I replaced my wipers and it was working fine for the first two weeks. Now it seems to wipe with some resistance. It doesn't have a smooth motion going up and down. I really can't explain it perfectly what wrong, but when the wipers go up it's like something is blocking the lower part of the blade from having a smooth motion.
View 4 RepliesWhen I press on the brake pedal, at about halfway point, I feel a clacking sensation instead of a smooth downward motion. When I let my foot off the pedal, I feel the sensation again. There also seems to be a small knocking sound when I feel that clacking.
In terms of braking, there's no issue. It's just a minor annoyance that's been bugging me for a while. Camry 2012.....
Drove down yesterday it was drizzling and saw an SUV coming up rapidly behind me. Moved over to the middle lane and opened up as he trid to go past, we go to 130mph before traffic slowed me. As he cruised past in the fast lane I noticed the V10 TDI badge. Over 120 the wind resistance became a factor more for the Touareg than me.
View 1 RepliesI have an 05 V10 Touareg with air suspension. I often experience a kinking motion when going around roundabouts. It is as though the car wants to go straight even though the steering wheel is turning to the right or left. It is random, and my dealer has experianced the kinking and says that it should be expected. A friend of mine also has a V10 and his doesn't do it.

The steering wheel vibrates at speeds above 70mph on relatively smooth highways (my Wrx and the crappy Jetta rental I drove today showed no vibration to 90 mph on the same road.). The vibration is slight, but definitely there and noticeable if you take your hands off the wheel not a great way to drive at 75mph.
The dealership says they found no problem with steering wheel vibration.
My question is: is some vibration normal in this vehicle, given vehicle size, tire size, and crappy construction? I'm just not used to seeing any based on the Japanese cars I've always driven.
Wipers on my 07 are out of control....fast with drizzle, slow with rain, stop all together when car stops regardless of rain or not, slow down, speed up. No pattern to what they do. Intermittent does not exist. Anyway, I think I saw a posting about this and now I can't find it. I want to go in with the TSB so I can get in & out without proving my case. Taking it in for service in the AM because the 'hood ajar' warning went on at 75mph today and now has the display locked with the warning and the hood seems all OK.

View 12 RepliesHaving problem adjusting the rain sensing wipers? They're either going too fast or they won't stop when the windshield is dry and not getting wet. I hate these rain sensing wipers. My Audi A4 has several adjustments in the intermittent mode and it works great. Why VW couldn't stick with that I'll never know.
View 16 RepliesI have an 2007 v8 in campy white..barely 10k miles on it only one issue my wipers stopped working twice..both times a loose nut fixed by the dealer..while washing the other day i noticed minor scratches behind the door handle on the outside.

I have noticed the noisy windshield wipers, the condensation on the windshield, minor binding problems when turning, and some hesitation/jumpiness in the throttle. I talked to a dealer today and they said if I had a list of things to fix, they could do it in a day.
My front wipers have quit and have seen a similar thread a while ago indicating that this is something others have encountered. This happened once before about a month ago, and they started up again a few days later. So I don't think it is the motor. The back ones work, the fluid works, but no fronts.
View 2 RepliesJust got my Touareg a little over a week ago and used the wipers for the first time today and noticed that they make a rather loud noise everytime they wipe the windshield (I believe the driver-side blade is making most of the noise). It's hard to describe the noise but it's probably the most annoying. It seems to be loudest when it's drizzling or misting and the wipers engage (triggered by the auto-sensor). How to to resolve it?
View 10 RepliesOne area we have been disappointed with is the lack of sufficient tension on the windscreen wipers. The local dealer broke the plastic replacing the blade which did nothing to correct the problem. The rear wiper is just as bad, leaving a large area never swiped. The driver side blade leaves a large half bubble shaped area un-wiped in front of the driver.
View 13 RepliesEvery time my wipers go they chatter or bounce on the glass as they go across. Even when there is a TON of water on the windshield it will still do this... though not as much. It seems to happen more at the bottom of the wiper.
I don't know if it is a design flaw with the wipers, if I just have a bad set of blades, or what could cause it. In the past with other cars I have only had this problem when I tried to wipe dry glass.
Well its raining and my wipers made a chattering noise and just stopped checked the fuse its ok.

1. Display shows the hood as open, even though it is not.
2. Wipers work only when they want to
Also, cover to ash tray/lighter in center console popped off its tracks.
How to deal with this stuff on my own, or am I headed to service?
We bought my wife's V8 2005 Treg new in December of 2006. It had sat on the lot of the dealership with several others so they were doing what they could to get rid of them. Anyway, it has been awesome, with a few electronic issues, but the one problem that will not go away deals with the brakes. They squeak all of the time and the Treg only has 13,000 miles. It seems that it goes away right after a carwash, or if I intentionally brake very hard. The dealership has inspected the brakes and states that nothing is wrong and that this just happens.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2012 Touareg TDI Lux which I absolutely love for so many reasons. Since almost day one my brakes squeek when I back up only. I now have 6200 miles on my vehicle and it drives me nuts. It can be wet, dry, backing up fast or slow and it shrieks.
Just dropped by my local dealer and was told it is something to do with the pads seating which is BS after 6200 miles.
Brakes squeaking when first got Touareg? Mine only seems to do it when I am lightly braking.
