I'm a new Touraeg owner, a 2004 V6. When I get in it after it's been parked I sometimes hear a weird thump that sounds like a speaker getting a quick jolt. I've heard it a few times.
View 2 RepliesSo, I've had the car a couple of months and things just keep getting stranger. I've been through my 2nd Airbag fault and now it's been returned from the dealer and every time I open or close the door the speakers "thump" once. I decided to remove the stereo to be sure it wasn't my IPod causing the problem and with the stereo disconnected the speakers still " thump" once when you lock or unlock the door. It's just a nuisance but I'd like to get it resolved because it will also sit in the garage and randomly thump for no reason. Another new strange occurrence is that the alarm now works, whereas before it was so quiet that it could hardly be heard. I suspect something between the door lock and alarm being the problem but the dealer is clueless. Other weird things like the seat not always moving when you put the key in the ignition , the alarm going off randomly when exiting the car are happening as well.

View 3 Replieswhen i bought the t-reg the next day we drove 12 hours to NC, and every time we were on the pike for a while then pulled into a service plaza to refuel or take a break the treg would all of a sudden either jam the brakes or lug the transmission really abrupt just for a instant [URL]....................... it is hard to tell which it is. Kind of like not pulling in the clutch when coming to a stop..
View 4 RepliesI have a 2003 Camry LE and one of my dash speakers blew. I finally decided to replace rather than listen to scratchy horrible sounds coming from my dash. I can't seem to find any diagrams/info on how to get to those speakers. I even checked in my repair manual that I use for everything else, and it wasn't in there. How I can go about doing this?

View 3 RepliesWhen accelerating quickly with v10 get a noise like that of speed bumps on side of highway(bumpy humming) for a split second and then goes away. No change in performance but just had 2 new rears put on and alignment done.

One was a fan and the other looked like two overlapping rectangles like on the steering wheel controls and on the compass controls. I pushed the top button and they disappeared. I haven't been able to reproduce them.
View 18 RepliesMy year-old Camry hybrid stalled out last night. It was the second time this has happened. The first time, about a month ago, I made a quick start from a light, followed by a quick stop, both actions to avoid an accident. (I was about to get rear-ended and scooted into the intersection to give the guy closing in my mirror more room.) After the stop, the car had no power but it started up, no problem. Last night, I was about a minute into my trip, stopped at a light, and the power just died. Again, it started no problem.
This time I noticed that the radio went out. Not sure about the headlights. The emergency blinkers came on at the touch of the button before I restarted. In both cases, I stepped on the accelerator and got no power. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't replicate the problem, of course, and whatever interrogation they did of the systems found no faults. They had to be convinced that I knew the difference between an actual stall and just going from gas to electric. It's kind of disconcerting to just stall out in the middle of the street. And I'm concerned that this is a problem that could get worse -- probably just after the warranty lapses.
I hear a vibration almost like a blown speaker but it does not happen on all songs. SO this leads me to believe it is something in the door. Also if I put pressure on the door it goes away.
View 2 RepliesI recently upgraded from the CD radio to the nav radio and just noticed a problem. My center console speaker (under the windshield) no longer work. All the other speakers work properly.

Sometimes goes back on when you hid a bump like there's a poor connection.
Lat week I dropped my '04 V6 Touareg off at my dealer for some minor warranty work. On the way to the dealer, I noticed a weird noise and vibration whenever I turned the steering wheel. I mentioned this to the dealer when I dropped the car off. They called me later saying that there was a leak in the steering rack and the whole thing needed to be replaced. The car wasn't safe to drive, so they would provide a rental.
Today, I get a call saying that the steering rack finally came in, but that upon installing it they noticed that something connectet to the steering or front suspension (I can't remember what it was, tie rod perhaps?) was bent, probably from hitting a pot hole, and that therefore the replacement would not be covered by warranty. Needless to say, this will not be cheap.
I do not take my Touareg off road, and I don't remember hitting any pot hole so hard that it could have bent something. My questions are:
- Is this a known or common problem/issue with Touaregs?
- Could hitting a pot hole or something a long time ago cause a leak many months later?
After getting my passenger speaker replaced for that gurgly, horrible noise that comes out during deep bass notes. it went away. IT HAS COME BACK NOW TEN FOLD! on both sides of my car, and has been happening every morning! it was very upsetting to come back to after being away for two weeks.

-Audio is my hobby. I hear things that many people don't. One of the things I'm hearing from my Sound System I is a faint buzzing/vibration in many of the speakers. Some of it can only be heard in certain songs (Steely Dan/Jack Of Speed - Great song!), or when playing an audio book. Most of the time, it comes from the woofers, but with audio books (spoken word), I can hear it from midrange/tweeters as well.
-I've had the car at the dealer multiple times for this. They did replace one speaker and claim to have parts in order to fix it. I suspect that the speakers are just vibrating on their mounts, or vibrating something inside the door. I might be able to fix it. How to take the door panels off so the speakers can be accessed?
I noticed that when I was driving the other day, the right front passenger lower speaker made this terrible popping/thunder sound. I took the REG in today and the lady told me that there is a faulty speaker and amp, and that they are ordering a new set from Germany. She also told me that one of VW's touareg reps was in town today and she is reporting this problem to him so this will not be future problem with touaregs.

The only trouble I've had so far is a very low "clicking" coming from the front driver door speaker when the radio is on. Otherwise, I've enjoyed the vehicle a lot.I am also looking to install my IPOD so that I can play it through the radio...
Our 2005 V8 no longer makes any sounds relating to the blinkers in use, seat belts unbuckled, headlights are on, hazard lights, etc. The only sound it's kept are the ones the parking sensors make.
View 7 RepliesMy wifes 04 v6 touareg make noises now like either a computer crunching files or an electrical fire is about to happen?? the weird thing is when i turn off the display on the dash thru the menu it stops making the noise ?? its not loud enough to hear with the stereo on but it is when its off. the sound itself seems to be coming from the center of the display area over the steering wheel.
