I have a base V6 and was wondering if the doors opened by the key fob can be changed. I'd like to open all doors and trunk with one push of the key fob.

Touareg :: Km/h Display Can't Be Changed To Mph?
I thought I would share this with all of you. I had my T2 in for 5K service. I asked again if they could change the digital display of the speed in km/h to mph. I thought there might have been a new computer update. They spent an extra day working on just this issue. The tech even called VW and went to another T2 on the lot to try to reprogram it. No luck. So - it looks like it's official. You can't change the display to MPH on a T2 with the "plain" MFI. I am working on learning the metric system - or just reading the gauge. Still love it!

For some strange reason, my T-reg has set itself to 0.00 psi on all four tires. I went into the program and attempted to have it reset. The tire pressure "off" icon appears at the top of the screen and upon start-up the annunciator states that it is recalibrating. How long does it typically take to recalibrate before you get a psi reading on the tires? Shouldn't it come immediately? It still has not recalulated after 5 miles. Should I have VW service take a look at it or is their a simple adjustment I can make?

I just bought new DS1 8k bulbs to replace my aging 6k bulbs. It was a sinch to install and seemed too good to be true. Well i turn my car on and the check bulbs light came on and low and behold the lights do not turn on. The dealership said it would not matter whether I had 6k before and bought 8k but it seems like this might be the issue.

I have a 2005 V8 and in getting my latest service, a bunch of recalls were completed on the vehicle which seemed to screw up the locking/unlocking of the doors. In the past, the doors unlocked without having to hit any of the buttons on the key fob, but now, I get a 'chirp' from the car when I lock it, and have to click the unlock button once for the front doors and twice for the back doors. Is there anyway to revert back to the old way where just having the key close to the door unlocked it?

I have a problem with my central locking, I changed the battery in the fob but it won't lock the car, if I lock with the key the fob will unlock the car. When I press the lock button there is a clunk-clunk as if the central locking is working and I can hear the noise in the doors and the boot but nothing happens. The battery was totally flat and I haven't been using the fob for a long time but I seem to recall it used to lock.

I got my oil changed and tires rotated at the dealer recently. I am now getting a waffling noise, similar to when you have the sunroof open. I don't get any vibration in the steering wheel. I have 24000 miles and the car is 16 months old. I have had the tires rotated every 5000 miles. This is the first time this has happened. I felt around the tires and feel no bumps or damage.

I am thinking that because the oil filler cap was removed and started that the computer detected something changed in the engine . This is the first time an engine has done this to me, these things are fine tuned..Must be something to do with the pvc valve system.

I had my Passat (2006) for a couple of weeks now and this message comes up on the dash warning: "AFS inoperative". The bulb failure light was flashing as well. I have the bi-xenon lights.
The L/H bulb was changed and the warning and the bulb failure light is still there, but both headlights are working now. The major drama is that the lights are now dipped and at night we can only see about 20m in front of the car. The lights don't do the start up dance as normal.

Last month I got that update when I turned on my IS and after the update it changed the nav layout while I am driving. I can't figure out where to change it back where only the map is shown while I drive on the highway. It only splits into two screens while I am on the highway and it shows how far away each exit is.
