I recently upgraded from the CD radio to the nav radio and just noticed a problem. My center console speaker (under the windshield) no longer work. All the other speakers work properly.
View 1 RepliesI just bought a (new to me) 2007 RX 350. Love the car. The only problem is that the previous owner had kids and he let them do whatever they wanted inside the car. I got the car detailed and cleaned but I noticed that the centre console doors towards the back don't open and close. When I press the open button it opens ever so slightly and when I press close I can feel that the spring is trying to close the door but nothing happens.

View 6 RepliesI own a 2005 Volkswagon Passat, and took it to my mechanic yesterday to get a sticker and my new summer tires put on. When I picked up the car, the passenger side speaker is no longer working. About a month ago I took my car to a specialist to have an aftermarket radio put in for me that I got for my birthday so I can listen to my iPod. Why my passenger side speaker is not working anymore? Does it have anything to do with what my mechanic might have messed up when putting the new tires on?

Shifting - its at lowest been in the 30's and the truck has issues shifting until its warm. Its wierd, its like the water temp gauge stays at cold, then snaps up and shifting is fine from then on. Takes what I think is a long time to get there, not a gradual temp change, just like click and the gauge is on.
Lots of electrical looking issues, maybe all tied together?
- Shut doors sometimes flashers blink
- Overhead console no longer lights up
- Door ajar and overhead lights on when doors are tight
- more oddities but I can't think of them now
I was wondering about swapping out the short OH console on a 2001 F350 Lariat with the longer one that has two doors for a garage opener etc? Are the clips on the base plate the same? I see the longer console shells on e bay for a little over 100 bucks which seems like a no brainer if it snaps in place of the shorty. Looks like the temp and compass slots are identical.

View 1 RepliesI hear a vibration almost like a blown speaker but it does not happen on all songs. SO this leads me to believe it is something in the door. Also if I put pressure on the door it goes away.

Sometimes goes back on when you hid a bump like there's a poor connection.
After getting my passenger speaker replaced for that gurgly, horrible noise that comes out during deep bass notes. it went away. IT HAS COME BACK NOW TEN FOLD! on both sides of my car, and has been happening every morning! it was very upsetting to come back to after being away for two weeks.

-Audio is my hobby. I hear things that many people don't. One of the things I'm hearing from my Sound System I is a faint buzzing/vibration in many of the speakers. Some of it can only be heard in certain songs (Steely Dan/Jack Of Speed - Great song!), or when playing an audio book. Most of the time, it comes from the woofers, but with audio books (spoken word), I can hear it from midrange/tweeters as well.
-I've had the car at the dealer multiple times for this. They did replace one speaker and claim to have parts in order to fix it. I suspect that the speakers are just vibrating on their mounts, or vibrating something inside the door. I might be able to fix it. How to take the door panels off so the speakers can be accessed?
I'm a new Touraeg owner, a 2004 V6. When I get in it after it's been parked I sometimes hear a weird thump that sounds like a speaker getting a quick jolt. I've heard it a few times.
View 2 RepliesI noticed that when I was driving the other day, the right front passenger lower speaker made this terrible popping/thunder sound. I took the REG in today and the lady told me that there is a faulty speaker and amp, and that they are ordering a new set from Germany. She also told me that one of VW's touareg reps was in town today and she is reporting this problem to him so this will not be future problem with touaregs.
View 5 RepliesSo, I've had the car a couple of months and things just keep getting stranger. I've been through my 2nd Airbag fault and now it's been returned from the dealer and every time I open or close the door the speakers "thump" once. I decided to remove the stereo to be sure it wasn't my IPod causing the problem and with the stereo disconnected the speakers still " thump" once when you lock or unlock the door. It's just a nuisance but I'd like to get it resolved because it will also sit in the garage and randomly thump for no reason. Another new strange occurrence is that the alarm now works, whereas before it was so quiet that it could hardly be heard. I suspect something between the door lock and alarm being the problem but the dealer is clueless. Other weird things like the seat not always moving when you put the key in the ignition , the alarm going off randomly when exiting the car are happening as well.

The only trouble I've had so far is a very low "clicking" coming from the front driver door speaker when the radio is on. Otherwise, I've enjoyed the vehicle a lot.I am also looking to install my IPOD so that I can play it through the radio...
For 2015 we had the ability to use our key fob to start our cars. I did this nearly everyday, doing the 1 press pause 2 press pause 3 press and hold.. this used to work, suddenly it no longer works.
Since this featured was not even featured in our manuals, I doubt I'd find a solution there. Did Lexus zap my car and ability to start it, remote app from phone works fine.
I have a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Recently, I had to replace the fuel pump. Prior to that it had a gasoline smell and sometimes hesitated to start, like air was getting into the fuel lines. After I replaced the fuel pump, it was fine for about a week. Now, it hesitates to start like before I replaced the fuel pump. By this, I am saying that it cranks over (so no starter or battery issues), but takes excessively long to fire up. Once it is running, it runs nice (not rough) and without hesitation on acceleration. I suspect a vacuum leak.
Today, the cruise control no longer works, as in it will not engage when I depress the on/off button on the turn signal lever arm. I suspected a fuse may have blown, but cannot locate a fuse labeled 'cruise control' anywhere on the vehicle.
My 2004 v8 has been in the shop 6 times for the same air conditioning problem. My local VW dealership removed much of the center console and dash at the last visit for no reason. It ended up not being the issue. Now many of the lights do not work. This includes the fog light button, valet, vent control rocker switches, side mirror control, seat heater, transmission gear select, rear heated seat controls and vent control rockers. The lights for the dimmer switch and rear screen do not work as well. Now my tiptronic is not working and things seem to be deteriorating with a ground fault workshop error. I am really worried that they have messed things up. They claim it is because the light switch is bad. They also replaced all of the witches to no avail.
