I wonder, how will we know if/when the parking assist sensors stop working? Will the display be missing some of the yellow lights or will we have to find out the hard way?

View 2 RepliesI have a 2008 LS. The buzzer for my front parking assist sensors is significantly louder than when the buzzer sounds for the rear sensors. I have adjusted the buzzer volume to the loudest position (#5), but the volume of the buzzer when the rear sensors activate is still much lower than for the front sensors.
The indicators on the nav screen for all the sensors are working properly. Do you find the volume is different between the front and rear sensors or do I have a problem?
I am asking because I inadvertently backed out of a driveway into a car that was parked directly across the street. I do not recall hearing the sensor sound before I hit the other car. At the time, my sensor volume was set on #3. When I checked, I could barely hear the buzzer from the rear sensors, but could clearly hear the buzzer from the front sensors. Resetting the buzzer volume to #5 has worked a bit, but I still wish the buzzer for the rear was louder.
My parking assist does not work any more. red lights and and one tone front and rear when the car starts, after that I just get red lights going forward and red lights going in reverse. Any way to reset the whole system? I pulled the fuse but that didn't work.
View 3 RepliesI can be driving down the road and "blam", the "check parking assist" comes on my nav screen. This message screen comes on and goes off all the time. It comes on when I am not around anything close. I had the parking assist sensors checked and every thing checked out OK. Could this a an electrical problem? If it becomes irritating, I just turn the parking assist off.
View 3 RepliesI just noticed this morning that both rear parking assist and BSD on my 2015 SFS Limited are not working. Other than the button near the shifter to turn off the audible alarm for parking, I don't recall any other buttons or settings that would turn both systems off. I won't have access to the user manual until later this evening. I did clean off the rear parking sensors but that didn't change anything. Am I missing something?? What's common? Perhaps a fuse?
View 12 RepliesMy parking assist warning system has suddenly stopped working. (2007 LS460) I'm thinking I may have disabled it while pushing some other buttons or doing something else. I changed the distance to farthest but that didn't work. It was working perfectly last week. I did disable the auto down tilt on the steering wheel. Could this have also disable the parking assist?
View 10 RepliesAbout 2 months ago my Touareg was rear-ended. I just got it back from the body shop and am finding little things that are not the same and I am wondering if they just need reprogramming or if these could be a bigger issue (going back to the body shop today)?
1. They replaced the entire liftgate, but the rear wiper is not working even though the washer fluid does.
2. The interior lights are on, even though all doors are shut, when the switch is set to the open door setting.
3. There is no beep when I lock my vehicle with the keyfob, but the lights blink.
4. There are no warning beeps for the parking sensors, even though the dash lights up.
80% of the time my parking sensors are always on, like something is behind the truck. 20% of the time they work just fine.
I replaced all 4 sensors today with ones off ebay and I get the same thing.
Anything else I can try before I have to take it to the dealer?
The originals and my new ones all clicked when I put my ear up to them.
Everything was working fine until I started messing with camera settings in the service menu today . Now when I shift into reverse, it says "system not ready". Will not let me parallel park or reverse park now. I tried to reset the settings but maybe I don't know how to "save" settings.
View 5 RepliesMy work truck that I drive, a 2006 F-150 Lariat 4x4 extended cab, rear parking sensors quit working. The button on the dash is lit up all the time like when you shut it off. I posted this on the F-150 section too and was able to find a suggestion that you can listen to each sensor while in reverse and if you don't hear a clicking at the sensor it has failed. All (4) sensors are clicking away while in reverse so not sure what else to check, no one in the F150 section, so that is why I put it here.

View 1 RepliesI bought my Prius in November 2010. I replaced my headlights about three months ago when the right one went out. It went out again a few days ago. Then suddenly the diver side went out 2 days later. I also noticed that the right side parking light is out. The only lights that work are the high beams. I did check the fuses.

My tail lights parking lights and dash board lights stop working my turning signals work my brake lights work and my headlights work fine I checked all fuses are good I even switched out the headlight switch with a new one and nothing. What can this problem be?

View 5 RepliesI've been seeking opportunities to try out the parking assist features in our 2016 Prius Four Touring, as it is rather weird to have a car steer itself and it's a little tricky figuring out what to pay attention to. The parallel parking assist works quite well.
To engage the back-in parking assist, you're supposed to line up your car correctly--in a T across the back of the vacant space--and push the parking assist button twice. The first puts it into parallel parking mode, the second into back-in parking mode if available.
My wife has a 2012 ES-350 with the Parking Assist feature but NO NAVIGATION. You have to get within about 2-3 feet of an object before the warning (visual and audible) detects an object in front or the year of the car. Can the "Sensitivity" be adjusted up so it will recognize a danger long before 2-3 feet ? My LS-460 has a Sensitivity Setting in The GPS settings but since her car does not have GPS, I don't know how to adjust the sensitivity to give her more warning of getting too close to another car or object. How to do this ?
View 11 RepliesHow to install the Toyota Intuitive Parking Assist system in a US 2015 Camry XLE? Apparently, this system is sold with the 2015 Camrys elsewhere (I checked in TIS, and it is included in the 2015 Camry service manual), but not in the US.
I would dearly love to have this system in my car, because I find it difficult to judge how close I am in front to another car or other obstacle.
Where the parking assist sensor is in the front. I placed my license plate too far on the left I am assuming and the sensor is going off. For now I have just turned off the PA until after work. (is the PA a small visible circle?).

View 1 RepliesLast week my keyless entry stopped working. The key-fob buttons still work but not the push buttons or open signal on any of the doors. Took car in for tire change yesterday and to check this problem. Dealer has checked all the modules, including power and found no problems. They are now working with VW tech support to see what to check next.
