This is driving me nuts and my minus sign on the A/C button is worn out because of this. I don't like to use A/C except when it's really hot. Is there any way to use VAG or setting to prevent it from coming on?
View 9 RepliesWhenever (almost every-time) I start my Treg the A/C comes on. It doesn't matter if I turn it off before (quad zone btw) turning off the car, it still comes on when I start it back up. The fans will be all the way down, but still on (though I don't think the fans are going at all.) Any way to disable this?

View 14 RepliesI replaced the 12V battery yesterday with a new one, and the car (2010 Prius Model III w Navigation), will turn on and off, but the ICE is not turning on automatically upon start-up, as it usually does. I can get the ICE to start by stepping on the gas pedal while in park, although it seems to die within a few seconds if I remove my foot.

View 4 RepliesI'm Using Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. Till last month my car used to unlock doors automatically while taking the key out. Now the problem is :After turning off the ignition & taking the key off Car doors are not unlocking automatically. If doors are unlocked manually from inside by pressing unlock button situated in the car, doors are unlocking. If I unlock the doors manually and open the doors, I'm unable to lock the car with the remote key after closing the doors.

I am very happy with the deal I received and am greatly enjoying the step up in smoothness from the Mazda 3 with manual transmission that I was driving. For now, I have one simple question and will post some other observations over the next few weeks.My question regards the available methods of automatically unlocking the doors when shifting in to park or turning the car off. I want to set my car to the mode talked about on page 55 of the 2013 owners manual where all the doors are unlocked when the drivers door is opened within ten seconds after turning the engine start stop switch off.
I have tried several times to follow the directions shown for the smart key system but I cannot get it to work. I have disabled the auto lock when shift into park function in the car settings in the display audio system. I even tried some random directions that I found on the Internet but they seem to perhaps work only for older Camrys. How to to set their auto door unlocking in the mode described above? I really just would like to check it out and see if I like it. Honestly, I can probably live without it and just press the unlock button or use the unlock when shifting into park mode
I pretty sure they are supposed to do this but when I started the car this morning, in the garage with a dry windshield, the wipers ran twice and stopped. The wiper switch was in the on position from my drive home the evening before. 2004 V8 ....

They daylight running ones are one, but the actual headlights used for night-time use don't come on automatically. I'm able to turn the on automatically by just turning the switch, but I'm just curious why they aren't turning on automatically. I mean they're supposed to right, since its a standard feature nowadays?

View 6 RepliesI noticed that the Treg unlocks automatically (without touching or doing anything) when I approach the PASSENGER side of the car, heck sometimes it even automatically unlocks again as soon as I lock it using the button on the passenger side door handle to lock...... this does not happen if i'm standing on the DRIVER side though... it almost seems like the passenger side keyless access antenna is super sensitive or something as the phenomenon does not seem to occure if i'm more than a few (5-6) ft away from the car...... is this normal/abnormal? can it be adjusted somehow in the MFI? I tried to change the door option on the MFI to unlock only one door and the problem seems to go away, but when ALL DOORS is selected, this always happens...
View 6 RepliesJust got a 2016 V6 Lux. I have a question cerning the electric parking brake.
I noticed that at times when I slowly park into a parking space with an obstacle (such as a wall or another car in front), the electric parking brake would engage automatically. Is this an issue or a feature?
To me, this is annoying since sometimes the electric parking brake would engage when I am not ready to fully stop the car yet (need to park further in). It seems that it is related to the parking sensors.
I picked up my car after 10K service at the local dealer. I get in the car, put tranny in reverse and started driving. Then I noticed that my right mirror is off. So I got out of dealer parking and stopped. Then I looked at the mirror and it was perfectly aligned!
I heard that this feature (mirrors will adjust when you drive in reverse) in Mercedes and some other cars, but nort VW. I was wrong. My Treg has the same feature. The only trick is that your mirror switch in the cabin should be turned to right, like when you try to adjust right passenger mirror. That's it.
Every time you will switch to reverse, you right passenger mirror will turn 30 or more degree down. I was very surprised and pleased that VW has that little feature.

I have 2006 Touareg with original keyless ignition . But unfortunately it stoped working . It writes in the dashboard screen that the key not found . I replaced the key battery but it is still the same . The car doesn't open automatically as well .
What could be the problem ?
Firstly, when i put my car in reverse, my passenger side view mirror does not automatically tilt. is there some sort of setting i must go to?
Secondly, I was wondering if it was possible to AUTOMATICALLY fold the side view mirror when i off the engine, or lock the doors, and for them to automatically unfold when i start the engine or unlock the doors! Instead of manually turning the knob.
I went into the Menu, and there was an option under "locks .... ---> mirrors", and i selected sync. Does that have anything to do with my question?
Thirdly, The rain sensing wipers. I have to activate this by pulling the lever up ONE STEP to the intermittent mode right. I tested the rain sensing wipers with a bottle of water! and the sensor is at the rear view mirror. The question is that when i off the engine and leave the rain wipers under Mode ONE (one step up the lever from off) the car doesn't automatically activate the wipers if it rains. I have to push it down to off! then back to INTERMITTENT MODE! Is this normal?
My 2005 has the ESOF system which has worked flawlessly. Recently I had upper and lower ball joints done and after that repair I had no auto locking hubs. ( independent shop messed up seal install ) they redid the job and it now seems like my front hubs are locking automatically because I am getting binding while turning. So this is the problem.. the front wheels do not "pull" only the rear wheels spin. If I manually lock the hubs I have 4x4 and can get out of being nearly stuck and everything works normally. What is wrong here? Does the shop need to redo the job again?
View 2 RepliesWhen you have the key in the ignition and have it so the steering wheels moves up and outta the way too? My seats sounds like 3-5 seconds of some serious farting action. Not good when on the phone and someone asks, "whats was that?" I am sure its the leather rubbing on the side of the console, but god damn will it ever stop!? Only 5K on the touareg, so maybe it will go away sooner or later...
