What is the cause, and when I bring my Touareg in for it's 15000 mile service...what should I expect them to do to rectify the problem?

View 11 RepliesI am the proud owner of a 2004 Touareg-V8 with everything but 4C. I love it...but have the usual condensation problem and shimmy at 60 mph plus....
View 12 RepliesJust noticed a considerable amount of condensation on the lenses of both fog lamps. Since I rarely, if ever use them, I'm wondering if this will be a problem over a period of time. Does this indicate a flaw that I should address with my dealer?
View 15 RepliesI've noticed that often in the morning, my Touareg has condensation forming on the inside of the front winshield. I don't drive the vehicle daily. I have looked for a moisture source inside of the vehicle but it is bone dry.
View 3 RepliesLooking for a solution to the windshield condensation problem found in humid states. I took my Touareg in for the TSB but it has not worked much.
View 9 RepliesAbout a month ago, I traded my 04 V6 for an 07 V6. Everything was fine except that this morning I turned on the A/C for the first time (had been in Econ) and what happens? Condensation on the lower portion of the windshield just like in the 04.
View 3 RepliesI went through a flood three weeks ago.
Since then my fog lights have been full of condensation. Is there a way to sort this out?
I have only 3 days with my new Treg and I cannot make the A/C to stop blowing cool air off the upper vent into the windshield. So the cold air makes condensate water on the outside and I have to use the wipers to wipre it out, appearing again in few seconds. The A/C settings are either AUTO at 70F or manual and making sure the air is directed to the front.
View 18 RepliesSo I've been using the rear window spray a lot since it's been snowing and the salty water/snow/air has covered the rear window a lot and I've been notice water dripping into the rear when I open the hatch but previously thought it was just some snow that melted in/around the hatch area and was dripping. Today I noticed both tail lights that are on the hatch have condensation in them. When I popped the plastic covering on the hatch that you use to replace the bulbs, I noticed there was the blue spray fluid. So I removed the two tail light and I can't seem to figure out how to get the bit of water out of the white and red parts. Do the lens come off any way? I now realize the leaky rear spray thing is a common issue and just ordered the two stupid 50 cent pieces that costs 31 with shipping from ECS
View 2 RepliesAt 4800 miles I noticed condensation, moisture, or water in my tail lights assembly , I took it in for my first check up, provided pictures, the engineers at lexus said this was normal. I said mosture causes corrosion, may cause a short becauce water is a conductive element, and when it dries it will leave contaminates on the inside of the lights, they said all cars have this issue. I explained the my last 8 cars did not have this issue and I have put aftermarket headlights and tail lights on 2 my cars and they did not have this issue. Well the coversation didn't go well, I said if its so common how come its not in the manual, or a disclaimer on the car, what if I told buyers on your lot this was a common issue. I closed with letting them know it was time to let this be known. I also said just like the headlight issue's they will have to do something. The next day they called me and said they would change out the lights this one time. I am sure this not the last time this issue will be seen, the engineering at lexus is just too proud and hate to admit when they have a bad designed until law suits or deaths happen.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2000 grand prix. The headlight s & tailights are constantly full of condensation. How can I remove the condensation & prevent it from reoccurring? I already replaced one of the tailights & same problem. My moms equinox has same issue. I've heard using hair dryer to dry lights out. Is that safe?
View 3 RepliesI have water in my Jetta's tail lights and its really annoying. I just had them both out on the weekend and checked out the foam gaskets and they were both fine but i replaced them with an older pair I had that looked in even better shape but basically the same condition...
Rained pretty hard last night and now there is like more water in them then before... I made sure I tightened them down good because they were not that tight when I originally took them off.
There is water condensation in my spare tire well and making my carpet wet and starting to fog up my rear windows..
Touareg's reverse lights seem a little dim? I was out in the 'burbs for turkey day and as I was backing out of a driveway to go home this evening I had a tough time with visibility. Granted it was raining a little and I'm used to backing in the city where there is always illumination from street lights, signage, other cars, etc, but it seemed to me that my previous Mercedes had a reverse light that was a lot brighter. And yes, both bulbs were working. to replace the OEM reverse lights with brighter ones?
View 1 RepliesI noticed last night that the Reg they gave us to drive has lights above the floor mats. They never turn off, is this normal. Also the rear head rest seem to be up about 2" higher than the seat. Even if you push the button on the bottom they do not go down any further. So when you look in the rearview all you see is 3 headrest. I caught that middle one out of the corner of my eye and thought i had a passenger with me!
The button on the center console next to the air ride says Lock under the picture of the t reg, it also has up arrow. what does that do? I pushed it a few times and nothing happened. I went to look it up but there is no owner's manual
The other day I got yellow check lights warning on the MFI, so I went out and looked at all of my lights and then the inside lights but everything was fine. On the second time I got the warning, I found out that my front right fog light housing had quite a bit of moisture inside but all the lights still worked fine including that fog light.
I took it to the dealer and the tech tells me it is normal. He added that any of the front lights could get moisture inside but after a half hour on, the moisture should go away.
I never got the warning since. But the moisture still appears and never completly goes away and that fog light is the only one out of all the lights that get's moisture inside. I know about the TSB for the top light housing with moisture, but this is the fog light and only that specific one. I have never had any other housing with a single bubble of moisture!!Is this normal?

I recently went camping and had the back lid up... and the light on the lower portion would not go out for an extended period of time...( at least 15 minutes long ) then if I opened a door I would have to wait again... the same with the interior lights of the storage area... any way to change the duration for this? had to finally use duct tape over the lights...
When I have it set to comfort, it will adjust up and down at just about every other redlight. Also when I get out sometimes the front will go down. Not leaking or anything there is a electro-mecanical type noise heard and both sides of the front go down the same amount. Is this normal?
View 8 RepliesI just bought an 07 Touareg V6 today and it did not come with a user manual. How do i turn on the fog lights? It has them and i see the icon for them on the light knob, but i can't get them on.
View 6 RepliesYou can turn parking lights on on left or right side via the turn signal feature. I can't see a way to turn all parking lights on. What am I missing?
View 4 RepliesAuto Lights come on when it is a sunny day. Sometimes do not come on at dusk, when most other cars with auto lights have them on .

Went out to my car at lunch today and the "Check Brake Lights" warning came on. I checked the lights and my top center brake light is out. No fuses are burned out.
