I did the rear fog light install yesterday and I am trying to activate the rear fog light icon in the instrument cluster. My lights have been vag'd (base now ...5692).
View 12 RepliesThe instrument cluster settings has not been working and they would not set when i would try to do this.It would go back to the same setting as before.They checked it on the computer and everything would register like it was ok but the computer could not detect the fault.Come to find out it needs a new instrument cluster and that was the fix for it after they took three more Tregs apart to make sure it would either work or not work at all.They all worked except for mine.It is being replaced and shipped overnight.
View 3 RepliesMy dashboard has a rattle (surprise!) in the instrument cluster and today I have located the source of the noise. It comes from the right side of the hood piece over the dials. The right corner of the front edge of that hood rattles against the rest of the console. It can be fixed by applying a little piece of the electric tape or a piece of foam on the inside of that hood. I do want to go to the dealer and I'd prefer to fix such a minor problem by myself.
Looking for a schematic on how to take the dashboard apart? I wonder, why this dashboard hood consists of 2 pieces made of hard plastic attached without any padding? Of course, they will rattle!
I am on occasion getting a warning on my instrument cluster regarding my locking diff. System Fault!! Workshop!! is displayed. As well the adjustment knob on the center console flashes yellow.

View 20 RepliesThe brake pads worn symbol has lit up in the instrument cluster on my wife's 2008 Touareg V8. The car has 33K. Per Tom Bush VW in Jacksonville, both pads and rotors must be replaced. This is without even looking at it.
Per Osteen VW also in JAX, I might not have to replace the rotors. They stated that what they have seen is that usually the rotors don't get replaced until the second visit to replace pads.
Having issue with the 2006 Touareg instrument clusters. The upper left hand corner of the instrument cluster is getting dim. Also, my wife was driving to work the other day, and she stated that she heard what sounded like electrical arcing behind the console. Just curious. She has had the touareg in for service for the air bag error, which they had to order a part. Also, a mysterious headlight error keeps popping up, but then goes away. I don't want a fireball touareg.

View 3 RepliesWith the car OFF, there's a blinking light in the lower row of the instrument cluster, right to the left of the ABS indicator. Can't find any reference to it in the book. It blinks just fast enough that I can't really decipher it, but if I stare at it long enough, I see a padlock and maybe a car outline. What this might be, and is there a complete mapping of all lights in the cluster anywhere?
View 5 RepliesSo I'm driving my kids to school, and this light pops up on the dash (with a chime, of course). So for fun, I had my son pull out the owners manual and look for it.
It isn't in the manual.. In fact, the book shows NOTHING in that cluster location.
Luckily I got a picture of it, 'cause it disappeared after about 20 minutes.
I have a 2012 F350 XLT that came out of Canada. So of course the speedometer is in KM. (Large numbers are km and smaller numbers are mph). I am trying to find out if I can simply change out my cluster with a mph cluster???
View 4 RepliesI have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata that has the "Air Bag" light (Red indicator in the instrument panel). This is not the amber indicator for the passenger side air bag sensor. There is also an error code "B1706-Passenger Buckle Pretensioner Voltage High". Is this the "Female" part of the passenger side seatbelt buckle (i.e. the part that is attached to the left side of the seat)? Most of what I've seen on the web is referencing that part. Am I on the right track?
View 19 RepliesBought a VAG cable, got VCDS 12.12.0 running. Found the instrument cluster and changed the region to ROW(rest of world)(I have a US Tiguan). The center screen on the cluster changes( as in F change to C, Miles change to Kilometers, everything is ok). However, after recoding the cluster the airbag, ABS, and ESP warning lights come on. Once I revert all changes back to the US coding, everything is again ok.

View 7 RepliesSomeone mentioned that the lighting on the speedo/revs came on after a delay instead of slowly getting brighter. Anyway mines now doing this, the needles light up red then maybe 15 seconds later the background lights come on.

Only thing working on instruments on steering wheel is the left side is the radio and phone and volume and mode right side of steering wheel not working but nothing is illuminated!!!!???? On wheel

View 24 RepliesWe just replaced instrument cluster and turned the key to on position for 10 minutes. We waited for the anti-theft light to quit flashing and the car runs great but the anti-theft light will not go off. How can I fix this problem?
View 4 RepliesI own a 2012 Toyota Camry LE (TCLE), and recently I've noticed that the "instrument cluster" shows "MAINT REQD" warning light on for more than a few seconds when I start the car. All other warning lights do turn off while the "MAINT REQD" is still ON for a few seconds more than I usually remember. This car has about 25K miles, and I bought it with 19K miles. Should I take it to a dealer for a check up? By the way, I was waiting until the end of February to take the car for a oil change, but I am now concerned with this stupid WARNING light
View 14 RepliesI've been getting a random, periodic flicker of the light on the instrument cluster. It seems like it occurs when the rpm's are increasing to 2000. Does the light come on for over voltage as well as under voltage? When I check the voltage at the batteries at idle, I'm in the 14.5 v range. I cleaned/tightened all the wires to the battery and alternator and it is still occurring, will be doing the ground wires on sunday.
2003 4x4 7.3 no tunes
I have a 2011 F150 supercrew 4x4 5.0, it has almost 8k miles. I have looked around online to see if this is a common issue but haven't found anything really. The airbag warning light in the instrument cluster will come on and stay on randomly. Some days it only lights up when I start the truck, other days it will turn on and stay on until I restart the truck. I think I have a glitch or a malfunction in a switch somewhere with the Airbag system. I will be calling the dealership about it after we finish the Easter Weekend.
