Touareg :: Headlight Cutting Off And Then Coming Back On?

View 4 RepliesI have a 2008 Prius and have been having problems with the a/c blower just cutting out randomly and then coming back on equally as randomly. I can hear the relay click when I turn the fan on and off, but nothing coming out of the vents.
View 2 RepliesMy passenger headlight intermittently goes out then goes back on. Usually when I accelerate. I have had them replace the entire headlight under warranty but to no avail. Is this just a connection problem or is there a TSB for it?
View 7 RepliesI've got an 04 V8 and the headlight washer cover on the drivers side keeps coming off, I've lost three of them now. My dealer doesn't have an answer for me
View 4 RepliesA question - in my new 05, I have noticed this week an occasional light warning that would come on. It only happens every now and then. Noticed yesterday AM that its the drivers headlight.
Again, I think I saw something on a previous post about a service notice on this?? Starting to make my list for my first warranty trip to sort out a few miss the previous owner did not handle.
There seems to be a humming noise coming from the back of the treg. It sounds like someone is tapping on a 10 gallon plastic bucket. This only happens when I'm doing 80 MPH. Yes, I know I'm breaking the the law. Still it's annoying. I have the radio off, I have mud and snow tire. Roof racks are on, both at the rear of the treg.
View 21 RepliesThere is non-stop rattling coming from the rear passenger side, near the seat belt return opening, it seems. It has rattled since I got it, but since it'll be a bit before I take it in for service, I thought I'd ask in case there was a TSB for this.
View 23 RepliesWe have a 2007 Santa Fe with 78,000 miles.
It's recently developed an issue where it has cut off on two different occasions within the past 2 weeks.
My wife said both times happened as she was slowing down and it felt like she was losing power. The vehicle cut off and then cranked right back up.
I've taken it to my personal mechanic as well as the dealership for diagnostic tests and neither were able to replicate the issue or find the problem.
My headlight has been flickering and cutting off and on for over a year now. If the light is off and I then turn the truck off and then back on, the light will work. My dealer is telling me the HID is on its way out rather than referring to the TSB and taking care of the truck under warranty. Therefore I am wondering if this sounds right for a truck that's being used everyday for over the past year.
View 8 RepliesI got the ivic system installed in my car today and I am pleased thus far with the little bit that I have played with it. The only problem that I have is my back up camera is not cutting on. Why?
View 2 RepliesI'm having the absolute worst time trying to fix my wife's 09 accent. We bought the car in '12 with 45k miles on it, and just hit 109k last month. About a year ago, the car started misfiring badly (hot day, after reaching operating temperature) followed by the CEL coming on, and a cylinder cutting out. I (mistakenly) figured coils, and replaced them. This "fix" didn't last more than a couple months.
I've also replaced the intake manifold gasket, suspecting a vacuum issue, due to the symptoms. While doing that, I put in a new PCV valve. To no avail, as the car still misses, chugs and shudders while accelerating at operating temperature. I've disconnected/checked the sensors on the manifold, the 02 sensors, the evap purge solenoid...I absolutely can not wrap my head around this.
The weird part is that the car starts fine when cold, (with only a split-second hesitation if you goose the throttle) and will run great for about 10 minutes/until it warms up. Then, once it warms up it will jerk, shudder and not accelerate at all unless you knife the gas. After letting off the gas, it goes right back to "misfiring" and the light comes back on. I can shut the car off, restart it, and it will run fine until the accelerator is pressed.
2006 GS 430 with 97,000 miles on the ticker. Still under CPO warranty for another 3000 miles. Tonight when I got home from work I noticed that my driver side headlight was out. When I came back out later tonight, it is now back on. Is this typical for a bulb that's about to go out? The reason I'm concerned is because if it's just a worn out bulb, then it's not covered under CPO and I'll replace it. If it's something electrical though, that would be covered under CPO if the dealership can identify the problem. I didn't get any kind of warning on the dash. Is there not an indicator on the dash when a headlight bulb goes out?
View 14 RepliesPassenger side headlight doesn't flicker or anything unusual but it just goes dead at one time then goes back on. For sure, something loose inside that does it. Bulb is still good.
View 8 RepliesA few weeks back I started noticing the driver's side headlight would go out when I started up the car after work. If I drove it around & restarted about 10 mins later, the headlight would come back on, got sick of that after a week so I replaced the bulb and the same thing happens. It happens only when I leave work, any other time it's fine, even went on vacation for a week w/out any probs. The only thing I can think of is the heat from sitting out on the parking lot all day does something, what might be going on?
View 5 RepliesIt appears that my drivers side low beam on my 08 prius shuts off from time to time. It seems to be during the rain, or damp weather. how can i figure out where the break in the wire is, if it is not clearly visible, OR is there a common site that separates in this model.
View 19 RepliesI collapsed the rear seats this morning, loaded the Treg up with stuff (nothing too heavy) and drove 200 miles. Got home, unloaded stuff and then tried to put the seats back up. The center seat belt is integrated into the passenger side 60% folding seat. But for some reason it's now "locked" as the belts do when the car is in an accident.
Since the belt is tight as it is in the lowered position, it will not allow me to lift up the back portion of the seat. After looking at it in the somewhat narrow view I have from between the floor and the lowered back rest, I can see that when I try to lift the back rest, the belt needs to slack some to allow the seat back to go all the way up. But since it catches, it only allow the seat back to raise about 6" before it's too tight to raise the seat back anymore.
I looked at the mounting bolts for the bottom portion of the belt in the space I can see and I see a 12 point star pattern bolt (not sure of proper name). With my Passat, I was able to find a suitable allen wrench that fits in the 12 point star pattern bolt that controls the back door catch for adjustment purposes. But with this one, I tried both metric and SAE and neither has a close enough match.
The belt locking mechanism allows for about 1" of belt travel before it locks. I've jiggled with the belt trying to get the mechanism to unlock so I don't have to remove the belt anchor point on the floor of the car (which I don't have the right wrench for). Anything I can do with the belt? Or do I just go after getting the right wrench and undoing the anchor to allow more belt slack to reset the belt?
I just bought a brand new Touareg last week, after all my joyriding it now has a whopping 450 miles on it. The headlight went out tonight...
View 6 RepliesI need o pull the headlight switch on my T-Reg. Pushed in and turned to the left and pulled but it won't come out. Is this the correct method?
View 1 RepliesThis is common on priuses with hid headlights. The passenger light will randomly go out and will come back on if you turn the switch off and back on. Sometimes it'll go a while before it does it or other times 2 miles down the road you just never know. I called a Toyota dealer and he said it was probably the bulb itself and of course wanted 200 bucks to change it, but I'm not convinced that is it. I'm thinking it could be the ballast.
View 5 RepliesMy 2011 sonata here recently start acting up. When driving at night, the headlight with the dash will blink like it jumping back and forth. The the switch is set on auto. Almost as if the sun was coming out then they switch to night. It will do this several times.
View 3 RepliesI can see where there is a 1/4 inch post that if turned will push the assembly out, but i can only get it to come out about 1 inch. Is there something else that has to be released ?
