So today on 2008 v8 Treg my hazard lights just start to randomly flash on my drive into work.
I would get one or two flashes, then another one or two every 1-3 mins.
Every once in awhile when I'm on the freeway, the hazard lights will flash and the doors will lock and unlock for about 3 seconds then stop.
The car is running normally other than this, except that the doors have stopped locking with the fob or the key itself. It is a 2001 2.0L L4 SOHC 8V.
I have a 99 contour svt and every once in a while the hazard lights will flash even while I'm driving.

I've checked the dash switch, did a quick clean with electrical contact cleaner, that's working fine.
So, my wife tells me that the interior lights have been flashing on. When she accelerates from a stop that blink on for a second. I figure she has not shut a door well but it appears that she has. I have not had a chance to check the doors.
View 2 RepliesMy passat wont start. The engine doesn't do anything, no click, revs, nada. But the hazard lights come on for some reason. The cd player and everything else has power. I am thinking this is an anti theft issue. I recently disconnected the battery and the car no longer reads the remote. I have tried manually locking and unlocking the door, but it wont start.

View 2 RepliesWhen I exit and lock, the window sill red lights flash for a while and then stop. I seem to recall they previously flashed continuously until car was unlocked. Now, the only flashing red light that continues is the tiny pair on the nav radio.
View 10 RepliesSo, I'm driving back from the beach currently (typing this on the side of the road). All appears to be fine with the car. Then all of the sudden, the hazards start blinking and I can't turn them off. I pull over (currently), get out to walk around, see nothing wrong. Not running hot, not anything whatsoever. Sit a couple of minutes, and they go off by themselves.
I've been cruising for the past 3 hours, no problems. No warning lights on the dash.
When lock button on the remote is pressed twice and held for 3rd time , lights flash but car won't start. I just put fresh battery in remote Haven't used remote start since last winter..
View 1 RepliesI just installed the Hyundai factory Remote Engine Start in my 2011 Elantra GLS and have a problem that the hazard lights come on and stay on when unlocking/unarming the car. To repeat, this is the genuine Hyundai Accessory Remote Start/Security kit (3X056 ADU00), not a third party offering. Everything that the kit is supposed to do, WORKS as specified, including remote start. The only problem is that when I use the key fob to unlock/disarm the system, the emergency flashers/hazard lights come on and stay on until I turn them off from the inside or until I toggle lock/unlock for the key fob a few times.
I've been through the wiring a dozen times, and am absolutely certain that the kit is wired correctly -- again all features work. Now, I find it interesting that NONE of the wiring of the kit (based on the schematic) comes close to touching a circuit that is identified as hazard/flashers! I even temporarily disconnected all four leads from the kit that go to the front headlamp circuits and rear tail lamp circuits -- and the hazards STILL CAME on when unlocking. This is telling me that there is an indirect/unintended "connection" between the kit and the triggering of the hazard circuit.
The kit is clearly the correct one for the car, and the car has the right equipment for the kit (i.e. No Smart Key, has auto transmission, power windows, power locks, etc). Why the hazard lamps come on when I click the keyfob to unlock the car?
All the service lights will blink and flash whilst driving. After turning the car off and restarting the radio and clock all reset and the dash lights are gone. The car starts right up with no problem. I checked fuses and none are blown. What may be causing this? It is a 2009 Santa Fe 2.7. It has approx. 95,000 miles. The battery is a couple of years old.

View 3 RepliesI have had an ongoing issue with my 2010 Santa Fe Limited with the battery randomly being drawn down and would not start the vehicle.
I saw a post somewhere on the internet to remove the Negative connection on the fender and grind it down to the bare metal so that it has a good ground connection.
I have done that last week, but last night before turning in for the night i looked out the window and saw lights in my driveway. I went out to investigate and found that the Santa Fe's turn signal/hazard lights were all on front and back and not flashing.
I got in the vehicle and turned the lights on and off with no keys and they all went out.
I got the schematics for the Santa Fe and i believe it could be the Hazard relay that seems to be located inside the I/P Junction box or could be the Hazard Relay Control in the BCM.
I have a 2014 Elantra, today it would not start, only loud clicking noise and lights flash. I moved gear shift to neutral same results, moved back into park same results. Do not think its a battery issue.
View 11 RepliesI own a 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx LT and up until recently the remote start worked great. However starting last week when I go to use it all I get is a quick flash of the brake lights and it wont start. The only thing that happened last week was I had the hood up to check the oil.

When I put the key in the battery and brake light come on and when I try to start it there's a clicking sound from the passenger side and before the lights on the dash would flash but it has just been doing the clicking sound lately. Any guesses on what the problem may be?
View 13 RepliesMy lights inside (not the dome lights but the dash, and speedo/tach lights) sometimes turn off randomly when driving, or sometimes don't even come on when i turn the switch. they eventually come on, or come back on after going out.
Also the display (that tells mpg avg. and what not) turned off yesterday too and hasn't come back on. that always stays on even when the other lights go out, but for some reason it shut off and has yet to return.
My passenger side front signal light works properly, but when I turn my hazard lights on it will not blink normally (the other 3 blink). Inside my truck when looking at my dash I see the small green blinking arrow for the left signal, but not for the right when the hazards are on. When using the signal normally, I see the small blinking green arrow for the right signal though.

I've got a 2001 f150 supercrew 4x4 with the 4.6. I plugged in trailer lights and now I have no brake, turn signal, or hazard lights. I've checked fuses and none are blown.
View 8 RepliesI have a 2013 6.7l super duty Lariat. I want to install flashing LED lights to work in conjunction with the hazard lights. The leds have their own controller and will be separate from any other lights/wiring. What I need is some way to trigger a relay to turn on the led's. Was hoping to tap into the hot lead off the hazard switch itself but that's not an option!
