Defroster/heater fans quit without warning. Heat continues to flow from vents but volume not enough to keep windows defrosted. All fuses fine.

I have a 1990 Mercedes 190E with kind of low miles for its age. Nice car, runs well. The problem is that the blower for the AC, heater, and defroster won't go on when it's cold or wet outside. Sometimes while I'm driving it will suddenly turn on. Sometimes if I restart the car it will go on; sometimes stays on, sometimes goes off after a bit. When it's dry and/or warm outside - no problem; on whenever I want, stays on, no problems. I have checked and replaced the fuses and I have had it at three different repair shops and they all insisted that it was the center console control that was causing the problem and now I have that whole unit replaced and it has not fixed the problem no matter what I tell the mechanic. My Wife has a 1984 and I have a 1985 Toyota Pickup, 2wd, 22R engine, same dash and almost same everything. There are 4 settings on the selector switch (horizontal lever switch moving from left-to-right) for the blower fan: "Off", "Low", "Med" & "High". In both trucks, the "Low" setting for the BLOWER FANS quit working, but the other settings still work fine and amount heat-output is fine(so this is a FAN problem and not a "heating" problem).
Is the problem in the switch itself?, or in the blower fan resistor?, or in the blower fan motor? From what I've read elsewhere, it seems to be a blower fan Resister problem that is most likely. If that is the case, where exactly should I be looking for it and will I need to remove the dashboard? And what does it look like? I've seen a small black object about 1"x 1.75"x 1.75" and it has an Amperage listing on it and it's next to a Relay that seems to be related to the heater. I'm guessing that thing is not the resister if it's labeled "Amperage", I would think it should have an "Ohms" symbol or word or rating on it if it were the resistor, or is that really "it".
Suzuki - Swift :: Defroster And Heater On - White Vapor Smoke Comes From Vents
I have a 1996 Suzuki Swift. My defroster stopped working several weeks ago.
If I have the defroster and heater on at the same time, white vapor smoke comes from my vents. My heater works fine when I choose the vent option for it to blow directly on me but I can see and smell light blue smoke if I change the vent option to blow on my feet.
In addition a thin white film covers my windows while I'm driving whether I have the heater on or not (and there's a slight oil smell in the car if the heater is on - I do have an oil leak). The thin white film can be wiped from the windows easily at first but becomes more difficult to wipe after 30 minutes or so of driving. Once I turn the car off, the film disappears within 6-8 hours.
Passat (B5) :: AC / Heater Temp / Fans Knob Went Out
I have a 99 B5 and the lights for the Heater Temp Knob, the AC/ heater Fan Knob and the blower direction knob are all out. The fuses are OK. I have checked that.

The heater fan quits working on colder days. It is not the fan motor, as twice after it has quit, several days later the fan began working again. As controls are switched, the indicators light and mode shifting sounds can be heard. It seems to be that the fan quits on the colder days (<38 deg) the will resume working again when the outside temperature exceeds 50 degrees.

When I start the T-Reg for the first time, shouldn't the fans blow out hard and then die down when the proper temperature is achieved? For the past 2 days, I'v pulled out of the garage and I can hear the fan noise blowing hard but there's nothing coming out of the AC vents. I keep the setting on Auto 72 deg. Once I fool around with the fan settings, then the AC comes on and stays on for the rest of the day.
I remember the fans came on strong when I had the Jetta and then in two or three minutes, they regulated the temp and died down a bit. Does it take a long time for the fans to come up on Auto, or is something not right?
Within 5 minutes it seems to work and they're cool, but until it starts working, I hear the fan noise but feel nothing. I have the vents opened fully, or should they be set in the middle?
Touareg :: 2004 V6 - Cooling Fans Always On
I own a 2004 V6 Touareg as I have been going to the dealership for the last three months now and they cant solve the problem.
Once I start my car in the morning, immediately both cooling fans start running and they wont stop until I shut down the car, it takes them about 10 min to shut down.

I have an 03 Ram 1500 that quit blowing hot air. I have heard of doors not opening to divert the air to the heater core. Heater hoses are both hot, so I'm pretty sure the water is going where it's supposed to, just not the air.

I have a V8 engine, and I have been getting the coolant overheating warning come on once in a while.
The engine fans go crazy, and the temperature needle on the small round gauge climbs all the way to red then the coolant overheating warning comes on in dash screen.
This can happen right after I turn the car on, or on occasion, it can happen as I am driving around the city.
I stop, switch the car off, and I turn it back on after a minute, and the car is just fine. So, basically, it doesn't seem like the engine coolant is actually overheating, but the fans and warning systems seem to think that they are. The fans are pretty loud, and its noticeable when they go on, and when this happens, I know that the needle will go all the way up and the warning will go off. I also know that if I turn the car off for a minute, and it will be just fine.
The conditions are random for when this happens. So its not when its particularly hot or cold or anything predictable. Could this just be a sticky thermostat? Is it a bad water pump? Bad battery?
The trouble is that now I am afraid I cant take a real drive. Around the city I can just pull over, but I am afraid to take the car two hours out or something.
Heating :: 2008 Chrysler Heater Quit Supplying Hot Air
I have a 2008 Chrysler Sebring Touring (Convertible). Recently, out of the blue, the heater quit supplying hot air. I took it to my local mechanic who
1) replaced the thermostat and
2) replaced the blend air door motor.
After 4 days I was told it was fixed. Now it blows only "warmish" air on the driver's side and cold air on the passenger's side.
Tiguan :: 2010 - Heater Fan Quit Working Suddenly
2010 full load Tiguan- perfect this a.m., but wife went to drive home & no blower fan. The dial lights up and moves as dial turned, but no fan at all.
Checked the fuses under dash, nothing burnt out. What am I missing??

I have a 2007 Saturn Relay with heated seats. One of the seat heaters has quit working and now the other one gets super hot after it is turned on for a while. What is causing the seat to get super hot? I don't want to burn up anything.
