What is the VAG-COM code for changing the blinker so that it would blink 4 times instead of 3 when you just tap it. I tried searching for it and can't find it in the archives. What the code is, or where the message it?

View 14 Replies02 Hyundai Elantra I'm having issues with the lights for some reason or another when I turn the headlights on the blinker don't blink it stays on constant and when there off it blinks but it looks like the flashers are Going off but the left turn signal works with no issues. The dash lights blink to when the right turn signal is on.

View 1 RepliesOk, I admit this isn't on a Ford, it's my old man's 1970 AMX, but it's an odd electrical problem we can't figure out. The front right blinker works fine when the headlights are OFF but when the headlights are on it doesn't blink. The other three work as they should. He has tried new bulbs, ohmed and voltage tested the sockets. Ohm reading was around 1-2ohms and voltage was 9v.
The voltage also fluctuated when the blinker was on but when you put a bulb in it didn't blink. He has noted the bulb on the passenger side is brighter than the other side. He's trying to get it ready to take to Pigeon Forge next weekend for a car show and I 4.5 hours away. What could be going on??? Could a bad headlight switch cause this? Bad socket?
No B5 posts since the variant has been running well....'til today, when I noticed irregular turn signal operations. This is for a B5.5, 2002. Occasionally they'd work as they should, but much of the time they'd blink a few times then stay off.
Continues to happen after shutting down the engine and restarting (was wondering if that would reset anything). I recall some sort of relay problem with the turn signals. Does this sound like what's going on?
My 98' 1.8t AEB was having a bad valve tick so i took the valve cover off and noticed the top camshaft had a lobe eaten away pretty bad and it looks like the bearing next to it was spinning I KNOW that its from a lack of lubrication so that means its my oil pump? there was absolutely no sludge or swarf that i could see.
what made me take the valve cover off was a small oil leak and i thought it was the gasket, but my PCV valve slipped out of its sleeve so thats where the oil came from.
also, every time i started my car the oil would come on right away, beep three times, and blink until i shut the car off.
So, i guess i am wondering, do i have deeper problems here or could i replace the cams, bearings and oil pump?
This is on my 1995 Crown Vic. It started after sitting for a day in the hot Al sun with all the windows up. At start-up the light is out. It blinks on and off a few times and then remains on until I turn the car off. My ODBII scanner will not tell me anything about that lamp.

I have a hard time believing that all coil packs went bad. My wife told me that when she was driving the car she could hear a clicking noise coming from the trunk so I think this could the fuel pump not giving enough fuel but I was hoping to get an error for it.
How to make the 2012 Camry SEV6 turn signals do the little 3 blink for changing lanes, llike the newer ones, or the corollas do... Is it impossible???
View 14 RepliesI had been having battery issues with my 97 ford f150 4.6 liter for the longest time, thought i had a short under dash, i pulled entire dash out, disconnecting bat first of course, and inspected all wiring harness connections and fixing my issues and putting it all back together. now with new bat and all put back together i am now getting the airbag light flashing 5 times then 2 times (error code 52) i know it has some thing to do with power failure or backup battery, but now with the new battery in i cant seem to get it to reset. How to do this?
View 3 RepliesSuddenly the blinker in my right exterior mirror has stopped blinking. I had this once before and just as I arrived at my Dealer and switching off the ignition, it suddenly started working again after starting the car again.
This time that didn't work. Everything else works. I hear the flasher 'clicking' and all blinkers, mirror folding and exit lights work.
Is there a fuse I should check (but everything else works) or is this again a glitch that will correct itself. By the way, there is no 'malfunction' indicated in the MFI.
I just tried folding the mirrors and in the folded position the right hand mirror blinked once and then not again. How can I check the bulb/LED in the mirror?
I bought myself a nice brand new Touareg 2011 (7P). I have ordered German accessories in order to activate the amber blinker instead the red and the rear fog light incl. the light switch. But now I'm stuck at the coding in order to activate the functions. Any clue which CU and address I have to change in order to teach the brake light not to blink and the fog light to function?
View 3 RepliesWe ran the side mirror into a tall trash can. I replaced the mirror but need to replace the blinker assembly that is in the bottom of the mirror. I bought it and can't see how to take mirror apart to put it in.
View 3 RepliesI've had my new Touareg for less than a month, and only had one problem so far, my headlights. On 2 separate occasions after parking (daylight, only my DRL was on) and turning off my engine, the first time, the headlamps remained on and the other incident, one blinker light remained on and had "frozen".
I made sure that all the light switches were off (even turning them on and off), made sure the hi beams were off, keys were out of the ignition, even tried turning the engine on and off. Eventually lights turned off after restarting the car the 4 th time.
Now, I wonder with all these "battery drain" concerns? an unchecked headlight/or blinker (during daylight you can miss this, and no warning signals from that the lights are infact on).
I also have a problem with my left blinker and my break lights. My right blinker works just fine, but my left blinker and break lights will not come on unless I pull the blinker switch forward a bit- as if I'm going to turn my brights on.

View 2 RepliesI had a Check Engine Light a couple months ago, and I took the car to the garage to have it checked out. They told me they got a Fuel Pressure Sensor malfunction code, and that the sensor had to be replaced. I did so myself, an it is ridiculously easy, and the car worked fine. I noticed the Check Engine Light blinked a couple of times while I was driving, but never got steady. A couple of days ago, it did. Out of a bad gut-feeling, I purchased a ODBII scanner, and I scanned the car myself. I got the same error code as the garage did, but the sensor should be fine.

My R is acting funny every once in a while it runs perfect then some other times it seems to big and the check engine light starts to blink but doesn't stay on I ran for codes and it said I had a miss fire but after that the code never came up again but it still blinks.
View 7 Replies2001 F150 5.4 Auto ... Truck was running excellent. Engine light and overdrive light begins to blink and it acts like its running out of fuel or water in gas. Baring made it home. Cleared the code and it comes back. Transmission seems fine.
