Is there any way to change the Album/Folder from the steering wheel controls?, It seems like you can only change tracks.
Is there button to change the Album/Folder from the RNS510, I mean one button you can press to change the album, not going through the menus.
I have the Premium 8 stereo in my '13 Tig. SE and when streaming music via Bluetooth on my iPhone 5S, the album art does not display on the head unit. It does not make a difference whether it is iHeart Radio, Pandora, iTunes Radio, Tune in Radio or straight off the iPhone 5 hard drive. The album art displays just fine when I am listening to HD radio.

View 14 RepliesI have a 2012 Passat with RNS510 nav radio and it just started losing Sat Nav reception. I will Start it up and it will have say 5-7 satellites out 10 and slowly the number will drop to 0 and sometimes the nav will show me off road and in fields sometimes in another city. I was told it was the antenna.
View 1 RepliesMy mother-in-law just bought a 2009 Tiguan, and she's just over 5k miles. I looked in the owner's manual, and in booklet 1.1, page 37, it looks like service is every 5k miles, just like on my A4 and my wife's Passat. However, the dealer is telling me that VW recommends 10k service on the Tiguan. What am I missing? Is the dealer wrong? Am I misunderstanding the Owner's Manual?

View 4 RepliesThe backup camera defaults to normal backup mode and you have to manually select the parking assist functionality. Is there a way to change the default operation to the parallel parking mode? I have looked in the owner's manual and can't find the information. I will admit that I could have missed the information, but I don't think I have.

View 6 RepliesI use my iphone via bluetooth to play my music and podcasts. If it's wireless I have no control over the folders through the audio controls. I have to manually go through the folders on my phone to cue up what I want to play. Which seems counter productive. I can skip forward to the next song and pause/play but that's it. If I have it plugged into the USB I can control the folders when I am in ipod mode. But it wont let me play it. I then have to switch to BTA to play it. Then back to ipod if I want a different folder or playlist.
View 8 RepliesI have a 2015 SportWagen S (Same radio as the Golf. This forum gets more traffic) and I had a few questions about the radio that I keep finding differing answers on. I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 9. I'm disappointed that the contact pictures don't work, but it seems that's an iPhone thing. I'm a little more disappointed that the album art doesn't work with my iPod connected with the MDI cable. I found some stuff about the file extension or size being the issue, but no definitive answers. Am I doing something wrong? I can't understand how VW could design a radio that doesn't work with what is overwhelmingly the most popular media player in the world. otherwise the radio is pretty impressive. Leaps and bounds above the one in my old '14 GLI. I only wish I could have gotten the '16 with CarPlay, but the '15 was a much better deal.

View 4 RepliesI drive a 2012 Prius Two without the GPS or e-tunes. I also use a Samsung Galaxy S3 on Jellybean.
So far I've been able to get the music information to display on the navigation unit (artist, album, song) but it just shows a little box where the album art will be (bluetooth or usb logo). The information also only displays if I use the "Play Music" app on my phone, other apps (Doubletwist, Fusion, Winamp) will play the song, but won't show the info. I most of all just want the album art to display though.
I borrowed a friend's iPhone 3GS and tested it with Bluetooth and USB. Bluetooth would play the song but would not show any album art, or song information.
I've tried about 5 different phones with different OSes, and none of them show album artwork.

Once I attempt to play the music on my RX, the same album title is repeated many times and the songs are split into different folders. Why that's happening?
View 4 RepliesI have the jukebox, sync and large screen backup cam in dash. When I play a commercially made CD, I see the album cover on the screen. So we downloaded some .MP3 format albums from internet on USB stick that come with a .jpeg file containing the album cover. When playing, the system sees the album and track names, and they are callable by voice command & all working fine, but how do we link the visual album cover to be picked up on screen? Does it require a special file name or must it reside in a special standard directory structure to be seen?

I've had the car for 2 years and this I the first time I tried using it. Do you state the album name, the artist name, or the song name? Does it have to be listed by file number?

View 3 RepliesI just got a new 2015 toyota camry with 9k miles tonight! i have the basic entune setup without the apps library thing. i noticed while i was playing lindsey sterling during my drive home that the album covers are not showing up. instead, the device icon displays on usb, bluetooth, and fm radio. The album cover box is checked on the settings screens so it is enabled. disabling and then enabling it doesn't work.
I looked through the manual and nothing seems to indicate of a way to get the album cover to really show up. i have all my music files properly tagged and the album covers came up just fine on my pioneer touchscreen radio installed in my recently sold 2001 infiniti qx4. Do I have to do a re-tag of my files to get the album covers to work or is there another workaround to this?
Just got my new 2012 GTI with touchscreen radio, I think it's the RCD-510. I've noticed with my iPod plugged into the MDI, all of a sudden, i can't actually browse by artist or album. I was able to browse by artist a few days ago when I first got it (I know this because I was putting on some beastie boys in honor of MCD passing), but as of yesterday when I try to browse by artist or album, instead of getting the list of artists or albums to select, the radio just goes back to the screen that shows whatever song is currently playing.
For some reason, I'm able to browse by playlist and song, but to by artist or album. I've tried unplugging the iPod (it's an iPod touch) to no avail.
I had my oil changed at 40,000. I am at 42,500 right now . My " change oil soon light " . Seem like a little soon ! Plus I am 5 hours from home on a ski trip. I have checked oil level it fine. Will I be fine to drive it home 5 hours back to my local dealership for oil change? Or should I find a place up here? What would cause the light to come on so soon ? I am new to this truck . My old 7.3 did not have all the BS that this truck has .
View 6 RepliesCircumstances required me to make an emergency trip to Phoenix this week. On the way down, I first got the "Oil change soon" warning, followed by the "Oil change required" message a few hundred miles later.
I religiously keep my truck serviced on time, and have never had either of these warnings come up before. My truck had 2700 miles on it since last service was done when this first warning came up. My truck gets very little idle time, so it's not sitting idling for hours a day.
My question is, is this oil change message a result of an actual oil monitoring sensor that measures oil quality on-the-fly, or is it strictly based on a miles or odometer timer that gets reset when dealer changes the oil?
At this point I'm wondering if the kid that serviced my truck either forgot to reset a timer, or worse, just "pencil whipped" my oil change. I have to call my home dealer back, since the service manager wasn't in yet when I called.
