Touareg :: 2004 V8 - Driver Side Xenon Low Beam Flickered Rapidly And Then Quit Working

Troubleshooting a headlight problem on a 2004 V8 Touareg. Driver's side xenon low beam flickered rapidly and then quit working. I replaced xenon bulb with OEM part, still not working. Swapped in known good bulb from passenger's side, still not working. Took to dealership, who said it needed new ballast, which dealer would be happy to install for a mere $900 in parts and labor. Declined dealer's offer, ordered new replacement OEM ballast (from Chrysler dealer for several hundred less than VW), installed new ballast, still not working. Cleared all fault codes using VAG-COM, still not working. Swapped in known good ballast from passenger's side headlight, still not working. Auto-leveling is still working in both lights. So...not the bulb, not the ballast. Wiring harness, perhaps?

04 Phaeton V8....Have read all FAQ's regarding bulb replacement and should be no problem... Driver's side DRL flickered and finally quit...I need a straight answer on whether their is a difference in the bulb for low or high beams....
I am aware my problem is the low beam light...However, if I relate to previous posts the only part# mentioned is Osram 66043...D1S 85V 35W.... Is this for both low & high beams????
Compatible part numbers: 66042 66140 66142 66143 66144 66145 66147 and many other 4300K
D1S bulbs.
So they all work the same ? I finally ordered the one made in 09 Part#66145 but still not sure if I did the right thing.... Had the car for three days before light fails.....bummer

I noticed yesterday that my driver side xenon light flickers when driving... It's a bit annoying and i can notice it more now. Going to the dealer again on monday, I have my DRL Vagged, wonder if they are going to give me hell about this.

I have a 2004 Explorer and both of the driver side windows quit working so I purchased new switches after checking the fuses and that didn't work. This is my youngest son's truck and can't afford to take it into the shop.

i have a 2005 prius got it 2 years ago when it hade 120,000 miles now has 211,000 runs good but last week on my driver side the tail light and low beam light stopped working at the same time the high beam works fine what could it be?

Drivers side low beam not working. The bulb is fine saying something was tapped in, therefore, can't warranty headlight. Guy said the light gets power just light won't work. Can Vagcom fix this? Dealer wants $125 for inspection plus another $676 for parts and labor.

I have a 2005 Yukon Denali XL. The low beam headlight on the driver's side will not work. I replaced the bulb. Still won't come on. We had just driven the truck up the Dalton highway (The rough road seen on Ice Road Truckers).The passenger side low beam works fine, and all the other lights work fine.

My driver side low beam is not working. I checked the bulb and it's fine. I also checked the fuse and it's fine. Took it to the dealer and they said could be a few hours of labour to determine where the problem is in the wiring.

The trunk lock switch on the d/s inner door panel has stopped working. Also both remotes won"t open the trunk as well. Everything else seems to be OK.

I have a 2002 F-150 SC and the drivers side window quit working yesterday. All the other windows work fine and I can't see where anything else is not working. The only other thing that quit prior to this window problem was the cruise control quit a while back.

My 2006 Prius (Model NHW20) has a strange headlight problem. On the passenger side, the high beam light is out but the regular headlight works.
On the driver side, the high beam is working but the regular headlight is out.
I don't think it's the fuses but I'm not sure. No amount of interchanging the following fuses changes anything about the issue:
1. 10A H-LP HI RH
2. 10A H-LP HI LH
3. 15A H-LP LO RH
4. 15A H-LP LO LH

I have an '07 Saturn Relay. The drivers side heated seat has quit working, the passenger side works fine. When I turn the warmer switch on, the switch lights up but the seat never gets warm on the high or low mode of the switch. After a while the light on the switch goes off, it used to stay on all the time. What could be wrong and how can I check it?

I installed a new ballast and bulb for an 07 ES350. Light, on drivers side, still flickered until I installed the ground screw. This is the screw behind the drivers side quarter panel and it is the only screw on the side of the headlight assembly. Once I inserted this screw, light functioned properly for about 10 minutes. Then it went out and light doesn't come on at all. The fuse is still good. I have tried switching bulbs and light still doesn't work. Also, there isn't any humming from the ballast at all.

My wife told me the other day her keyless entry quit working on our 04 touareg. The remotes still work but only at close range (I just read the sticky about this) but when you grab the handle and the door is locked it doesn't unlock any more. Also when the car is unlocked and you shut the door and press the black button on the handle the car does not lock anymore. I really liked that feature and had just showed it to her and then she tells me it quit working. I would rather not take it to the dealer if I can fix it myself. My 2003 Ford Explorer Power Door Unlock on the drivers side quit working. I can unlock the doors using the fob, unlock them from the passenger side or unlock it manually. I have replaced the Power Door Lock switch but still have the same problem.

So I was driving tonight and bumped my brights on and turned them back off and now my low beam on the driver side isn't working. Figured it blew the bulb so I replaced it and still nothing. High beam still works, low beam doesn't. Checked the low beam fuses and they seem to be fine. 2004 FX4

Asides from the myriad of other gremlins associated with our Tregs, my wife's has developed a problem in which the passenger side Xenon Head lamp stops working. When this occurs there is a corresponding warning on the MFI (which is stuck on warning because of the tire pressure module issue). If you turn the vehicle off, sometimes it resets and comes back on - other times it does not.

I have a 1999 f250 crew cab. About 6 months ago my drivers side window quit working in the up position(lucky me) and last week I got around to fixing it . I just ordered a new window motor instead of the whole regulator and installed it and it worked perfect for 4 days and today it suddenly quit again. What would cause a window motor to go out again so quick? Everything else seems to be fine and there is power to it so I'm assuming it's the motor.

This morning a dash light informed me a headlight bulb was out. It was my DTR light on the passenger side.
I purchased Sylvania H7 high intensity, installed it and it failed to work properly. Daytime light on only drivers side works.
High Beam on , both lights works.
I checked my manual and it said to check fuse in the 5 slot on the driver side dash/door panel and there actually is no fuse in there. I checked the driver side and there was no fuse there either.
I replaced my driver side bulb last year and it took 5 mins....i am already 4 hours into this!
