View 1 RepliesWill I have to remove the whole front bumper to change the front parking light bulbs ?
I noticed that one of them is missing and the other one burnt out.
One of my Parking lights, the orange ones in the corner of the headlights burnt out, I want to get rid of the other orange one and just put clear lights in there, i dont like the look of the orange. How to access those lights so i can change them out??

View 7 RepliesMy left driver side parking light is out.
Can you get to that light to replace it easily, without removing bumper, etc??
And if so, what kind of bulb does it take??
I'm running a euro switch on my 05 V8 and I just noticed some weird battery fluctuations for specific light configurations.
In particular, if I run the parking lights (without the headlights)and the front fog lights together, the battery indicator jumps around between 13 and 14 on the console readout. For any other position on the euro switch, the battery charge indicator stays locked onto 14 (where I would expect it to be). I can reproduce the issue easily and haven't found another direct cause. There haven't been any other battery symptoms that I've noticed, so this one seems a bit peculiar.
When I went to shut off the ignition today, the MFI showed "Parking Light On". Don't know why it happened but it shut off by itself. But then it switched over and said "Side Light On" and the annoying buzzer stayed on. This is the second time that message came on. I started the engine again and it shut off. Actually, the first time the message "Side Light On" came on was after I had opened the rear hatch and noticed the inside lights stayed on.
View 5 RepliesI have an '08 VW Passat with a 2.0T FSI Engine and both of my front parking lights aren't working. A while back, I got body work done on it and then it was returned to me with that warning sign. I didn't make a fuss because I got a really good deal on the bodywork and figured I could just look into it myself.
I don't think it's a faulty connector because all of the connections seem to check out.
I read a few posts about changing the front parking light bulb (I think the same a city light in some countries?) in a 2008 VW Passat B6 and it seemed a quite difficult affair. However, after performing it myself I realized it's very simple and shouldn't take more than 5 mins:
First locate the cover for the front headlights:
Then open the brackets on the bottom and top of the cover. For me it worked better to open the bottom bracket first. Just flip it down with your finger:
Then inside the housing, locate the plastic flap for the parking light bulb:
Just pull it straight back. There is no hinge or anything, so just a quick pull back should do the trick:
Change the bulb and re-assemble everything back.
In the last week our Egg has begun to randomly decide to turn on a "parking light" on the passenger side of the vehicle when the car is turned off. This doesn't happen every time. But when it does, the amber light in the front and one in the cluster in the rear (both on the passenger side) turn on while the car is off. Also in the display in the instrument cluster you get "PARKING LIGHT SWITCHED ON" and a very loud warning sound.
I wasn't aware that our Egg's had a "parking light" feature and how to turn it on or off. More importantly I don't understand why this is coming on when it does. When it comes on, I can restart the car, turn it off and most times it turns off.
Not sure what they are called, but my front/right side/orange colored /non-blinker/US configured light is not illuminating. This is the fairly dim light that comes on along with the headlights.
It doesn't look easy to access in terms of bulb replacement, so how to get at it...or perhaps it's as simple as a fuse change.
I have to replace my rear wiper arm and rear LED string on the hatch.
My rear wiper arm got damaged at a car wash, I took the cap off and removed the bolt however the arm will not come off.
The LED string, where to start and my dealer was unable to tell when I picked the part up.
About to replace seat belt (dog chewed original) and had two concerns:
1) Do I have to disconnect 12v battery (to avoid triggering airbags)?
2) Care in replacement installation due to "explosive" component?
I've just begun to replace my front struts (Monroe quick strut pre-assembled). The thing is, the top bearing plate bolts and the lower mounting point are out of alignment by 90 degrees. The included directions say they can be rotated but gives no procedure and they do not just "turn" easily obviously. How to rotate them to fit??
View 3 RepliesMy front right (passenger) side parking light is broken and I can't figure out how to change the bulb. The left (driver) one is a simple twist and done, but the right one is just impossible.

View 2 RepliesLooking for a link for a novice to see how to replace the front struts on my 07? I'm thinking I'm capable of getting them out, but will take them to a shop to compress the spring and do the switch.

How tight should the wheel bearing retaining nut (sealed bearing hubs) be torqued when replacing the front rotors?
Is there a spec, or just real good and tight since the bearings are sealed units.....
So here is my issue, my parking brake light stays on. Ive checked my parking brake pads, the cables and the switch. They are all servicable and operational yet the light stays on...
View 7 RepliesI recently purchased an 07 f150 lariat leveled 4x4. I noticed the other day that all at once, the abs light and parking brake light came onto the dash, 4x4 low doesn't work and just stays in high and the ac doesn't blow cold. I'm assuming this is somewhat connected considering this all happened at once but really just not sure.
View 1 RepliesAt first the passenger side front parking light would randomly not turn on until you gave the light assembly a hard tap. Now I am having the same problem with the driver side low beam light. I checked the harness connector and it clicks firmly into place. So, I am guessing there's something not grounded properly somewhere on the light assembly. I'm hoping that a light film of dielectric grease will work but I can't tell where to put it.
