So the dealer replaced my homelink buttons for the delaminating. The light that lights up when you press the button is not present in the cutout. Rather than drag the truck all the way back to the dealer, I was hoping to pop the cover off and reposition it myself.
View 5 RepliesEver notice that the Homelink won't work unless the car is turned on? Not very useful for putting the garage door up and down as you don't want the car running BEFORE you put the door up. I had two other cars with Homelink and both worked at all times. If VW can make the radio work all the time they could certainly do the same with the Homelink controls.

I've taken the three bolts out of the middle, the ones with the black clips on them, but don't know where to go from here. I'm assuming I'll also have to disconnect the brake light, correct?
It seemed there were screws or even glue maybe holding the deck in place close to the seatbacks - is this true? I didn't want to pull to hard on it in case it broke.
Is there any other way to access the amp without removing the deck lid? My rear right mid speaker isn't working so I'm trying to determine why
Installed an aftermarket stereo but having problems with the steering wheel controls adapter I purchased and need to remove the radio to access the settings on the adapter. The kit I used to install the radio states that once the radio is snapped in place with the kit, the dash bezel must be removed to access the radio. I googled and I cannot find instructions on how this piece come off.

What is the procedure for removing the plastic clips, rivets or whatever they are and also how do you reinstall them? This is a hair brained design if I ever saw one!
View 14 RepliesI put in keyless start about a year ago (best mod ever) and about three weeks my keyless access stopped working. Keyless start works fine. Supposedly I need something called a Kessey module. Is there any chance the two are related? Is the Kessey module the thing you put the extra wires into for the keyless start or is it an entirely separate module?
View 16 RepliesI got in my truck yesterday morning and as soon as I turn the key, the volume starting increasing to as loud as it would go, as I attempted to turn it down, it fights me and turns up. The only way to stop the madness is to turn off the radio all together. I then noticed that I was unable to access my MFI from the steering column and the Volume buttons do not work there as well.
If I cycle power on the stereo a few times the volume increase will stop......until I touch any setting on the stereo, then the gremlins take over once again.

I try to lock the treg with the button on drivers door handle and nothing happens. All other door buttons work fine. Am I in for a new door handle or just another software quirk?

View 1 RepliesPicked up my new T-Reg yesterday. V8, PPS, Winter, Park Assist, Rear Lock. White w/teak. Newer vehicle, VIN# 51XXX. You'll see the Conti's are gone now in favor of Pirelli Scorpion's. So far so good on the problems. I've discovered that HomeLink buttons 1 and 2 stick and won't come out after pressing and the carpeted cover beneath the driver's seat won't stay snapped shut - you can see a little crack.

View 1 RepliesBefore some days I couldn't open sometimes the doors with the keyless access. I have to try two or three times till the key to be recocnized. I changed the batteries but the problem still remains. Now I cannot even start the engine I receive the message "Key Not Found" ... This could be a faulty antenna or the Kessy Module?

View 3 RepliesDriver side power window buttons area is peeling like mad! I noticed its just a plate with plastic and some cheap peel off stuff that is attached to it. Is there a aluminum or wood trip kit to add to those areas. Passenger side is not so bad. My car is otherwise looking like the day i bought it one year ago. [IMG][/IMG]
View 1 RepliesRarely does my key ever lock or unlock the doors by pressing their respective buttons and if it does, I have to be within three feet of the vehicle!
The car always unlocks when I pull on the door handle with the key in my hand (or pocket). And now, the little black button on the door handle is deciding to be picky. That is the only annoyance I have with my Treg now.

View 2 RepliesI am installing a dvd player in the glovebox and need to screw it to the bottom of the glovebox shelf... would be much easier if I could remove the shelf to screw to it. I thought I remember seeing a how to in here somewhere, but whenever I want to find something the search page seems to hide it from me!
