I can't seem to figure out what to do. I have two 2010 tourages (Work at a bulletproofing company down here in Mexico) and on the first one, we just finished the little light keeps blinking. I took it to get scanned and it shows no errors.. yet the light keeps blinking and it's telling me AFS inoperable.
I tried replacing both head lights with the headlights of the other Touareg but it still keeps blinking...
Just cleaned out the oil seperator box on my 93 850, put new injector seals in and a new intake gasket. Start up the car ran rough for a little then idles like a champ. The problem-shift up indicator is blinking. Barely put my fut on the gas shifts up a gear then back down then back up, I think I unplugged something by accident.
View 1 RepliesLast week while on the highway I noticed my AC was not blowing cold. It was set to the lowest temperature and at the lowest fan setting. The air had gone from cold to room temperature and the AC button light was flashing/blinking.
I pressed the button, it lit up solid and it started blowing cold again. Two minutes later the air went back to room temperature and the light was flashing again.
It worked fine for a few days and then it happened again Saturday. I noticed the air wasn't coming out cold and see that the AC button is blinking. I tap it solid and it starts blowing cold again only this time it stayed cold for the rest of the 20 minute drive. What could be going on here?
I started my Treg this morning and let it warm up for several minutes. I noticed on the lcd right above the temperature I had a graphic of the low 4 wheel drive symbol. Also the lights on the control wheel (where you would put it into low 4 wheel) by the gear shift was blinking on and off. So I drove it for awhile and I knew I wasn't in low 4 wheel. I stopped and turned off the engine and turned it back on. It was normal. this has happened 3 times now. Only when starting cold. I would then turn it off then back on and the symbol and the blinking would stop.
View 14 RepliesHyundai Elantra 2011... My issue occurred just yesterday on a highway at speeds above 65 mph. I initially noticed my traction control light blinking upon light acceleration but with no noticeable loss in traction.
I continued with caution. About 5 minutes later, the light now was blinking regardless of the amount of acceleration. I found I could push the accelerator to the floor with no added power and my speedometer was dropping below 55 mph.
Being a busy highway, I had to very quickly get to the side of the road as my car dropped to dangerous speeds in the middle of the highway. Had I no shoulder or outlet, I could've been in serious trouble.
The situation resolved itself with a simple shut down, restart of the vehicle. But it makes me very concerned why the error in the computer occurred in the first.
I have a major problem with my 04 V8 Touareg! I can't shift out of park. I spoke to the dealer and they told me that the battery could be the problem since I had to get it jumped. I changed the battery, and I still can't get it out of park. The brake light on the dash is flashing and the ABS light is on. The vehicle is parked in garage and the only way to get it out and on to a tow truck is to drag it.

Since getting it back we now have an annoying red light flashing from just to the top right of the Nav screen. Light flashes until either the radio is switched on or engine is started. I've checked the owners manual and forum but can't find any info on it.

