Just picked up a 2005 and the hatch glass will not open. Tried everything that I have read on here and on ClubTouareg. It has to be the fuse or something. Pressing the button on the remote does nothing and neither does the switch on the driver's side door.

View 13 RepliesI just had my treg serviced. One of the tsb's performed was the remote antenna fix. Range is much improved but one problem; the center button on the key remote which used to open the rear hatch doesn't work anymore. Now when pressed, the lights flash and the hatch does not open. I checked the comfort settings and they are still set at unlock doors and hatch.

View 7 RepliesI'm unable to open my trunk door with the remote, using the key, or with the switch on the drivers side door. I am also pretty sure it is not frozen shut. Will I need to switch out the complete latch assembly or just need to wd-40 something? This is for a 2000 Passat 1.8T Sedan.
View 4 RepliesHere is what is happening, if I press the unlock and lock button on remote or from any switch in the car , the front passenger door will not unlock! all of the doors will lock and unlock, except the front passenger dorr will not unlock only, it does lock,just not unlock, i think it may be a bad motor or actuator, I am sure it will be covered under the CPO warranty, especially since its only been less than 1 week since i had it.

View 8 RepliesMk IV Jetta. Central locking works fine. All other CCM functions are fine. Replaced CCM recently serial numbers match. When I hit the switch on the door nothing at all happens. When I use the key button the lights flash twice but no other activity. No broken wires between the body and the trunk lid. Actuator works when tested with a 9v battery.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2005 V8 treg...and recently I've been having a problem with the rear glass hatch not staying locked in place. When I open the trunk with either the remote or interior button it stays locked...but when I try to close it...the glass hatch pops unlocked.
Then I can hear the motor for the locking device in the hatch trying several locking cycles (during which you cannot lock the glass). I've tried several combinations of opening closing procedures but cannot get it to stay locked all the time. Sometimes I get it...and sometimes it takes several attempts to stay locked. Nothing looks bent or broken in the locking area...
I have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. The door locks do not respond to the remote or the switch on the door. If I disconnect the battery for a few seconds, they will work for a day or two. It seems to be a computer problem. Is there only one? Where is it and are there any other tests I can do to troubleshoot this?
View 3 RepliesOkay here is the deal: My X has been leaking from the time that I purchased the thing almost 2 years ago, in the back intermittent at first and I have been trying to trace it. It's not the roof rack and not any hinges or goodies around the edge, top, door, trim, etc. So what is it! Well we finally got some rain here and I am pretty sure it's the actual glass seal!?!? What should I use to seal it If I pull all the nuts off the bolts does the glass pop out? I just don't want it to go "pop"
View 2 RepliesI have a 2005 excursion with about 112,000 miles and last week all 5 doors decided to stop working on me when trying to lock or unlock with the remote or the door switch. I do hear a sound like something is happening just right of the fuse box. I did a little research and found that this is a wide spread problem. I did order 4 of the 5 actuators and I replaced the drivers door but nothing yet. Do they all have to be replaced in order to work? Or is it most likely something else causing this? Just trying to figure it out before I install the other actuators or take it in to a shop.
View 1 RepliesI've been having an issue with my hatch not opening the first several times I press the unlock button on the remote. For reference it's the car door unlock button I'm pressing, not the hatch one as that one has never done anything when I've pressed it.
I thought it was due to the faulty rear view camera I had installed (the emblem pops out) but I just got a new one installed 2 days ago and it's doing the same thing. It's gotten so bad I've had to go open the drivers door and press unlock from inside there to get it open.
I'm wondering if there is a problem with the latch getting stuck or something. I've never had it not close all the way or anything like that which I hear is more common than the issue I'm having. I will take a pic of the pin in the trunk that I'm talking about.
I have myself a hatch stuck shut on my wagon. Wont open with the button and the key doesn't turn. The key fob was actually broken when I bought the car leading me to believe it happened while he tried to unlock the stuck hatch.

I have an appointment at Lexus but this sounds like warranty stuff to me -- sudden death of rear hatch? Lexus informed me there is no manual way to open the trunk. Can I somehow manually open the trunk?
I have a 2008 Passat Komfort. About 2 weeks ago I went to open the trunk and nothing happened. Tried using the button next to the gas door open and still nothing, remote doesn't work, button doesn't work neither does pushing the emblem. I have tried both sets of keys and nothing.

View 14 RepliesWhen I went to unlock my trunk hatch last night the remote did not work. I then attempted to unlock the doors....still no joy. I attempted to lock the doors....nothing. I then manually opened the door, fearing my battery was dead (after reading the numerous battery threads) and the put the key in the ignition and it started right up? I then took the key out and locked the door using the reote. I unlocked the door and opened the back hatch with the remote. The only thing I could think was my step mother had unlocked her Dodge Durango that was parked next to mine...and maybe this confused my poor touareg!?

To Unlock: Push the unlock switch once to unlock the driver's door alone. Pushing the switch twice within 3 seconds unlocks all the doors simultaneously ... This double switch operation to unlock all the side doors and back door can be changed to a single switch operation. For details, contact your Toyota dealer.Click to expand...
(Note that this is different than the "smart unlocking" operations discussed on page 32.)
I'm interested in having all the doors unlock with just a single press of the remote unlock button. How to achieve this setting?
If Touareg rear hatch actually opens when press the remote or just unlocks? Mine opens only after you touch area above license plate. Also I cant open at all from door switch. Gas Flap also doesnt work from door. I ran output test with vagcom and both the gas flap and hatch work.
