Touareg :: A/C Malfunction - Front Grill Flew Off - Smashed Windshield
Well, due to an unresolved A/C issue my dealer has had my Treg for 2 weeks out of the past 2 months and then my front grill flew off and smashed my windshield. Dealership agreed to cover the damage but managed to sell-off my replacement windshield by accident. Been driving around for 2 weeks with a badly cracked windshield, waiting for replacement glass. My center speaker grill in the middle of the dashboard makes rattle noises when the temperature drops. So in the summer the parts expand to be tight and no noise. As soon as the temp drops <60F, the parts shrink slightly and the speaker grill makes all kinds of creaking, rattling noises as the car goes over bumps, goes around turns, etc.

I noticed that when I was driving the other day, the right front passenger lower speaker made this terrible popping/thunder sound. I took the REG in today and the lady told me that there is a faulty speaker and amp, and that they are ordering a new set from Germany. She also told me that one of VW's touareg reps was in town today and she is reporting this problem to him so this will not be future problem with touaregs.