View 4 RepliesI have a 2013 Elantra GLS with almost 200k on it. I am the original owner. I have only had a few small problems with it just replacing lights and had to replace the passengers side wheel bearing twice. the rest has just m=been replacing wear and tear parts. the check engine light is on because it needs 02 sensors. They are back ordered. The car started idling roughly and driving horribly on the way from Rhode Island to New York on Christmas day. A friend had a diagnostic machine and the code read misfire cylinder 3 p0303..I am assuming it damaged the catalytic converter and that I now need both the sensors and the convertor. I live about 7 miles from my garage. should I tow it ? or drive a t a low speed? Have to bring it in first thing in the morning. What else could be wrong?
View 3 RepliesOkay, so after 42k miles, I had to bite the bullet 4 months before my lease is up and put yet another set of tires on my T2. Done today at reputable shop, and the TPMS is not yet registering the monitors on all four wheels. Driven about 8 miles since and they are still not registering. The indicator light is flashing for 60 seconds to indicate no signal. Should this rectify itself with some driving, as other systems on the Treg do, or is it something else. They were working immediately prior to them mounting the new tires.
View 6 RepliesI just purchased a used 2010 Toyota Corolla with Airbag Light ON (not blinking). Yes car was in an accident, but Air Bags did not deployed as per the seller. It needs to re-calibrate by Dealer.
As a novice, and avid Toyota person, since it's a good deal I decided to take the car with the airbag lights on. I have seen on youtube, the cause is likely the spiral cable.
Ok, my final question about my 2010 Camry I bought. It is certified preowned which means everything has been inspected and maintained. So I was surprised to see my maint. req light blinking. They didn't change the oil?
However, I noticed it is only coming on and blinking when I have the key turned to power on, but not when the engine is cranked. Is this just a normal light display? I'm definitely calling the dealer if the oil needs changed already.
Gen 3 2011, rear view mirror grarage door opener light has a constant dim blink. The second light which indicates reflective repression will not turn on or off. That light should be on at night all the time.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2011 Elantra that I purchased brand new. Has over 60,000 miles on it. Had a check engine light come about year or so ago which was fixed with a software update at the dealer.
Check engine light is back on now. Steady light; it's not blinking. Brought it to my mechanic. Ran diagnostic and said the oxygen sensor needed to be replaced. P codes were P2096 and P2196. He ordered the sensor from the dealership and installed it. Reset my cars computer. I drove the car 26 miles and the engine light came on again.
Here are my questions:
1. Wouldn't my mechanic's diagnostic equipment tell him what the problem or all the problems were? Why would it tell him the oxygen sensor needed to be replaced when there seems to be another problem causing the engine light to come on?
2. Would the dealership have more insight into a check engine light system problem than a mechanic shop may have?
I am driving down the road and the TPMS light starts to blink - and then stays on. I looked in the manual and it says that "When the light comes on after blinking for 1 minute: Malfunction in the tire pressure warning system." The resolution is to "Have the system checked by your Toyota dealer."
All my pressures, including the spare are how I have them set. I also made sure to re-set the TPMS button under the steering wheel to the new pressures and everything. I'll let you know what I find out. I'm kinda mad a sensor has failed though on a car that's less than one year old.
I just purchased a 2013 Prius from the insurance company as a theft recovery , it came without any keys.

In idle, it sounds like a big flicking V8 Supercharged (I actually feel the car vibrating) and I need to give it a LOT of gas to start in 1st. When I turn the key, it takes a while to start. It is flicking weird. I am dropping my car first thing in the morning, but somebody got that so far?! And the last thing I did before getting the light is reversing in a parking lot and parking my car. I have my car since december.
View 6 RepliesI've got an 01 that I recently bought with bad batteries. I replaced the 12V and the hv batteries, and all the codes cleared out. The gas gauge was flashing 1 bar and I got the message to add fuel. I first put 1 gallon in thinking at least the gauge should stop blinking. When it didn't, I added 2 more gallons. Still no change. After pulling the rear seat to look for the sending unit, we dropped the tank only to find that it's not replaceable!

The Owner's Manual says: If the vehicle is in danger of slipping or rolling backward when starting on an incline, or if any of the drive wheels spins, the slip indicator light flashes to indicate that the VSC/TRAC systems are operating.
Luckily, it only happened once... otherwise, I'll roll back to the dealership in the very first day I picked up my car...
I just bought my wife a 2010 GX 460 and noticed an issue today with 4 Lo. When sitting with the car on, and in park, I engaged 4 Lo. The 4 Lo light began flashing along with a dinging sound. It didn't stop when I put it in drive or reverse, and just continued. The manual states I need to take it into the dealership because there is a malfunction.

I got in the car and tried to identify the icon but couldn't- bad eyes, apparently, and it flashes too quickly for me to make it out. It immediately stopped when I turned the car on. I could find nothing in the manual.
