TOYOTA 4Runner 2002. Have an annoying problem with climate control. Control working intermittently,. Cannot control desire temperature. I read there are very common symptoms for all 1999-2002 Toyota 4Runner LE.
View 5 RepliesI have had my 2002 Toyota 4 Runner SR5 for a few years now and it's been a vRttery. But now they are coming on within each fill up and within the first 100 miles of driving. So I had this Mobil Mechanic come by a couple of times and tell me that his little gizmo says that it is the Catalytic converter. Of course I'm skeptical because the Trac and VSC lights are on as well as the Check light. I'm thinking that maybe he has a cheapo little gizmo and that maybe it has something to do with the brake system.What do you think?
View 9 RepliesAfter 4 years and 75k miles the oem battery finally needed replacement. Pretty incredible since average battery life is no more than 3 years in the 20 years I've been in the desert. The battery was out of the car for about an hour, but as far as we can tell the only settings not retained were radio presets and climate control. My phone was still stored. the only issue we're experiencing is the climate control seems to not turn automatically on intermittently. Most of the time you go to the car and start it up, ac and fan kicks on and everything is on auto. Twice the car starts but the climate control is off...fan off, no ac.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata that has the digital display for the climate control- which i am assuming is the auto climate control system that is talked about on here frequently. The problem is that the fuse for the climate control system continually blows, causing the display and all controls for the climate control system, to stop working. Put a new fuse it, blows again.

View 2 RepliesRecently noticed that the automatic climate control on my 2006 Sonata stopped working. The temperature readout still shows desired interior temperature but nothing happens when dial is turned all the way up or down. When in manual mode, the heater fan will adjust faster or slower when dial is turned so I still get heat/ac but only by dialing manually. If I switch to automatic mode, the fan will operate in whatever setting it was in when in manual mode. What part do I need to replace in all likelihood and how hard is it to replace?

View 7 RepliesI just did my winter hard top for the season, hooked up the plug for the rear heater and it works but it's cranking out cold air even when I am up to running temperature. The front heater is blowing lots of heat. Am I missing something? Is there something other than the plug I need to hook up?
View 12 RepliesI have a 2008 Toyota sienna XLE and just recently I have been unable to change the heating/cooling zones. For instance I can't change it to defrost even if I press the defrost button. Right now it is stuck on vents. It's all electronic controls on my model and even if the display is showing feet or defrost it is still coming from the vents. I live in New Hampshire and on cold snowy days I've got to be able to change which zone I want heat.
View 2 RepliesMy wife's '98 Aurora, she said she heard a loud click and suddenly lost the heated seats, tach, speedometer, fuel & temp gauges, DIC, and climate control. I check the 60A fuse under the rear seat, it was OK. Replaced it with another 60A, no difference. Everything else electrical is still functioning.
View 1 RepliesThe climate control in my 1995 lincoln continental will stop working on an intermittent basis but only in the summer. It usually seems to happen on very hot days after running a few errands. It only lasts 2-15 minutes and then operates normally for days or weeks. This has been happening for years. Nothing shows up on the mechanic's computer as respects diagnostic codes.
View 2 RepliesOn the way to work this morning my dash lights went out. At the same time, all my climate controls stopped working, as well as the wiper controls. The blinkers didn't work either. However, the radio and MFD were fine. The windows were frosting up fast (I live in Canada) but it's only a 15 min. drive to work so while trying to hold my breath, I was able to make it work OK. I called the dealership and they said to bring to the car right away. On the way to the dealership, the overhead console lights stayed lit and could not be shut off. When I got to the dealership and pulled my key out of the ignition the overhead console lights wouldn't shut off as well as the radio and my the lock doors/security arming on my key fob would not engage.
Later, on in the morning they said they think the problem is in a module possibly in the steering column. What is going on with my car?
I know this is a weird post but I am looking for a climate control head unit that does not work. I need the silver covering plate that is part # 55901-24030 that is not damaged.

I just bought a 2005 Elantra GT 5 speed. Nice car but the dash lights (including the radio and climate control) don't work. All fuses are good the rheostat (dimmer) is fine. Checked the continuity from the dimmer to the back of the dash instrument panel all checked OK. Light bulbs are good.
Basically it appears that I am getting power to the panel lights, yet they don't work. The radio appears to be stock with a factory plug. All other lights and electrical gadgets work fine. I can not find a schematic to check grounding.
My wife's 08 mountaineers heater has stopped working on every setting but high it has the dual climate control with rear heat and ac I've heard there's a control module behind the glove box. Is this true and how hard is it to replace?

View 2 RepliesI have a 2000 yukon and the climate control stopped working. The defrost works just fine but the heater/ac stopped working nothing blows out from my vents when ac/heater setting is on. I checked all fuses and wires and everything is ok and connected. I just replaced my cd player and the next day climate control stopped working. I went back and checked the wireing of the cd player as well, everything is fine. Would i need a new climate control, or senser or is there a fuse on the heater itself.
View 1 RepliesI just noticed this the other day. The three climate control buttons on the right side of my steering wheel--fresh/recirc, front defrost, rear defrost--have stopped working.
The functions still work if I use the MFD display to control them. What this might be? Is there a separate fuse for these buttons?
