When shutting down/removing the key all doors unlock (not just the driver side - which is the norm in the CC and other previous VWs). Selecting "Drivers Only" via settings only changes the key fob operation. Same for others?
View 1 RepliesHaving issues with the rear tailgate door unlocking. Seems like mine on occasion is only making a noise but not unlocking completely and showing the door ajar light with the beep. When it happens, its a pain to get it to stop and close completely, or even open. I have to push hard on the door to get it to stop.

View 9 RepliesI just recently noticed that when I come to my car and on my key fob, i press the unlock button only once, the only door it unlocks is the drivers door, the other 3 remain locked. Only when double clicking the unlock button does it unlock all 4 doors. Is this how its suppose to work?
View 4 RepliesI have a new to me 2010 Prius. What I'm trying to do (I did it with my 2008 Prius) is to be able to unlock any door from the outside as long as I have my fob in my pocket. I've tried following the directions in the manual but to no avail. I've tried holding lock and unlock on the fob simultaneously for 5 seconds, all doors open shows up on the control panel, but when I approach any door except the drivers door, nothing happens.
View 19 RepliesMy rear right door wont unlock with the key-fob. When you click unlock you will see the lock "twitch" but not open. In order to unlock it you must manually re lock the doors and unlock via the buttons on the driver or passenger side.

View 3 RepliesI have a strange problem with my front left (driver door) doorlock. I've changed the speaker, so i hade to remove the door panel. When I try to reassemble the door panel and the door lock I have some problems. I get everything in place, but the problem is that the door lock gets jammed. When I only close the door (not locking the door) I can open the door. But when I lock the door, then unlock it, I don't manage to open the door. I then have to fast pull the outside two times real hard, and then the door opens. I have discovered the problem. The door seems fine when I remove this cable: But if I remove the cable, I can't open the door from the outside.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2005 GLI which seems to have an issue with intermittent door locks. Sometimes when I press the unlock/lock button they will unlock/lock, other times they won't. It also seems to be random as to which doors will unlock/lock. Opening them from inside works just fine.
The dealer said that the door lock control modules probably need to be replaced. I remember seeing a while back that there was a way to fix these as the problem really was some solder within the control module.
Is there anything I can do to have the rear doors unlock using the keyless entry function? I can only unlock the driver door as of now. Once that is open, I still need to use the unlock button on the keyfolb to unlock the rear door.
The keyless entry function does lock the doors when the small black button is pushed on the rear doors?
My F started to do this a couple of months ago. It will not unlock the driver side door with either from the handle (while key in your pockets) or with the key fob (when pressing the button). If i go to the passenger side and place my hand on the handle it will unlock the doors except the driver. Is there any remedy to this? Does it have to do with the Actuator?
View 2 RepliesThe fob of my 2006 prius stopped unlocking the driver's door, it does unlock, however, all other doors. Also when locking the car all doors lock no problem, so the weird thing is the "unlocking of the driver door" that doesn't work unless I use the little key inside the fob. I already changed the battery in the fob and it is still doing the same thing.
View 5 RepliesI'm slowly reading through the ES-350 manual, picking and choosing parts to read. There are several 'Personalized Preferences' that I've noted down and will have addressed at my 1st month service.
I noticed on pg. 21 of the manual that there are settings to set and cancel the door-locking/unlocking functions. These functions are also mentioned in the 'Personalized Preferences' section, so there is overlap here (on paper anyways).
Anyways I tried a couple of times to follow the instructions on pg. 21 to disable the door locking and unlocking when the car is placed in Park and Neutral.
It didn't work for me. The instructions aren't all that clear to me, nor of what they are supposed to accomplish. I'd like to not have the doors lock when I place the shift out of Park and not have the doors unlock when I place the shift into Park.
I have a 2005 V8 and in getting my latest service, a bunch of recalls were completed on the vehicle which seemed to screw up the locking/unlocking of the doors. In the past, the doors unlocked without having to hit any of the buttons on the key fob, but now, I get a 'chirp' from the car when I lock it, and have to click the unlock button once for the front doors and twice for the back doors. Is there anyway to revert back to the old way where just having the key close to the door unlocked it?
View 3 RepliesJust a few days ago I have been experiencing the following issues;
- Unlocking the door through the handle caused the vehicle to flash the emergency lights, both exterior and interior lights pulse, 4 times.
- The tachometer blacks out and stays blacked out for the duration of the trip. Resetting it (Turning off the car, turning off the radio) didn't work.
- Replacing the key fob battery didn't work.
I did schedule for my car to be serviced, but anything I can do to fix it now would be great.
My drivers door won't unlock and lock sometimes. It goes off and on. And it's starting to do it more often. Sometimes the beep won't make a sound too when I lock it. Only locks with manually putting the key in. I've tried to use my other key but it didn't work.
View 6 RepliesI just purchased a 2012 Prius. I tried to program the all doors are unlocked when the driver's door is opened within 10 seconds after turning the Power switch off. On page 89 of the user manual, it explained how to do it but me and my dealer could get it to work.
View 7 RepliesThe SKS on my 2010 Prius V used to open all doors when I grabbed the door handle but now it only opens the driver's door. I remember seeing somewhere in this forum that this is one of the few driver customizable options (unless it is for Gen II only) and I should be able to make the change on my own.
View 3 RepliesMost times I try and open the drivers door I have to use the unlock switch to open it. There are times when it opens w/o having to do so.
