Just installed my Touareg Dash Cover and it was easy, but I need to hit the thing 4 or 5 times before it opens, is the way it is for everyone? I do have the new screws (small)!
View 9 RepliesLooking for the Part No. for the exterior plastic cover at the bottom of the front windshield. Mine is cracked on the front passenger side. Not sure what it's called but only a portion is exposed...the rest is hidden below the hood and it's attached via clips and (4) screws.
View 1 RepliesI recently installed a k04 turbo, when I try and accelerate hard my wastegate just seems to open up very quickly without building much boost. I don't have a boost gauge or anything like that installed. Do I start by adjusting the wastegate actuator, or install MBC. Pretty new to this still.
View 12 RepliesI bought my 2008 Chrysler 300 used at a car auction and its been running fine for the past couple years. About two months ago the transmission needed repair so I took it out and took it to a mechanic to get fixed. All i had to do was install the transmission back into my car. My car was still running when i took it to the mechanic. Once I picked it up from the mechanic i have been installing and uninstalling the transmission several times and yet my car still won't turn on. I don't want to have to buy a new one...
View 1 RepliesIf Touareg rear hatch actually opens when press the remote or just unlocks? Mine opens only after you touch area above license plate. Also I cant open at all from door switch. Gas Flap also doesnt work from door. I ran output test with vagcom and both the gas flap and hatch work.

View 2 RepliesI have an '08 Touareg. The automatic door motor on the rear tailgate is having an issue. It closes with no problem when you push the button. However, when you try to open it, the door opens about half way and then cuts out. It is rather difficult to open the door manually. Is it a motor issue, or just a fuse or relay issue?
View 3 RepliesI installed new rotors on my rear 1992 V6 Camry a month ago. Yesterday the ABS light came on. I asked my local mechanic about it and he said it was alright to keep driving the car as it was probably only a sensor. What this sensor would be? The brakes are still working fine.

How much pressure do you need to apply; the cover was getting a good bend in it an wasn't moving?
Is there a trick to this (besides taking to the dealer)?

View 7 RepliesWas riding along a couple of days ago and felt something odd under my left foot. When I stopped I reached down and discovered it was the dash fuse cover panel. I went to snap it back into place and no snap; it wouldn't pop back into place or stay put at all. Just keeps falling out. It was sufficiently annoying that I ordered a replacement, but that one's not staying in place either. The only other thing I can think of is that the surrounding lower dash cover may be warped, but nothing looks crooked or out of place.
View 1 Repliesi just got my edelbrock performer rpm intake and my holley 4 barrel installed but it won't run...the only way i can get it to hit and run at all is to floor it like it's flooded...then it'll run for a second but will never rev up and get going like it should...so i watched some vids on youtube for setting mixture on holley's wich i was pretty sure about anyway...turned the idle mixture screws in to snug and then out 1 and a half turns. is this a symptom of a bad vacuum leak or is it something to do with the carb maybe not enough fuel?
it's a holley 4160...list-6619...which is 600 cfm...it's on a 302 with 3 speed.
I've got an 04 V8 and the headlight washer cover on the drivers side keeps coming off, I've lost three of them now. My dealer doesn't have an answer for me

View 2 RepliesMy 2002 explorer, 4.0l engine. My 4x4 light on the dash blinks 10 times and I've found that sometimes the 4 wheel drive locks in. When i pull into a parking space on dry road I can feel the front of the truck Jerking when trying to park. I hit the 4x4 auto button on the dash a couple of times and the 4 x 4 will disengage. While driving on dry road yesterday the 4x4 light started blinking and I felt the 4x4 slam in. The 4x4 light still blinks and I can't disengage the 4 x 4 this time. The truck has 140,000 miles on it. I'm thinking its the 4x4 control module but I'm not sure.

View 1 RepliesDuring one of the cold days this winter, the tips on my retractable cover cracked and chipped off. It no longer catches on the side panels. The local dealers haven't determined if this can be replaced under warranty yet.
Since the tips are not a replaceable part, how to modify/improve the tips so they will hold the cover in place, and not break in cold weather. I was thinking about cutting the tips completely off and inserting a rod that would run full width.
I have a 97 ford ranger V6 4.0. my 4x4 lights flash on my dash board 6 times and go out, a few minutes later it does it again. When I lock my hubs and put it in 4x4 nothing happens. What could be causing this?
