I cannot get the key to lower or raise the windows, or close the sun roof. The manual says I can do both. I can do it in my Passat. Is this a Vag-Com thing my dealer can fix?
View 11 RepliesI had my power steering motor and ignition replaced according to the Saturn recall 2 months ago. Went out yesterday and the PWR STR warning light was on, unable to move steering wheel. Turned the car off and waited a few minutes and turned the car back on and the power steering was fine. Since I just had the motor replaced do you think it is just a fuse? Or should I call the dealer?
View 2 RepliesMy car was running fine. I drove it 2-3 miles city & freeway a week ago to make sure. I was going to lend it to a friend and handed him the keys at a different location. When I got home he showed me that he was unable to move the car out of Park. I got in and the motor started fine. I checked and the battery was showing at the normal level,but I too could not budge the car out of Park. That was a few days ago.
Today I went out to start the car up and to my surprise, the battery is completely drained. The battery is only about 17 months old. I previously had had the motor rebuilt a couple of years ago and the car hasn't been driven but 2-3 thousand miles since.
What the problem may be? What kind of mechanic should look at it? (the friend admitted to pushing buttons but since I wasn't there I don't know if that was before he tried to move out of Park or after).
I have 2013 elentra just about a year old, (Took delivery june/2012). Recently some thing happen on the Shift lever, can't shift to "R" for back in parking, Shift to "N" is OK.
Some time it can't shift out from PARK to "R" or "N" or "D" ... Under any of this situation,car engine would not start.
Sound like the SHIFT LOCK did not release properly, or the Brake paddle position switch input did not send to Computer for engine Start.
I have a 2003 f250 and I am unable to rotate the hubs from automatic. I have removed them and while I had them apart, I was still unable to rotate the selector. It wouldn't turn even with a crescent wrench putting pressure on it. I repacked them with grease and reinstalled and they still work when in 4 wheel drive. I am just concerned that when the vacuum does go out, I will not get the hubs to manually lock in.

View 2 RepliesFront windows left open during a light overnight rain. Now all windows except driver's side will not move-- motors don't respond. I've read on an old post that they have their own switch, but does it need to be replaced (from a little moisture!) or something else? I cannot find any bad fuses, but I'm not confident I'm looking at the right one (#18, 20 amp, 'FWR Window'). 2009 model.

Alarm keeps going off and is unable to start the car? I've tryed everything I can think of. If I hit lock on my remote the alarm goes off, when i hit unlock it stops, I has gone off by itself numerous times.
View 1 RepliesMy key got stuck in the ignition and I was unable to start it. The owners' manual shows a small hole to the left of the key slot which is poked with a paper clip to release the key. At some point the ignition in my tdi was replaced and no small hole is present. A knowledgeable tow truck operator/mechanic coaxed the key from the ignition and the tdi started when the key was returned to the ignition and turned. What is the proper way to remove a stuck key from an ignition without the little hole. I was reluctant to force it out. The ignition currently in my '04 tdi has a raised bar to the left of the key slot which I was unable to depress.

I changed the brake light switch and nothing still in the same gear .. my friend scan my car and it sends Comm with TCM failed Comm with abs fail.. View 3 RepliesAre the mounts on the engine not tight enough? It feels rather strange. My dad's Ford Explorer doesn't do that. I feel like I'm driving a car with a manual transmission that needs to have dogbone bushings and mounts upgraded. How do I bring this to dealership's attention without appear like a complete loony? They like to give the "Could not duplicate" response when there is an obvious symptom.

View 4 RepliesOK, all the cars/SUV's I have owned in the last 4 years had a great feature. If you held down the unlock button on the keyfob for a few seconds you could roll down the windows and open the sunroof.
A GREAT feature to let the heat out while you're approaching the car on a hot day or to just let fresh air on other days. Can it be done?
The oil pressure gauge in my 04 v8 treg doesn't move until I drive it for about 15 minutes. Is this normal?? When THE BEAST is idling it takes about 15 minutes to pass 60 on the oil pressure gauge. I find this very odd.

Under the steering wheel there are 2 small switches, left and right. When I press the one on the left the light on the steering wheel goes on and off. What the one on the right do???
View 4 RepliesI garage, but on two occasions, once left out overnight, other at the airport for a week, the side windows were frozen shut. After the Treg warmed up, they would open, but seemed to be frozen at the bottom weatherstrip. Are others having this problem? I love this truck !

I have a customer with a 2013 Touareg. He wants to be able to open the windows with the FOB as he approaches the vehicle. I was able to use VAG-COM to allow the driver's window open/close, but not the remaining windows.
