As the title says, this has been leaking for months now. I hardly use the rear washer, but it constantly drips out of the wiper arm. Washer fluid now bakes onto the paint in the hot sun.
View 2 RepliesA while back I noticed the rear window washer wasn't spraying much water onto the window, then found water inside the boot (trunk) and saw there was water dripping onto the parcel shelf when I operated the rear washer and wiper.
As the car was only 6 months old at that time I didn't go fiddling around with things, thought I'd best wait until the 15,000 km service was due, which was today.
When I brought it in for the service I told the Man it was leaking. At pick up time he said they didn't find any leaks so I put the washer and wiper on and after a few seconds there was water dripping inside the rear window. So the car went back in to the mechanics who took out the plastic stoplight lens and after a few minutes the Man said that the plastic around where the water comes out was cracked.
OK, well fix it then I said. He felt it was unlikely that Hyundai would consider this a warranty issue. He agreed there was no other damage around the area and that I couldn't have caused this by backing into anything but I would need to buy a whole new lens.
When i try to use rear window washer the fluid comes out on the front window with front wipers not activating and rear one moving. The front washer works fine. The hose was disconnected above the headliner.
View 12 RepliesI recently noticed that our washer fluid is leaking. We had a massive snowstorm just over a week ago, and we accordingly went snowboarding. After returning that night, the fluid warning went off. I filled it, and that was that. We went again the next day, in which I used no washer fluid at all. The wipers alone took care of it. Anyhow, that night I kept getting the signal to top up the washer fluid again! I had added a full gallon the night before! So, I figured something was up.
Last night, I actually witnessed it dripping from underneath, about where you think it would. I wasn't able to see the actual tank, or any of the lines leading up to the filling spout, so I couldn't tell if there's a crack in anything, or if there's a bad connection somewhere.
Before that, the only indication that there might be an actual leak was "blueness" on the garage floor, but it honestly didn't look like any more than what you would get while filling the tank and having some miss and land on the ground. It wasn't a massive puddle or anything. The other indication was the "top off" warning.
The outlet holes do not appear to be blocked and I cannot hear a pump motor running when trying to clean the rear window. Is there a separate pump to supply fluid to the rear window?

Looks like the hose is made of some plastic material that doesn't like flexing very much. I guess I opened the rear hatch enough times to break it.
Is this a common problem? Is there a proper size coupler available to fix this?
How do I turn on the rear wiper without it spraying the window with washer fluid? I've followed the instructions in the manual for using the rear wiper, but very time I turn the wiper on it sprays the window with washing fluid. I don't need washer fluid sprayed on the window if the window is already wet from rain.
View 11 RepliesMy rear windshield washer has stopped working, does the MkVI have a separate pump for the front and rear washer fluid sprayers? My front sprayer is still working, fluid is full, and I don't see any VCDS codes relating to the rear windshield washer motor. Since I am approaching a wet season, it would be best if the rear washer worked. I am still under warranty but just wanted to know if there are two sprayer pumps on our cars.
FWIW, I have not had a problem with the rear washer dripping and no TSB have been performed on the rear washer.
it's got these spots and they are rusting. It's only on one side of the window and no where else on the car. Will post pictures shortly. I have never heard of a window rusting. But it looks like some sort of coating on the window that is rusting but when I removed the rust it goes below the surface of the glass.

View 5 RepliesJust got a 2003 Touareg V10 and have come home and the rear left window is jammed in the open position - no amount of button pressing will move it. It is now taped up until 2moro when I can get it to the garage.
View 9 RepliesWell I have had my T-Reg for 24 hours and only have one issue. The rear window on the hatch will not open. We read the manual multiple times and it states you just unlock the hatch and than hold the button underneath the wiper and it should open. No luck. Looks like it could be some electrical thing.
View 1 RepliesI have used (or tried to) the rear window exactly twice over the last year or so and it has never opened easily.Is there some trick to opening the rear window? I've searched the manual and threads and have come up empty.
As reference here is what I've tried to open it:
-Using the key fob and door buttons to unlock the "trunk"
-Pushed button under the wiper blade housing then pulled the housing to open the window
-Pushed the button under the wiper blade housing while simultaneously pulling the housing up to open the window
-Used the door button to unlock the trunk and immediately ran to the back of the truck to open the window
-Used the convenience function (meaning did not push any buttons)and pushed the button under the wiper blade housing while simultaneously pulling the housing up to open the window
BTW, the hatch is always closed when I try to open the window.
As I said, I used some combination of the above to open the window twice after numerous attempts. Last night I tried everything and could not get the darn thing to open so I used the ski bag and rear seat pass-though to store what I needed while the front of it rested on the front passengers' armrest. I don't think anything is broken, it is likely that I just don't know how the darn thing works and the manual stinks.
My wife or my daughter (neither will take the blame) pulled the Sun Screen up/out to far and now it won't retract back into the door. How to get it to retract again, without taking the door apart?

View 10 RepliesWithin 2.5 hours, some bandits smashed my rear window and opened the door to steal a purse that was stuffed under the driver's seat. When I arrived there was no alarm going off. I know it was locked because I had to unlock the doors with my key.
View 13 RepliesEvery so often when I open the rear window, my MFI will report it "open" even when it's not. Thus far the only solution I have found is that I have to exit the vehicle re-open and re-close the rear window. I have checked the rear window to see if it was open or loose - but it's been secured each time.

View 2 RepliesMy darling wife just called me and told me that one of the people that she was transporting in our egg this afternoon pulled up the passenger-side rear sunshade and hooked it on the clips at the top. Then apparently he just rested his arm on the ledge and they heard some sort of "pop" noise. Then, when he unhooked the sun shade to retract it back into the door it wouldn't pull back and retract so it's stuck in the "open" position. I'm guessing it's a simple matter of popping off the door skin and resetting something that's popped/snapped off.

One was that after a heavy night a rain there was a small pool of water in the very back of the car underneath the cargo area near the wire that runs from the traction battery. In fact the little prongs holding a slim white (electronic) box connecting to the battery were rusted out.
View 3 RepliesI recently purchased a certified 2013 Camry SE and just found the headliner bent above the rear window. I'm not sure if my 4 year old decided to take a look up in the headliner and bent it or if I missed it during initial inspection. It looks like it was pulled down with one finger and its kind of folded. Its at about the 1/3 point going across the upper rear window. It is a very small bend, only an inch or so deep. Any way to repair a bent headliner? Or have a link on how to repair it? I was thinking of using hot glue and a metal rod or plate but am concerned it may bleed through. Its very annoying to see it every day when looking in the rear view mirror.
