be OK.

View 4 RepliesI was in cruise control at 50 and pressed and held the increase speed button to pass a car and once i got to 55 and still holding it the check engine light flashed twice a second until i released the increase speed button. Are you not suppose hold that button? Could this be APR related? I also noticed that the speed doesn't matter, it could be at any speed just hold it for like 5 seconds...
View 4 Replies2011 Camry LE .... My car has some 85,000 miles and generally runs very good. Recently the maintenance light flashes. The flashing does not occur when the car is started but some times 30 sec later.
If it were the standard "change your oil" reminder, it would come on and stay on--I'm very familiar with that.
This situation it comes on after the car is running (even driving) and flashes for 5-10 times and disappears.
I have a 2002 Camry with an A/C problem. When I turn on the A/C, the A/C light flashes and the compressor does not spin. I have check the following:
1. The compressor is fully functional when I feed power to it.
2. The A/C fuse, 10A, is functional.
3. The Mag CLT relay is functional.
4. The cabin filter is new.
5. There is enough refrigerant.
I have a 2009 Camry LE and I just got oem 2010 SE wheels for it. Upon start up, the TPMS light flashes for a minute then goes steady and stays on.
I know there is a reset switch in the glovebox but would that fix it? I went from 16" steel wheels w/ hubcaps to 17" oem SE wheels.
Ive had my Camry since around September of last year. It had between 100-110k miles at the time of purchase.
In the last 3 months, Ive started to notice that sometimes when I am on the road & switch on the cruise control, the setting appears to have trouble engaging. On some occasions the cruise control does not even switch on at all when I hit the "set" button, while at other times I can feel the setting turn on and off intermittently, while I feel the engine respond accordingly with more or less gas with each time it goes on and off.I can also see the cruise control light on my dashboard begin to flash on and off each time this happens.
This does not happen every time I drive, but I must say Ive never seen anything like this before in any other car Ive ever had, and I find whats happening here to be both very strange as well as very annoying.
I bought my 2015 XLE May 20. I remember seeing in the vehicle setup a place to set the number of flashes of the turn signal when changing lanes, but now I cannot seem to find it. Where it is, or is it gone with the latest update?
View 13 RepliesI purchased a 2004 Toyota Camry Limited Edition in very good condition. The vehicle has 175,000 miles on it but runs just like new. The previous owners must have taken very good care of it because inside and out it looks brand new. It runs great, and the only thing I have had to do so far is replace the a/c relay to get the a/c blowing cold again. This is my question. I decided to test my fuel economy, so i filled the tank with premium gasoline 91 octane.
I reset the trip ODO, and have only driven the car in the city. With the A/C always running, I usually drive anywhere from 4 to 6 miles a day during the week and maybe about 12-15 on the weekend. Well i am down to about an 8th of a tank, the gas light is not on yet but it is pretty low on gas.
According to my trip ODO I have driven 240 miles. Now if this car has a 18.5 gallon tank, that means that with premium gas I am getting about 13 miles a gallon. Even for city driving, that seems just terrible. My 1999 Ford Taurus SE with a DOHC V6 gets 17 and my camry is not even a V6. So I am wanting to know what could be causing this? The car runs perfect, it doesn't miss at all, it sounds great and the oil has been changed and it has great tires.
Strange problem that just happened last evening. When I push the cruise button the horn toots and the panel cruise light comes on/off. However, the cruise control will not work.
If I toot the horn, again the cruise panel light comes on/off as well. The cruise control worked fine earlier that day.
What this may be and where to start looking? My first thought is to disconnect the battery for a few hours and hopefully reset the computer.
Just to start off im new to the camry family.I have a 2007 camry se. Well the the problem I am having is when i make a sharp turn or hit on the brakes hard my oil light flashes. Didn't know if this is a big problem or something small. the light flashes and goes rite back off.
View 14 RepliesI just purchased a 2004 toyota camry limited edition about a month ago. During the last week off and on while the air conditioning is on it will quit cooling and the a/c light will flash on and off until I turn it off. Sometimes I can turn it back on and it will stay on, sometimes it will do it again. Sometimes I can get in the car, turn it on, and it just stays on and doesn't flash at all even on long trips. Anytime the a/c is on, the air is perfectly cold. It's only when the light is flashing that it quits cooling. Today is the first day that it did it multiple times on the way home from work.
By the time I got to my drive way though it wasn't going off and flashing but was once again staying on and cooling perfectly. Since I just purchased the car and have car payments on it, I am not rolling in dough. I have read a few posts that it's possibly the compressor but since mine blows so cold when it's on I do not think that is my problem...then again I could be wrong.
Quick question, my wife wasn't able to open our '04 Prius with the FOB. I replaced the battery, and the FOB started flashing, which I'm assuming means that the new battery is working properly. However, after I put the FOB back together, the lock/unlock buttons still don't work. I can still manually open the car with the attached key and start the car with the FOB, but I was wondering if there's still a problem.

When I start the car, recently, a "Maint Required" light comes on and flashes about three or four times, then goes away. This is after all the other dash lights during the test phase go out. When I took it to have the codes read, the device said "No Codes" stored.
What does this mean? And is it a serious problem?
...Battery is very weak also but had a couple questions...
I started by reading up on issue and 9 times out of 10 people were saying the fuel pump driver module causes the issue...
So I ordered a Dorman and plugged it in...I did not bolt it down...Just wanted to see if it would fix and nothing...
Now stuck on the starter...Top bolt is a huge nightmare.
Would a weak battery and bad starter cause theft light to flash or is my problem elsewhere?
This has happened only once the other night. I was cruising about 50MPH, hit the brakes for a red light, while I was at the red light the Cruise Control light started flashing. The cruise control would not engage at any speed during the flashing stage, and I didn't think it would as a flashing light usually means a malfunction. I went a few miles turned the car off, restarted it and haven't had a problem since. Just chalk this up to a 1 time glitch?
View 8 Replies2005 GX470.After returning home my wife parked the GX470 in the garage. She returned 30 minutes later and noticed the headlights were on. She also noticed the immoblizer light was blinking.
We always keep the headlights in the "auto" position. Headlights staying on is a little strange. but I recall the lights staying on once or twice before. Immoblizer light flashing has never happened.
I inserted the key and turned to start the car and the light went out and the GX started fine. Once I remove the key, the light starts blinking again. I tried this with both keys to make sure it wasn't a transponder issue--all keys did the same as above.
I checked battery voltage--12.4v. Charging--13.6v at idle Some light corrosion around the negative cable but not too bad. cleaned anyway Wife did say she came out of work and noticed that two different car alarms were going off that were right next to her car. Possible kids messing around. Maybe our car was going off as well?
My Prius touring had 4 205/55/16 tires. I had the mechanic change the front two tires to 205/50/16 and now, whenever I drive over 60mph, the slip indicator light flashes continuously. When I slow down, it goes away.
Is it because the front and rear tires are mismatched? If so, I'll have the mechanic change the rear to 205/50/16 as well.
