View 8 RepliesI recently had to have e my alarm replaced on the car and after i left the dealer i parked and locked the car and came to notice that the chirp is no longer a chirp but a high pitched very loud beep that lasts longer than the previous chirp. The odd thing is that when i activate the alarm it sounds exactly as it should. I contact the dealer and asked if they gave me the right alarm and assured me that it is right and properly installed. What is going on??
View 6 RepliesI have problem in my alarm siren, need to say it's an original electronic with 3 pins connector, the problem is i don't hear any sound to the siren when it's going off , when i arm it i do hear 1 peep and when i disarm i do hear 2 peeps, but when i open any door it's just blinking the hazard without any sound! i checked via VAG-5051 in 46 then 02 to find faults, i found 1 fault : H12 no communication!
When I do 46 then 03 to operate the siren i do hear it just peeping ! I wondered if the 5051 telling me no communication with the sirenH12, then how do the siren peeps in lock and unlock?
So I don't have the option of turning off the chirp from my convenience menu...like it says in the owner's manual.Any way to activate this via vag com?
View 3 RepliesMy alarm some time back just decided to no longer chirp when armed and disarmed.
View 13 RepliesAs the title states, my alarm horn chirps when opening the unlocked passenger door in my '03 Golf. Asked the master tech about it and we sat there scratching our heads for a while. Nothing he's ever seen or heard before. What set of conditions would create this?
View 2 RepliesSo my car used to 'chirp' loudly when I locked it. Didn't mess with any settings, and now it 'chirps' but its very quiet, almost unnoticeable. As far as I know there is no way to adjust this, maybe my 'chirper' is broken?

View 2 RepliesOn my display, I get a "Key Battery is Empty" alarm with a little key symbol that stays there as long as I am driving. I have replaced the battery...still the alarm. I have tried the other FOB...still the alarm. The thing is, the FOB works (I have the keyless start) so it seems to be a software issue but how do I reset it without venturing down to the dealer?
View 4 RepliesToday I drove our Treg and experienced a strange occurrence...twice. I always use my key to interact with the automobile, but used my wife's fob today and had two alarms while shutting the engine down. Both fobs are "keyed" to the truck and have never been reprogrammed. Weird and humiliating to a degree. Our guests must have thought I was stroking myself. What's the deal?
View 6 RepliesAlarm keeps going off and is unable to start the car? I've tryed everything I can think of. If I hit lock on my remote the alarm goes off, when i hit unlock it stops, I has gone off by itself numerous times.
View 1 RepliesI recently encountered a problem with my treg's alarm. There usually is a very audible signal/tone when you lock the car. But now, I can barely hear it anymore. I even tried the PANIC button but the alarm is so faint. What can be causing this and where is the alarm/siren located?
View 6 RepliesIs it possible to activate the alarm lock beep on a 2011- New Spec Touareg?
View 3 RepliesWithin 2.5 hours, some bandits smashed my rear window and opened the door to steal a purse that was stuffed under the driver's seat. When I arrived there was no alarm going off. I know it was locked because I had to unlock the doors with my key.
View 13 RepliesA friend of mine has an '04 Touareg and the tire pressure alarm keeps coming on. He has checked the pressure and it is fine. Took it into the shop and it wasn't giving any codes. It seems that it keeps setting off the alarm intermittently.
View 10 RepliesEver since the dealer did some work on my TReg that involved removing the back bumper, and some other side panels to fix a whistling noise (this is a known problem with a bead of glue being left in some wind channel during manufacturing), when I go over a bump the alarm goes off that the rear hatch is open.
I have to slam the rear window 4 or 5 times to get the indicator to go back off. Dealer says I have to bring it in to have it looked at and they give me a rental. I want them to be able to order the fricken part, let me know when it is in, and THEN drop it off to get fixed. Just the sensor being loose possibly?
When it goes off, the picture of the vehicle comes on in the MFI which is annoying, because I can't change to anything else. And when I stop I have to make sure it is off or interior lights stay on.
Where is the Air Conditioner Filter in Touareg V6? How and How long to replace it? I can't find the information in the manual.
View 8 RepliesWhat is the location of the interior air intakes? Also--- trying "Pure Air By Interdynamics" to get rid of the musty AC smell?
View 6 RepliesThe other I has a slight side impact with my '04 Touareg and the only the side air bags went out. The good news is that the Touareg survived with only limited damage on the passenger's mirror and some scratches on the wheels. However the car shut down completely and would not start again!!! I was told there is a "cut off" switch that shuts down all electrical power supply to avoid any further issues that may occur after an accident. I was not able to locate such switch/ button if that exists.
View 1 Replieswhere is the Aux Audio Input? My owners manual is missing the booklet on the sound system, have no clue where this input is.
View 6 RepliesYesturday at about 3 pm i start to install my newly received kit from spock and all seems well slow but well, i get the wiring in place with no problem but i couldn't get the long purple piece to go in to the small black piece when it came time to reassemble, at this point it starts to rain outside and became dark so i figured i would just finish it in the morning. I try and lock the car and duh it can't happen i have all of that disconnected, so i manually lock the car. This morning i gt up first thing and manually unlock the door and open it only to find the alarm starts to go off. I put my key in the ignition as a normal response to shut the alarm off but the key gets locked into the ignition and now i am left sitting here at 7:30 in the morning with a car alarm that is going off and can't be stopped. I get out and close the door and manually lock the car and that stopped the alarm. Now the problem ... Every time i open the door the alarm goes off i close it, it shuts off.
