I'm having a little bit of a problem with my keyless entry. The rear doors are not opening when i touch the handle, but they do lock. My dealer says that this is "normal" though I'm pretty confident that I have used the keyless entry to open the rear doors in the past. I'm not knocking on my dealer, as they've really been good about warranty issues (no questions asked), but i think my SA is misinformed.
View 15 RepliesWhen I open the doors on my touareg, the rear hatch does not unlock. When I try to program it as an option to open the rear hatch when I unlock the doors, it works for awhile. But, it always goes back to not opening. I recall a few months ago a similar question or post about a solution, like reprogramming something else first or at the same time.

I changed the batteries but the problem still remains. Now I cannot even start the engine I receive the message "Key Not Found" ... This could be a faulty antenna or the Kessy Module?

View 2 RepliesJust got a 2000 Explorer XLS and I can not open the rear doors from inside. Made sure child locks are off. Works fine from outside. Handle doesn't feel loose or anything. Power locks work fine.

View 4 RepliesI have just purchased a 2009 Ford Crown Vic Interceptor a few weeks ago. One of the few things I would like to fix is the rear doors. I want to have people in the back have the ability to roll down their own windows and open their own doors. I have plugged the wires, that were in the armrest back into the button but still doesn't work. I am assuming the fuse might also be missing from the fuse box but I have not looked yet and when looking through the owners manual I could figure out which fuse it would have been or its place.
The other issue with the doors is people getting out on their own rather than me feeling like their limo driver or something... Iss there a kit I can buy to get the doors in full working order? If I take it into a ford dealership will/can they fix it?
The rear doors on our '07 V10 no longer unlock when the handle is grasped. They also refuse to respond to the unlock button on the key fob. They will unlock in response to the button on the inside of the driver's door.

View 7 RepliesWell I have had my T-Reg for 24 hours and only have one issue. The rear window on the hatch will not open. We read the manual multiple times and it states you just unlock the hatch and than hold the button underneath the wiper and it should open. No luck. Looks like it could be some electrical thing.
View 1 RepliesI walk up the car, try to open rear door(doesn't open) drivers side door opens.. get the message, 'side light on' on MFI my lights are set as automatic, no turn signals on. try to start car w/ starter button, no go. try key, nothing. try full left, then full right(as if 1 battery dead) get 'immobile. active' finally got it started, after..[what did it] open hood, close hood. unlock/lock car w/ clicker several times. insert key w/ opposite side up.[normally when using the key, I have an emergency button up]. car starts.
Had a similar issue again later in a day, but got a key icon on MFI after it started. i'm going to try a different key, to see if that makes any difference. as starter button glows and clicker works to unlock/lock. I can't imagine the system doesn't see the key as visible. in the manual, it states that if the key doesn't appear present the immobilizer is activated.
I have used (or tried to) the rear window exactly twice over the last year or so and it has never opened easily.Is there some trick to opening the rear window? I've searched the manual and threads and have come up empty.
As reference here is what I've tried to open it:
-Using the key fob and door buttons to unlock the "trunk"
-Pushed button under the wiper blade housing then pulled the housing to open the window
-Pushed the button under the wiper blade housing while simultaneously pulling the housing up to open the window
-Used the door button to unlock the trunk and immediately ran to the back of the truck to open the window
-Used the convenience function (meaning did not push any buttons)and pushed the button under the wiper blade housing while simultaneously pulling the housing up to open the window
BTW, the hatch is always closed when I try to open the window.
As I said, I used some combination of the above to open the window twice after numerous attempts. Last night I tried everything and could not get the darn thing to open so I used the ski bag and rear seat pass-though to store what I needed while the front of it rested on the front passengers' armrest. I don't think anything is broken, it is likely that I just don't know how the darn thing works and the manual stinks.
On my 04 'reg the rear hatch stopped operating suddenly. I tried the manual release etc and no go. I can hear the mechanism activate when I push on the hatch mounted release (sounds normal) but the door will not budge.
View 1 RepliesEvery so often when I open the rear window, my MFI will report it "open" even when it's not. Thus far the only solution I have found is that I have to exit the vehicle re-open and re-close the rear window. I have checked the rear window to see if it was open or loose - but it's been secured each time.
View 1 RepliesEver since the dealer did some work on my TReg that involved removing the back bumper, and some other side panels to fix a whistling noise (this is a known problem with a bead of glue being left in some wind channel during manufacturing), when I go over a bump the alarm goes off that the rear hatch is open.
I have to slam the rear window 4 or 5 times to get the indicator to go back off. Dealer says I have to bring it in to have it looked at and they give me a rental. I want them to be able to order the fricken part, let me know when it is in, and THEN drop it off to get fixed. Just the sensor being loose possibly?
When it goes off, the picture of the vehicle comes on in the MFI which is annoying, because I can't change to anything else. And when I stop I have to make sure it is off or interior lights stay on.
My darling wife just called me and told me that one of the people that she was transporting in our egg this afternoon pulled up the passenger-side rear sunshade and hooked it on the clips at the top. Then apparently he just rested his arm on the ledge and they heard some sort of "pop" noise. Then, when he unhooked the sun shade to retract it back into the door it wouldn't pull back and retract so it's stuck in the "open" position. I'm guessing it's a simple matter of popping off the door skin and resetting something that's popped/snapped off.
View 5 RepliesThe drivers side rear door on our 2004 T'reg is stuck shut. Neither the interior or exterior door handle will open the door. I tried locking/unlocking it a few times, both with the remote and with the interior button. Is this a simple fix, or is it off to the dealership with me?
View 2 RepliesI just had my treg serviced. One of the tsb's performed was the remote antenna fix. Range is much improved but one problem; the center button on the key remote which used to open the rear hatch doesn't work anymore. Now when pressed, the lights flash and the hatch does not open. I checked the comfort settings and they are still set at unlock doors and hatch.
View 5 RepliesI currently have an 05 Limited X and I've also noticed this on other 05 X's as well. The front driver and passenger side doors near the lower end with the cladding doesn't seem to match up with the rear doors. This goes for both driver and passenger front doors. I at first thought maybe it was just on the X I have but this is something I've taken notice of on just about all of the 05 Limited's I've looked at. What I'm referring to with the front doors being popped out a small bit and not matching up or being perfectly aligned with the rear doors?
I've had an 01 Limited and the doors wasn't anywhere near how mis-aligned they seem to be on the 05 Limited's. I haven't checked years between or XLT's. But on almost or pretty much all 05 Limited's I'm noticing this. Some are not as bad as others or as noticeable as others. But for some reason they all seem to pop out a little towards the bottom. When I speak of doors I'm referring to the doors itself, not the cladding/molding sticking out.
