My passenger seat will recline but will not move back upright. All other seat electrics work fine just cannot get the seat to move upwards anymore.

I have a question as to the sc430 reclining position.. my Sc430 will not recline far back as I would like for my normal driving position.. My GS300 reclines far back as I want.

The seat being all the way back makes it much more difficult to get my son in and out of his child seat in the back. Also, I'm not obese nor do I have mobility problems so the seat moving out of the way is a complete waste for me!
View 7 RepliesI love my SC430, and want to keep it another ten years! BUT... I reclined the passenger seat this weekend, and now it won't go back up. Using the release lever, I can pull it up, but if you sit there or put any pressure on it, it falls right back down again to full reclining position.
View 4 RepliesWe just got a new 2014.5 LE, but I noticed that front passenger seat in it doesn't recline flat when reclined backwards. We also have 2012 Camry hybrid, and the difference in seat reclining between them is 3/4". 2012 passenger seat reaches back seat when fully reclined, and 2014.5 does not, it has quite a large gap. Is my 2014.5 seat defective and needs to be fixed, or are all of them are made like this now? We had two 2006 Camrys before, and in both of them front passenger seats reclined fully, touching the back seat...
View 8 RepliesI have a problem on my 2009 Lexus ES 350, this morning I found out the passenger side power seat is not moving at all in any directions (up, down, front, back etc.) However the driver's side is working. It was working in the past, but I would not know for how long it has stopped working as I don't normally press the buttons on the passenger side except when I want to clean the car.
I tried going through the owners manual to check if it is a blown fuse, but on opening the hood the fuse referred to as Power seat fuse is big fuse that cannot be pulled, also checked the one under the steering compartment, I could not find it either as from the manual it is not a regular fuse either. On second thought I was thinking if it a blown fuse both seats should not be working except they are wired separately (I don't know, just a guess).
Leak in the passenger door that blows cold air on the unsuspecting front seat passenger that is intended for the back seat door frame vents? I say 'the' leak because we checked other Tregs at the dealer with similar gaps between the door and gasket on the passenger side.

View 3 RepliesMy problem is my seat will recline but will not go back up. Basically every time I hit the recline switch my seat is stuck a little further reclined. I am not sure if the problem is the switch, motor, control box ect. When I move the recline switch I hear the relay in the control box close. Nothing happens when I press forward. Very difficult seat to work on. I can't even sort out where the recline motor is. It seems to be in the seat back though and not under the seat but I am not sure and diagrams are unclear to me.

View 2 RepliesI have an 06 Trailblazer with power seats. Moved the pass. seat up to fit something in the back. When went to put seat back into position it would not move back. The reclining function on the seat back is working. Is it unheard of for the seat motor to go bad or is it possibly just off track, or something?
View 2 RepliesI have a 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio GLS 4Cyl2.0L. the wheel that raises and lowers the back of the seat has come out. The small plastic interior part appears to have snapped. Is there a way to order a replacement part and replace this myself?

We realized that she has to be careful because the driver seat headrest will push against the headliner. I think the adjustment range could have been better planned. Our last car would not allow this to happen.

Offlate I am observing that when the car is shifting gears (automatic), I hear kind of some fluid moving through near the front passenger seat. I looked under the seat and the searched the whole car to see if there is a half empty water bottle thats making the sound. I dont see it though. Am I looking at some problem?
View 6 RepliesThe headrest of back seat will bend over when fold down the seat. But one of the headrests can't go back to original up position. The dealer has adjusted the cable but this just temporarily fixed the problem. The problem is back again. I will go back to dealer but can they really fix it? Should I ask for a replacement of the whole seat?

Other day my wife was driving when the driver's seat started moving all by itself - moved all the way forward and stopped which was very frightening while you are doing 110 kmh! Nothing caught in the switches on the side, switches were not wet (shorting). I took it out later but nothing happened until I got out, locked the door and watched as the seat started to move and again did not stop until it was all the way forward! Lucky I wasn't driving - I'm 6'3" and it would have been very uncomfortable. I moved it back, locked 'er up and by the time I got back to the car 30 minutes late, it had happened all over again.
View 1 RepliesI collapsed the rear seats this morning, loaded the Treg up with stuff (nothing too heavy) and drove 200 miles. Got home, unloaded stuff and then tried to put the seats back up. The center seat belt is integrated into the passenger side 60% folding seat. But for some reason it's now "locked" as the belts do when the car is in an accident.
Since the belt is tight as it is in the lowered position, it will not allow me to lift up the back portion of the seat. After looking at it in the somewhat narrow view I have from between the floor and the lowered back rest, I can see that when I try to lift the back rest, the belt needs to slack some to allow the seat back to go all the way up. But since it catches, it only allow the seat back to raise about 6" before it's too tight to raise the seat back anymore.
I looked at the mounting bolts for the bottom portion of the belt in the space I can see and I see a 12 point star pattern bolt (not sure of proper name). With my Passat, I was able to find a suitable allen wrench that fits in the 12 point star pattern bolt that controls the back door catch for adjustment purposes. But with this one, I tried both metric and SAE and neither has a close enough match.
The belt locking mechanism allows for about 1" of belt travel before it locks. I've jiggled with the belt trying to get the mechanism to unlock so I don't have to remove the belt anchor point on the floor of the car (which I don't have the right wrench for). Anything I can do with the belt? Or do I just go after getting the right wrench and undoing the anchor to allow more belt slack to reset the belt?
Try setting your fader entirely to the back speakers and tell me if the sound coming out is at all full/complete. I can hardly hear anything coming from the back.
