How to twist or pull the factory connector stored in the rear bumper, for hitch install. I see a small gray clip somehow attached to the barrel connector, but it doesn't seem to want to release.

I've searched and it seems like most of the answers were check with a meter to see, but trying every possible combination of conditions, lights on/off, doors open/closed, key in/out has left me frustrated and confused, and I'd rather be certain, than keep doing hit or miss.

I do quite a bit of night driving and I'd like to remove the tint on the drivers window as well as the passenger window. Is this even possible? I fear the glass was 'smoked' when manufactured and going back to completely clear glass will require a totally new window.

View 4 RepliesI have searched high and low, and I cannot find how to replace the factory low beam projector style headlight bulb on my wife's 2013 Tiguan SEL. It came with the factory LED style HID lights. There were a ton of videos and how to's for the regular Tiguan headlight replacement, and for aftermarket Ebay LED ones, but I can find anything about how to replace the factory low beam projector bulb, other than "take it to a dealer". My thinking is 'if the dealer can do it, so can I'! There has got to be a way. I can't get the wire bulb retainer loose, or get the bulb out of the headlight housing.

What i'm trying to do is get the chrome to black but cannot figure out a safe way to remove them to either wrap in black vinyl, paint or just replace with black strips. View 10 RepliesSo I'm trying to remove the rear bumper cover on a '15, but it has been a royal pain. I went in thinking that the procedure would be similar to what it is on the '14, but it is way more involved. The biggest issue I'm having is removing the large plastic triangular side bracket. It has these weird T-nuts fastened to the body, which you cant remove, and the whole thing looks like it would need to slide upwards to get it off, but you wouldn't have enough room because the shape of the body just gets in the way.

Then the rest is easy. Make sure to clamp or put a bucket under the washer fluid hose if you have the headlight cleaner option. Fitment of these splitters are almost 100%. right side was perfect, left side has a slight gap but its like 1mm ... very small.
Just line it up, and drill 3 holes on the bottom and 1 on the side. The splitters came with screws and some fasteners. Easy to install. I put some 3M adhesive tape as well just in case . I stuck some Heavy Duty industrial velcro strips on the underside in case i rub.

For example I have been told that on the sixth generation Camry you have to remove the bumper to change the turn signal bulb. I have never had to deal with this, just what I have been told.
