I've experienced a problem a couple of times now where I have turned my t-reg with the turn signal on. When I get out of the car the turn signal light is lit (not flashing) and it stays that way until I get back into the car and turn off the turn signal. Is this normal?
View 3 RepliesOver the past 2 days I drove without the center of the steering wheel in place because I was in the middle of removing the turn signal arm - I had to wait until I found a T55 torque bit for removing the steering nut. Anyway, the I installed a new turn-signal arm and re-assembled the steering wheel and such. Even after reconnecting the airbag I'm still getting an airbag light on my instrument cluster. Is this a fault code that needs to be reset from the dealer? I know I plugged all the connectors correctly - only one way to do it.
View 1 RepliesI have a 1996 Volvo 960. The turn signal light on the right side of the car stays on at all times. Left blinker works. Hazards come on but dont blink. I have checked all bulbs and replaced any that did not look perfect. Did not fix problem. Next I checked all the fuses related to any lights. No fuses blown or damaged. I am now to the point where I would like to first replace the flasher relay and if that doesnt work I will replace the hazard switch.
I am under the belief that the flasher relay is behind the ashtray, and I have it pulled apart to gain a visual. I have referenced several sites to find a diagram for the relays but most are of the 840 model or of the 960 prior to 1994. My relays are NOT on one panel behind the ashtray...they are on two... one on each side of the center hump. Each must be accessed by removing the panels under the dash. Since I am unable to find a diagram or picture of the relay panels for the 1996 960 I am stuck and unsure which one should be pulled and tested or replaced.
This is the first time I ever encountered this then again this is my first non-Honda/Acura vehicle. I pulled into my driveway turned the engine off , opened the door and the sound that signals your lights are on was blaring. I looked and did not have any lights on and all doors/hatch were shut. I could not figure it out why... then I noticed my right turn signal light was on.............. so I clicked it off and the noise stopped. Is this normal for the engine to be off and the signal light stay on and wail if it has not reset itself from a turn?
View 4 RepliesMy T-rex was in recently for what seemed like 30 recalls... In the midst of it...my turn signal light bulb went out. They changed it...good thing cause you need to remove the ENTIRE headlight assembly with a special tool, etc. Well...my headlight now goes on/off as it hits bumps etc...was back in once to have it fixed...and has since started again. I noticed the entire assembly does not fit as well (tight) as it did originally, nor like the other assembly that has never been touched. Appears to have been the first assembly they have worked on and broke something cause now it does not mount properly...so after all that...
Had this headlight assembly removed?

View 2 RepliesI have a 97 Buick Regal with turn signal issues. The left side will not flash but stays lit and the right side flashes fast. I have the problem isolated to the Daytime Running Light Module. (replaced turn signal stalk, flasher and bulbs). I ran a jumper wire bypassing the module and everything works as it should. Do I need to replace this module, or can I simply bypass it without it messing anything else up. I don't want my horn going off when I change the station on the radio.
View 1 RepliesNew to the Touareg game, but i have had (4) vw's including my R32 (Touareg is my wife's car) and we are experiencing our first problem. Wife called me on the phone and said that the turn signal indicators on the dash are NOT working but the signal lamps on the outside of the vehicle ARE working.
I haven't been able to check the car yet seeing as she is not home and I am still at work. So I guess my question would be, could it be a fuse? or what... electrical gremlin...? I had her shut the car off and take the key out of the ignition and then start the car back up but no dice...
My turn signal blinking noise just stopped but turn signal lights still work and no error codes or messages. I know some folks don't like the noise but I do since the noise lets me know that I've left the signal on.
I do not remember seeing it in either fuse box.
So I'm not sure if it's something I did or an actual issue. I've had my t-reg less than a week and I just noticed that for some reason the turn signals don't seem to function properly.
Here's what happens: The signals outside the car (incl. side view mirrors) will work. But I get no clicking noise and the indicators on the dash do not light up (same issue with hazzards). I turned the car on/off and the radio on/off and nothing.
So I turn around and come back home to call my VW dealer, but all of a sudden the signals just started working again after I restarted the car. Did I do something?
For some reason it just stopped - did I do some top secret code?

View 9 RepliesJust got a Touareg 04 v6 it got something that im not quite shore of. The foot light stay on when i turn the headlight is that normal. IF it is how can i just make them turn on by opening the door. Also when i turn the car on the a/c turn on sometime, the last question is the engine fan would stay on in high speed. I change the water temp sensor on the back of the engine block and still the same problem. My friend it telling me that we my have to change the fan assembly becouse the fan comp it might be bad.

View 3 RepliesI took of the brake light above the rear glass hatch, it does not come on when braking, it is a LED light, tested with a 9v battery and worked ok but not working while installed, fuses are ok. Should I just buy a new one and replace it?
View 4 Repliesmy car is a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser with over 75K on it. My problem is two fold. First, recently the right rear turn signal light shorts out but only in the morning it seems. Because we've been getting a lot of rain in Nashville and the surrounding area, I suspect the high dewpoint and humidity might play a part here but I think I just need to replace the bulb.The second issue is a little more annoying. For whatever reason, the "air bag warning" light on the driver side console comes on and I cannot figure out why.The third issue is a little more pressing. I noticed during the summer whenever I was idling and had the A/C running, occasionally I would hear the engine act like it was about to stall out, like RPMs had dropped significantly. Now I've noticed it does that when the front defroster is running and winter is coming. What can I do about any of these problems listed here?
View 7 RepliesI have a 2004 t-reg, purchased used about 4 months ago. I love VW but have doubts about this purchase from the numerous problems/issues (Tire pressure & flat tire sensor, unable to turn off headlights, etc). This new issue has me worried the most:
While stopped at a light, the car began to shake (almost like it was sputtering at a low RPM), and immediately after, a warning light came on. It flashed at first, then went solid. I don't recall what the warning light stood for (and I don't have the manual with me), but it looks like a faucet (best way I can describe it), it's yellow, on the left side of the instrument panel.
I drove it today because I have to, but only 2 miles. Can I get a way with doing this for the next couple of days? I don't have time to take it in this week.
I have a 2006 Sonata GL. The airbag light on the dashboard stays off when I turn the key on and starting the engine, I checked fuses of airbag they were good. where is the problem?

We have a 2015 Sonata 2.4 Sport that has developed an intermittent turn signal problem. When the left turn signal is turned on, the right signal will blink. When the right signal is turned on, nothing blinks. A new symptom that recently started is sometimes neither turn signal will turn on regardless of the position of the turn signal stalk. I managed to get the car to dealer #1 while the LEFT=RIGHT & RIGHT=NOTHING issue was happening but while troubleshooting it, they ran across an inactivated aftermarket alarm system that dealer #2 that sold me the car had installed. I guess the alarm they install is so cheap, it's not even worth removing if they are unsuccessful in upselling you at the time of purchase.
Since dealer #1 would not troubleshoot any further unless the alarm was removed, I retrieved the car and took it back to the original dealer #2 I bought it from. They removed the alarm and the turn signals started working again, however, this lasted about 2 weeks before the symptoms returned. I booked an appointment at the dealer #1 to bring the car in & half way during the drive there, the turn signals started working again. With nothing to show them, I didn't drop off the car. Now the problem is back. Since it tends to come and go, I have try and time when I can drop the car off so it's happening when they get it.
