Touareg :: 2006 - Headlight Malfunction - Flickers When Accelerating

I found that my headlight has a tendency to flicker, it happens more when I'm accelerating. This morning I had a "check headlights" in the information column right after start-up. Took it to the dealership. Nothing was found, no stored codes?

My 04 Toureag has one headlight (low beam) that flickers on and off. I can shut the door and it will flicker on. This happens both for daytime running lights as well as regular headlights. It also at times registers on the dash that a light is burnt out. Yet all the lights are on and working.

My T-rex was in recently for what seemed like 30 recalls... In the midst of it...my turn signal light bulb went out. They changed it...good thing cause you need to remove the ENTIRE headlight assembly with a special tool, etc. Well...my headlight now goes on/off as it hits bumps etc...was back in once to have it fixed...and has since started again. I noticed the entire assembly does not fit as well (tight) as it did originally, nor like the other assembly that has never been touched. Appears to have been the first assembly they have worked on and broke something cause now it does not mount properly...so after all that...
Had this headlight assembly removed?

My passenger side HL occasionally doesn't come alive at ignition when the light control dial/switch is set on Auto mode. My dealer cannot duplicate the problem.

So when I pull my E-brake the BRAKE light is hit or miss. Sometimes it goes on then flickers for a bit then shuts off, sometimes it stays on, and sometimes it doesn't come on at all. The owners manual says it's an electrical issue.

I have a 2007 GS350, one of my headlights will come on but shuts off after a short period. 1-+5 minutes. I can immediatly shut my lights off and then turn them back on and the light comes on.Is this the Ballast? Is it the Headlight? Where can i get new headlights that wont break the bank if thats what needs to be changed?

I noticed on the drive in today that with my headlights on -- every six seconds the drivers side headlight would flicker / flash brighter (not go dark) for a split moment -- very consistent time would elapse between each flicker. I identified it was the drivers side when I was at a stoplight behind another vehicle. (reflection) Upon arriving to the office I noticed the drivers side low beam headlight was blue and the passenger side was regular color. (matching the fog light)
I assume the drivers side is a Xenon and the passenger side was replaced with a non-Xenon bulb? Also, on a drive during lunch I noticed a warning light flicker under my low wiper fluid warning light -- over a half hour period it only flashed twice, yet the second time I noticed it looked like a light bulb. Is this attempting to warn me about my headlights?

I have a 2010 passat sedan 2.0T. I had DDM 35w 6k HID's installed and ever since this was installed I have had problems galor with my headlights. first the drivers side went out then the passenger side went out. them ballest were bad and then bulbs you get the picture. However now my drivers side headlight flickers when I accelerate and I can not figure out how to fix this.

My 2006 (with conti contacts, still in good shape) seems to behave differently from my 2004 (pirelli scorpions).
When accelerating and turning together (doesn't need to be a sharp turn, can be gradual), occasionally I feel my back seem to "slide" a bit. It's a strange sensation and I can't seem to really place it. It doesn't feel like I'm fishtailing, more like the outer rear wheel in the turn is accelerating a little too fast and pushing my rear end a bit too far too fast.
It only happens for a second and then everything is normal again. I haven't had any troubles with my 2006 beyond this (besides the DVD nav issue). But it does give me a bit of concern, as if the AWD system is a little "off".

My GS300 has developed an issue where the backlight of ML radio module flickers at night. Sometimes quite intense, sometime once in a while.
Just the radio module is affected, nothing else. How to approach this? Could the light bulb inside the radio be replaced?

My 2006 sonata (3.3l) 108k miles has developed a recent problem. The oil light will come on (usually during acceleration) and then go off in a second. i guess you could call it a flicker. I also notice a helicopter sound from the engine. When I rev it up in park I don't hear it. i hear a slight rattler In the alternator area. the serpentine belt is original.
So last week my daughter got the oil changed. I noticed it was leaking oil. I checked fluids and it was fine. I noticed oil on top of the engine, I just thought they spilled some. Continued to leak. checked the oil again and it was approx. 1 3/4 quarts low. The oil light never came on. I suspected the oil filter (its on top of the engine). brought it back to jiffy lube and they said the filter was loose. they gave me a new one and filled up the oil. no ticks or engine noises were noticeable.
So my question is could the oil light be something else (maybe tied to that helicopter sound)?. is an oil light flicker always low oil pressure.

The dealership states that this is not a big problem and that the headlights will not be affected but the malfunction light stays on and the exclamation point is on the dashboard. The fix: replace the rear sensor harness where corrosion on the connection and pin was found - new harness assembly needed. What about just replacing the pin? Dealer states you cannot cut the wire and replace because the wires are not sealed.

I have an 07 Passat Wagon. The headlight malfunction indicator light came on for my passenger side low beam. I replaced the bulb, which was visibly burn out (broken filament), but with a new bulb in, the light still is not working and the malfunction indicator is still on. What is the cause of this? I have the regular headlamps, not the xenon lights.

Well after 8 weeks on owning this touareg this is the second warning light we have to deal with and also had the dead battery scenerio which took 2 trips for them to fix.. Man this is crappy for sure. I am busy at work and do not have time to search around so any info would be great about another TSB that I have to take in to the dealership or anything.

I walk up the car, try to open rear door(doesn't open) drivers side door opens.. get the message, 'side light on' on MFI my lights are set as automatic, no turn signals on. try to start car w/ starter button, no go. try key, nothing. try full left, then full right(as if 1 battery dead) get 'immobile. active' finally got it started, after..[what did it] open hood, close hood. unlock/lock car w/ clicker several times. insert key w/ opposite side up.[normally when using the key, I have an emergency button up]. car starts.
Had a similar issue again later in a day, but got a key icon on MFI after it started. i'm going to try a different key, to see if that makes any difference. as starter button glows and clicker works to unlock/lock. I can't imagine the system doesn't see the key as visible. in the manual, it states that if the key doesn't appear present the immobilizer is activated.

Okay, I had this before for the right side, and dealer changed bulb. Cost me alot. So, when I got this message recently for the left, went to my mechanic friend. Thought the bulb in question is the fog light in the lower bumper. He took out the old one, which was blown btw, and replaced it. Still getting the message. Not sure why.
How to address this? Are the curve light bulbs infact the driving lights, or is it something else. Thought it was driving lights as the curve feature is disabled if you turn them on. Also, the bulb was in fact blown. I guess I could have had two bulbs out, but that's unlikely.

VW replaced my entire transmission and it still jerks into gear when downshifting to a stop or hitting the gas hard while coasting!
Also, I swear there is now binding while turning a la moteur stepper. New tranny. New rear drive shaft. Allegedly new transfer case (I cannot confirm this though). New new new programming. And still the darned thing vibrates by butt with a downshift that a Bettle with 300,000 miles on the clock would not dare make.
Any reference to the operation of the transmission and the sequencing of the various clutches and other coupling devices with respect to gear selection and engine conditions?
