Happened for the second time in 5 days this morning. Radio starts up and says reinitializing and then comes back with all presets to 184. Don't like this happening!!

Touareg :: Satellite Radio Randomly Resetting / Losing Presets?
The thing just randomly will dump it's station preset memory and I'll turn the car on and all my stations will be gone and replaced with 184 (weather, i think). Everything else is fine, FM is fine, and it remembers everything else... it just loses SR1/SR2 presets. Very odd.

I was wondering if with vagcom you can change the scroll-wheel on the steering wheel to run through the 6 presets, rather than just going through all of the stations. The way it is, I find it useless but it would be great if it could go through my presets. Maybe I just missed it in the owners manual...but I don't think VW gives you a way to change it... Btw, it's an '04.5 V8 w/ nav - fully loaded.

Touareg :: V8 - Changing Radio Station From Steering Column
I have a V8 w/o navigation. I am able to adjust the volume of the radio from the steering column but would like to know whther I can change stations from the steering column as well. None of the controls seem to allow it.

This light started coming on only yesterday, right after I finished installing the elearnaid replacement Optima battery. It now happens every time I start the car, along with all the other lights that normally come on, and disappearing after a few seconds, like the other dash lights that are supposed to come on when you start the car.
I did have to replace my radio presets, the time on the clock, and once again remove the reverse beep, which I did with no difficulty, but this "MAINT REQD" light still comes on.
This light should not come on since I had the oil changed last month and until yesterday's 12v Optima replacement, the light indeed did not come on.
I tried a fix, which did not work:
1. the one given in my 2006 owner's manual, on p.130,
Replaced a 12v battery? How to get rid of this light?
Passat (B7) :: 2012 - RNS510 Losing Nav Satellite Reception
I have a 2012 Passat with RNS510 nav radio and it just started losing Sat Nav reception. I will Start it up and it will have say 5-7 satellites out 10 and slowly the number will drop to 0 and sometimes the nav will show me off road and in fields sometimes in another city. I was told it was the antenna.

I've had this 2013 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) for about 6 months. During that time on at least three or four occasions I've lost all my radio presets. They just disappear and are replaced with stations I don't use. It seems to happen in between car usages, not while driving, but I am not sure about that. I am not noticing any other problems. It's a HD radio. I did not continue Sirius after the introduction period.

I bought the 1999 GLS, came with JVC radio. I get ONE radio station in scan; when manually tuning to local stations, there is either nothing, or very poor reception. I had the radio pulled out (by local car radio shop), antenna is plugged in. I put a new flexible 16" roof antenna on (when removing it, even the ONE station is lost).

I get really crappy reception. Sometimes it just doesn't work at all. I have Sirius on other cars and I was able to get reception on them. Sometimes if I'm stopped I just re-boot the car and sometimes I get signal so I don't think its all an antenna issue.

Had my 2015 GTI for two months now and I've been experiencing so minor issues with my stereo. Sometimes when I start the car it will reset the radio to 87.7FM which is completely static and not an actual radio station does it completely at random. Second issue that I've had is when my Ipod is plugged in it won't allow me to change the song, either from the screen or from the steering wheel. The only way to get it to work again is pulling over and restarting the car.

I've had my MK6 GTI for about 4 months now, and this is my first car with a satellite radio (RCD-510). I honestly don't know much about sat radios, or what to expect from them. I have the Dynaudio package. I run my head-unit with all the sliders in the middle right now.
I am not impressed with the sound quality of Sirius (or Ipod MEDIA-IN for that matter), to me Sirius sounds like low quality mp3 stream, less than say 128kbps. It sounds "muddy" and unclear, highs don't have definition and lack dynamic range. There is even some static between let's say hi-hat strikes or other crisp notes. Normal FM radio sounds better, and CD or good mp3 files on SD card even better. Sirius sounds so bad that it is practically worthless to me, comparable to AM reception.
Prius (2010-12) :: Location Of Satellite Radio?
My sat radio says No Signal. Sirius checked it out and said everything was fine on their end. I checked the antenna and it is OK. I am thinking there may be a problem where the antenna connects to the Satellite box but I don't know where they store it to check it. Under the seat?? Under the trunk?? Behind the dash??

I have a 2012 Prius hatchback. For the last 3 years the satellite works just fine however for some reason about a month ago it just stopped finding a signal? The FM and AM radio load just fine (even though the signal typically stinks) but when I go to a Sirius channel it just says "loading" and I never get a signal. I called Sirius they did all kinds of test signals over the air but could not find an issue. They told me I should go to the dealer..

A new problem with the navigation system display on our 2010: the radio station buttons are mapping with an offset.
In other words, I press the top left preset button, and get the radio station two positions down. If I want the top left station, I must select an area well above that station on the touch screen.
Is there a way to reset the touch screen so that it maps correctly?
Camry :: 2011 Cannot See Radio Station Setting Display In Sunlight
I got a 2011 Camry a couple of months ago with the EX Radio Bluetooth, MP3, Satellite, and more. After I got it I realized you can't see the radio station setting display in the sunlight. I took it in and found out there is no way to adjust the brightness unless it's at night with the lights on. Turning the little odometer knob adjust other things but this radio is an LCD display of whilte letters and numbers on a gray background. When the headlights are on the adjustment just makes the backlight brighter, not the lettering. Don't say turn the odometer knob, that doesn't work as I said above.

I have a 2009 GS350.
Its Satellite radio ready, meaning it has a SAT button and it has the shark fin antenna on the roof. When you push the SAT button nothing happens. I was told I need to get the unit installed. I am assuming all the wires are run through the car and its just a simple plug and play, but I'm thinking that would be too easy. Also where does the unit get installed? Where to even look to see if the wires are there.
