The air conditioner in my Touareg fogs my windshield right in the middle. How can I stop this from happening?

View 1 RepliesI have 2010 Camry front windshield fogs Up than i press defroster. Before fog on front windshields clears up after pressing front defroster button. Now it doesn't work.
This fogging only happens at night after I turn the A/C on. Front windshields fogs Up than i use the defroster no use still the front window is fogged up.
So I have a 2001 Jetta Wolfsburg, the wipers work fine, but when I switch them off they stop in the middle of the windshield. Also when I use the spray, the fuse blows every time.
View 3 RepliesCar: 1992 GMC Sonoma 2.8L Manual
Miles: ONLY 197,000 miles
Symptom: My windshield wipers sometimes stop in middle of the windshield. Sometimes the windshield wipers keep going for three or four cycles after I've turned them off with the switch. I don't see any pattern in when they stop in the middle. The constant speeds of low and high are still low and high and they always seem to go all the way back down before coming back up. I haven't played with the intermittent speeds very much so I don't know what they're are doing.
Fixes: I have not had a mechanic take a look at this yet. They usually complain about other things when I bring it in. Little things like "your brakes are almost gone" (big deal, I don't need breaks because it is a stick shift) or "your tires are showing their metal wire" (big deal, I've had a front tire blow out before at 70 mph... on this same truck come to think of it).
Current workaround: I usually keep playing with the wipers until they end up back at the bottom by turning them on and off at different intervals.
Yesterday I started feeling a constant bump coming from the middle of the vehicle... i can really feel it with with elbow on the console. The bumping seems to speed it up with transmission but it does continue when i slip it into neutral. I stopped by the dealership and they said "It's prolly some motor that in the middle of the car. It happens on a lot of touaregs"
View 10 RepliesI've noticed that often in the morning, my Touareg has condensation forming on the inside of the front winshield. I don't drive the vehicle daily. I have looked for a moisture source inside of the vehicle but it is bone dry.
View 3 RepliesOk so it was 93 degrees and quite humid...guess around 65-70%, in Dallas. I got the fogging problem with 3 distinct circles on the windshield. I tried several settings.
Keeping the front dash (eye level) and feet level vents on seems to work abit. Keep the air away and from going to the windshield.
Then if it still fogs up...Hitting the 2 "Recir" buttons alternatively seems to work.
This may not work in FL , VW needs a better fix than just sealing those vents and stopping airflow to the windshield completely.
I just noticed today my passenger side windshield is wavy. Is there a TSB for it? I would like to get mine replace, but my dealer said it's within spec...
View 9 RepliesI took delivery of a new 2004 Touareg V8 with nav system radio, yesterday. On the way home, in the rain, the front windshield wipers stopped working as well as sound from the radio (controls, menus, etc... were still illuminated) This is not very comforting. Windshield wipers are quite necessary in the rain. The general technology behind windshield wipers and radios would seem to be mature to the point that reliability need not be questioned. As a new owner having just been through an hour of instruction on operating this piece of machinery, I felt somewhat inadequate that I could not operate the windshield wipers and radio. I said to myself, it can't be this hard! My wife and I became frustrated at each other to the point of my speculation on who would get the vehicle in the divorce.
When I finally made my way into my driveway, I decided to check the wiper fuse because it was most necessary, rain being forecast for the next several days.
I pulled the 30A fuse for the wipers and found it to be OK. I then replaced it. Behold, both the wipers and radio began to work. (The manual does not say anything about the radio being connected to the wiper fuse) Case closed, I thought. 5 minutes later they went out again. I pulled the fuse, replaced it and eureka, they began to work again. I drove the vehicle today for about 30 minutes at which time they ceased to function once more.

I have an 05 Touareg and the passenger side windshield wiper is not wiping a small section of the screen, approximately behind the rear view mirror. It's not a problem with the blade (I replaced those) so I suspect the wiper arm needs adjustment. Raising the car's bonnet reveals the wiper arm attachment (see picture) but there's a plastic cover that it looks like I need to remove. Usually I use brute force and break things like this. How to
(1) remove the plastic cover and
(2) adjust the wiper arm
I have a creaking noise that appears to be coming from the bottom part of the windshield or underneath the dash in that area.
View 6 RepliesThe clips on the cover broke so I bought a new one. Since they redesigned the 04 base, I have to remove the base. I remove the nut on the outside and the 3 on the on the inside after removing the cover. However I can't figure out how to pull the wiper off and replace the base. There is something holding it together. There is a pin that is connected to the inside that has a round hole but it is not a torx, allen, or any type of other tool I tried.
View 5 RepliesLooking for a solution to the windshield condensation problem found in humid states. I took my Touareg in for the TSB but it has not worked much.
View 9 RepliesI just bought a used 2004 Touareg. I think I got a great deal.
I have noticed the noisy windshield wipers, the condensation on the windshield, minor binding problems when turning, and some hesitation/jumpiness in the throttle. I talked to a dealer today and they said if I had a list of things to fix, they could do it in a day.
My front wipers have quit and have seen a similar thread a while ago indicating that this is something others have encountered. This happened once before about a month ago, and they started up again a few days later. So I don't think it is the motor. The back ones work, the fluid works, but no fronts.
View 2 RepliesI have a leaking washer fluid reservoir. Spews out under the car when I try to fill it up and then get the low washer fluid warning. Have always used washer fluid -20F formula.
View 6 RepliesJust got my Touareg a little over a week ago and used the wipers for the first time today and noticed that they make a rather loud noise everytime they wipe the windshield (I believe the driver-side blade is making most of the noise). It's hard to describe the noise but it's probably the most annoying. It seems to be loudest when it's drizzling or misting and the wipers engage (triggered by the auto-sensor). How to to resolve it?
View 10 RepliesI have a constant fog on my windshield, A rattle in the steering wheel area and a middle headrest that's too big. What can I do?
View 4 RepliesEvery time my wipers go they chatter or bounce on the glass as they go across. Even when there is a TON of water on the windshield it will still do this... though not as much. It seems to happen more at the bottom of the wiper.
I don't know if it is a design flaw with the wipers, if I just have a bad set of blades, or what could cause it. In the past with other cars I have only had this problem when I tried to wipe dry glass.
Looking for the Part No. for the exterior plastic cover at the bottom of the front windshield. Mine is cracked on the front passenger side. Not sure what it's called but only a portion is exposed...the rest is hidden below the hood and it's attached via clips and (4) screws.
View 1 RepliesI recently noticed that our washer fluid is leaking. We had a massive snowstorm just over a week ago, and we accordingly went snowboarding. After returning that night, the fluid warning went off. I filled it, and that was that. We went again the next day, in which I used no washer fluid at all. The wipers alone took care of it. Anyhow, that night I kept getting the signal to top up the washer fluid again! I had added a full gallon the night before! So, I figured something was up.
Last night, I actually witnessed it dripping from underneath, about where you think it would. I wasn't able to see the actual tank, or any of the lines leading up to the filling spout, so I couldn't tell if there's a crack in anything, or if there's a bad connection somewhere.
Before that, the only indication that there might be an actual leak was "blueness" on the garage floor, but it honestly didn't look like any more than what you would get while filling the tank and having some miss and land on the ground. It wasn't a massive puddle or anything. The other indication was the "top off" warning.
