I just had my treg serviced. One of the tsb's performed was the remote antenna fix. Range is much improved but one problem; the center button on the key remote which used to open the rear hatch doesn't work anymore. Now when pressed, the lights flash and the hatch does not open. I checked the comfort settings and they are still set at unlock doors and hatch.
View 5 RepliesJust picked up a 2005 and the hatch glass will not open. Tried everything that I have read on here and on ClubTouareg. It has to be the fuse or something. Pressing the button on the remote does nothing and neither does the switch on the driver's side door.

View 4 RepliesWell I have had my T-Reg for 24 hours and only have one issue. The rear window on the hatch will not open. We read the manual multiple times and it states you just unlock the hatch and than hold the button underneath the wiper and it should open. No luck. Looks like it could be some electrical thing.
View 1 RepliesOn my 04 'reg the rear hatch stopped operating suddenly. I tried the manual release etc and no go. I can hear the mechanism activate when I push on the hatch mounted release (sounds normal) but the door will not budge.
View 1 RepliesWhen I open the doors on my touareg, the rear hatch does not unlock. When I try to program it as an option to open the rear hatch when I unlock the doors, it works for awhile. But, it always goes back to not opening. I recall a few months ago a similar question or post about a solution, like reprogramming something else first or at the same time.
View 23 RepliesEver since the dealer did some work on my TReg that involved removing the back bumper, and some other side panels to fix a whistling noise (this is a known problem with a bead of glue being left in some wind channel during manufacturing), when I go over a bump the alarm goes off that the rear hatch is open.
I have to slam the rear window 4 or 5 times to get the indicator to go back off. Dealer says I have to bring it in to have it looked at and they give me a rental. I want them to be able to order the fricken part, let me know when it is in, and THEN drop it off to get fixed. Just the sensor being loose possibly?
When it goes off, the picture of the vehicle comes on in the MFI which is annoying, because I can't change to anything else. And when I stop I have to make sure it is off or interior lights stay on.
04 V8 Touareg. The switch for both the fuel hatch and rear hatch dont work. They worked the other day. I checked all the fuses and everything looks good there. I had disassemble the right rear interior panel to remove the CD changer to get at the manual release lever for the fuel hatch.

So today, I purchased a Prius V (three, I believe). Very happy with it in general so far, but incredibly disappointed to discover that some of the features I have most enjoyed about my 2nd generation don't seem to come with my version of the Prius V.
On my Prius (2nd), I can unlock the hatch (and all other doors) simply by depressing the rectangular button with the key FOB in my pocket. That does *not* work on my Prius V and everything in the manual and what I can find online says that it *should* work.
My hatch has been unlocking just fine (you hear the click and it pops out just a little bit) but when you flip the emblem to open it won't always open. This is of course intermittent so I can't get it to happen at the dealer. It feels unlocked but when you pull on it something still is staying latched and I have to unlock it again with the remote to release.
View 22 RepliesI have myself a hatch stuck shut on my wagon. Wont open with the button and the key doesn't turn. The key fob was actually broken when I bought the car leading me to believe it happened while he tried to unlock the stuck hatch.

View 13 RepliesSo I looked at an 03 Excursion tonight, has some of the usual suspects, but the rear hatch lock doesn't work at all, with the key or with the power locks. This anything other than a "replace its guts" type operation? I've done the foil thing with my F350, actually i cut pennies and replaced the piece with that, but this seems mechanical.
View 8 RepliesWhat is the "type" of these dual filament lights and the proper way to access /change them? Do you pull off the lense from outside the vehicle or remove the inside trim at the top of the hatch and access from the inside??
Since only 1 filament is used can I simply reverse them to the used /non burned out filament or do the bulbs have pins on there sides that prevent that (like a 1157)??
Twice now while out messing around in the snow, I have noticed that the center differential low range selector button has popped up.

When I went to unlock my trunk hatch last night the remote did not work. I then attempted to unlock the doors....still no joy. I attempted to lock the doors....nothing. I then manually opened the door, fearing my battery was dead (after reading the numerous battery threads) and the put the key in the ignition and it started right up? I then took the key out and locked the door using the reote. I unlocked the door and opened the back hatch with the remote. The only thing I could think was my step mother had unlocked her Dodge Durango that was parked next to mine...and maybe this confused my poor touareg!?
View 2 RepliesHere's an odd one. On our mildly cold winter mornings ~12 degC the radio on button doesn't work. This is regardless of the power status the night prior. What's even weirder if that if climate control is off and you turn it on the radio button is fixed. Earth leak, cold temp resistance, 12V battery?

View 6 RepliesI am going to install a center brake light flasher in the rear hatch. I see the panel that appears to cover the area I need on the inside of the hatch between the 2 windows. What is the best way to remove it? Am I on the right track?
