Tiguan :: How To Remove Profile Associated With Old Cell Phone
Apr 28, 2012
Proud owner of a 2012 Tig! My wife recently got a new cell phone and would like to remove the profile associated with her old phone from the hands-free Bluetooth (the old phone is inoperable). I don't see anything in the menu system. Is there any way to do that?

Is it possible to rewire the front power outlet so that it shuts off when I turn off the car or remove the key.
All the new cell phone chargers light up and stay lit up when the car is off because the socket is always powered. It bugs me, though, and I'm getting sick of unplugging the charger every time I shut off the car.

The programmed code inside the smart key could be changed or erased if it is too close to your cell phone(same pocket). As a result u can't start your car any more.
I understand that Nissan has some these cases reported on its smart key(07 G35?) and it issue the statements that the key need to be at least "one inch away" from your cell.

Had a Verizon cell phone charger get stuck in the socket of a Mazda 3? I have a 2010 Mazda 3 and plugged in my Verizon cell phone charger in over the weekend and now cannot get it out. It is really stuck. Looking for a Mazda TSB, if has been issued for this problem?

I had to break suddenly last night, and my phone (attached to the AUX cable at the time) bounced up under the wheel, gaining access by the accelerator and break pedals. I can hear it vibrate, but cannot feel the vibrations or touch the phone by reaching up under there - and I am worried I will disconnect the wires if I continue to rummage.
I removed the base of the steering wheel column, but did not find my phone, I guess it is wedged too far into the workings of my car Jeep Compass 2007.
I have two questions. could I remove the plastic facing by the windshield without dismantling the car (I can't tell from the manual)
is it safe to drive with my phone in this position? I'm worried it might disconnect the break fluid or something as I try to drive it to the mechanic.

While I was pulling out my charger from the port of my brand new 2013 Prius Two, the whole plastic housing the auxiliary/charger ripped off. Nothing was damaged, nor was any plastic bits pulled off. It just came apart. I tried for so long trying to put it back in, but to no avail. Here's the picture on Imgur: [URL] ....

I have a 2007 Honda Civic 2 dr. A couple years ago the manufacturer cell phone charger was blown in a few days of use with the cigarette lighter. The manufacturer replacement was next blown, and then a cheap off-brand was blown. Last fall, turning on the rear defroster began causing static interference on the FM stations. Several months later, I noticed that use of the cigarette lighter as a cell phone charger also caused radio static.
Next week, the rear windshield will be removed and replaced during a body repair. Should I ask for a replacement windshield, or just for attention to the connection with the electric? What else can be done about either of these causes of FM static?

I am a new Prius 2010 owner - One question - I read in the manual you should not carry your remote control near your cell phone since it could cause decrease battery life. Does it matter if cell phone is off? I always carried by Camry remote control in my purse with my off cell phone. Camry is 7 years old and battery still works.

Here is the problem, brand new Tiquan with the 315 Navi system. It does recognize my wifes and my Motorola phones. We can receive incoming calls, but to make an outgoing call we can not use the phone book. (the only way to call out is to say call number - say the number -etc.)
When trying to sync the phone book, the screen says ithat phone book import has started, but after several minutes you check phonebook and get the blurb "phone book not available"

I like most everything about my new v five, except the low profile tires. The ride is noisy and rough, especially compared with the Camry LE we traded and the Tacoma, of course, which we still drive.

2003 Jetta. She has worn out front 225/45-17's on right now. From what I can tell, these would still work but I want to make sure on here. Not really worried about a slight speedometer speed change or slightly more sidewall compared to rear, just don't want any rubbing issues.

I just bought a used 2009 VW GTI which is a lovely car as you can see from this picture:[URl]. As you can also see from that picture I live in one of the many snowy states. The roads now resemble the lunar surface except with deeper craters and potholes. When I bought the car, I was stupid enough to be talked into a $500 5 year warranty. Or was I? I've driven the car for almost a month and have replaced 2 tires due to pothole damage. At this rate, I'm way ahead on the warranty. The car has 18" low profile tires which seem sensitive to being banged into the rim of potholes. Is there something about my driving that's causing this issue? I don't really speed and the last blowout happened at around 30mph. Is this something I just have to live with? Can I replace the tires w/ normal tires?

During the last few months I noticed that I could no longer charge my Verizon Cell phones (the original Droid and the most recent Samsung). Interestingly, the phones vibrate when connected and display the icon that it is charging. However, after 6 hour trips, the phones are not charged at all. I have tried plugging the chargers into both the places where these chargers can be plugged into. Neither work. Initially I thought it was my charger and bought another one. No luck. So I bought a third charger at another store. Still no charging.
Then my wife and also my daughter connected their phones to the various chargers in my 2006 Prius and in each case it stated that the phone was charging but they did not charge. Then I connected the same phones to the same charger and to the cigarette lighter in my Mercedes. The phone charged. Same with my wife's phone. Clearly, this has something to do with my 2006 Prius. My dealer determined that the voltage from charger is 9.5 volts when the car is not running and that the voltage is 14.5 volts when the car is running. how to determine what is causing this odd behavior?

The guy that I use to rebuild my batteries has recently commented that most of the bad cells he has replaced have been on the driver's side of the battery farther away from the cooling fan. He has since started rotating the cells as preventive maintenance as part of the rebuilding process.
I am interested in other peoples experience regarding where they are finding the defective cell/cells.
