Touareg :: Car Resets All Programs To Factory Defaults

I've had my T-reg for almost a year with no problems....until now. I recently bought another car with a tire pressure monitoring system. When I park the two cars close together the TPM on my T-reg picks up signals from the other car, gets confused and (apparently) resets all programs (lights, locks...everything) to factory defaults. I took it to the dealer for this problem twice and they are clueless.

Just went stage 1, and it's a nice bump in power - though not as much as a "wow" factor as doing stage 1 in a GTI. Given the lower % of increase due to the higher power to begin with, I suppose that is to be expected. I plan on going 1+ in the future, so look forward to that further bump.
I do have a question for those that have multi-program switching from APR. Every time I switch programs and turn the ignition off and back on again, I get an ESC Fault displaying on the dash, but the car starts. Local shop that did the install said that it isn't abnormal, but given nobody else has mentioned it on here before I thought I'd ask the question. If I leave it in the same program, it doesn't do it the next time I turn the car on - just the first time after switching programs. I don't have a VAGCOM so can't comment on anything that might be happening behind the scenes.
Looking to hear from fellow APR multi-program users - do you get the ESC fault after switching programs the first time you turn on the ignition?

I was unable to find any posts talking about using the radio's line out (non-amplified) signal to send to an aftermarket amp. Any links or info would be great as I plan on performing my install soon and I really want to avoid using a line output converter (on the radio's amplified outputs).

Whenever I hit auto on the climatronic after the car has been off it always defaults to 72 degrees. I'm in South Florida, and I realize it's a little thing, but it'd be great if I could make it default to low right off the bat. Is this something Vag-com could be used to alter? Tried searching for this but couldn't find anything directly related.

I noticed that no matter whether it's on recirc or vent when I shut down the car, our '06 Touring's HVAC will always default to recirc when I turn it on. Is there a way to keep it from doing this? It drives me nuts, because I hate having recirc on.

I noticed when i swap to 4 hi. The AC defaults to defrost. I have read this is a possible vacuum leak. Well after driving for about a mile the AC goes back to vents " while still in 4 hi" does this mean my hubs are sticking and finally engaging? Or still probably have a vacuum leak?

I have ES 350 2016 with navigation. When you start a car, the screen always defaults to navigation mode. You must press HOME button to get home screen. Is there any way to change the default, so it always starts with the home screen ?

My AC always defaults to Recirculation mode the first time I use it after starting the car even though Auto mode is off.
Can I change this to default to fresh air mode?

I know there are two mpg's -- one for short trip and resets itself after the engine being turned off for 2 hours, and the other is kind of long-term mpg and keeps accumulating until being manually reset. Starting from a few weeks ago, the "long-term" mpg started reset itself every time when I turn off the engine. So every time I start the car, the mpg shows "---". It's like the car lost its memory. But other than that, nothing else has the "self-reset" problem, the clock (date and time) is working fine, the mileage (both overall and trip mileage) is recorded correctly.

The ABS is acting up sometimes. It activates when I am not braking, or it resets itself from time to time, or I can hear it making some noise (d d d d d d d d ....) from time to time. And the brake light doesn't come up.

I am having a problem with the stock radio resetting itself after turning off the car.
Just recently had to replace the battery which was not an issue. After the new battery was installed I set the clock, cabin temp, and radio stations. Came back to the car later, turned it on and noticed the radio was off. Hit the power button and it came on with the default stations, volume settings, etc. This happens every time the car is turned off and left for more than a few minutes. What's odd the clock and temperature controls DO keep their settings. It's only the radio that's the problem and resets back to it's defaults.
How to correct this?

My 2006 Prius has strange behavior. Sometimes when I turn it off, (Push Park button, then Power button) it blinks the screen and resets the clock.

So everything in my car has no memory issues but my clock always says 1:00 ... when I start the car....
I have tried another control unit (the climate control, nav screen, etc buttons) where the clock is located to see if I had a bad unit and it still did the same thing.
I have a brand new battery from Lexus and everything else in the car seems to be fine....this was an issue before I bought the new battery.

I usually set my climate control to 78 degrees and leave it on Auto, but whenever I leave the car for more than 5 hours then the climate control somehow resets itself.
The "Auto" light would stay illuminated for about 15 seconds, then it turns off and "Air Conditioner Off" flashes on the Nav screen. Then when I press the "Auto" button again, the climate displays 75 degrees. This has happened everyday for the last 3 weeks or so.

Both tail lights are out. Replaced bulbs, no dice. Checked the fuse, looked ok, replaced it anyway. Noticed that the license plate lights are working.

Had my 2015 GTI for two months now and I've been experiencing so minor issues with my stereo. Sometimes when I start the car it will reset the radio to 87.7FM which is completely static and not an actual radio station does it completely at random. Second issue that I've had is when my Ipod is plugged in it won't allow me to change the song, either from the screen or from the steering wheel. The only way to get it to work again is pulling over and restarting the car.

When I fuel my car the the trip data information resets to zero, keeping track of when I last fueled my car, as it should. The problem is that if often resets back to zero even though I have not fueled my car.

Well this past week I have been getting the ESP light lit in my cluster during my weekly commutes. 1st: My car is a 2005 05 V8 model with 96K miles. The ESP light resets every time when the car is turned off and comes on after driving (varies), no hard CEL triggering with the condition. I notice yesterday that the ESP light comes on faster when I am coming up a hill. Yesterday when I started out on flat ground the light was off most of the trip (about 10 miles), it wasn't until I hit the hill on my way home that it illuminated (the final mile of my trip). One other major symptom, the Cruise Control does not "SET"; Cruise turns on and I see the indicator in the cluster, but when I hit the set function, it doesn't set the speed control. This happens both before and after the ESP light illuminates.
I have a VAD Pro and I ran a scan, both at the halt and on the move, the ESP light does NOT throw out a DTC in the ABS module or any others. However, their is one persistent fault that reoccurs (00526), faulty brake light switch; the Ross Tech site stated this is normal in some Automatic transmissions; if you do not push the brake pedal before the scan. My brake lights work fine & I understand their is two sets of contacts in the switch. Again, this DTC (00526) does not set the CEL. But, I am not ruling out a faulty brake light switch.

I am the happy owner of a white 2005 Santa Fe 2.7l with 105,000 miles on her. Trying to figure out why the dashboard clock resets itself at random.It doesn't do it while I'm in it or driving. Only when I return to it when parked at a store or wherever, or mornings. The car seems to have plenty of juice when running. New alternator and battery were installed last November. Triple-checked those parts and cleaned some connections under the hood.
