Tiguan :: 2012 - Turns Over / Clicks And Grinds Loudly Then Shuts Down

6 weeks ago my 2012 Tiguan, that I had only had for 7 months) was hit. I was sitting at a light and rear ended. Has been in shop getting the almost 10K damaged fixed while I drove a rental. Most of damage was to the rear drivers side and underneath as it messed up tire and all connected parts underneath. Body man was excellent and ordered all new parts and it looks perfect with no alignment issues, (which I was most worried about). I was so happy to get my Tiguan back home but it was short lived. Drove home, about 70 miles, then another 60 during the day and all was find except a little noise under the hood.

This noise is pretty normal as the Tiguan is somewhat loud going up hill and such. Later that evening we go in to leave and it wouldn't start. Just turns over and clicks/grinds somewhat, loudly then shuts down. Hasn't started in 2 days now. Right before we parked it the check engine light came on and the fuel was a bit low, but not empty. We added more gas, checked oil, etc. Three lights come one when you try to start it, battery, engine, and EPC. We have used a scanner and received codes for POO16 Crank Shaft Position/CAm Shaft position correlation/bank 1 sensor A. Not sure what to do at this point because it could be several different things and the nearest dealer is 75 miles away.

Accent LC (2000-05) :: Engine Turns Over Once Then Clicks Loudly A Few Times - Coil Pack Faulty

I have a 2001 Accent GL DOHC 1.5L (which I believe is the same as your LC model).

One night it started running poorly - missing, bad acceleration - like it was only running on 3 out of 4 cylinders. It was missing whilst idling and would backfire and struggle to accelerate. I took it to a mechanic and they said I needed a new coil pack. So I bought a coil pack from a 2nd hand wreckers that looked pretty good, the car idled better but accelerated worse, like it was only running on 2 cylinders .

So I swapped it back to the old coil pack - and now it wont even start. The engine turns over once then clicks loudly a few times - I think the clicking is from the distributor.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2001 TDI Clicks Or Grinds With No Start

2001 Jetta 1.9 TDI that won't start! For the past few months, starting the car has been hit or miss. I started by changing the battery, later the starter, then later the glow plugs. Each item seemed to get it start. When I say "hit", the car started fine as long as it was plugged in when cold. And "miss", the car clicks or grinds with no start.

After I changed the glow plugs it didn't miss at all for a couple weeks (the outside weather has been getting warmer too). Then it started missing on and off, and now wont start at all.

Here is a video - the sound it makes during the second attempt (clicks then winds) has been common since not long after changing the starter. [URL] ..... The car is being boosted during the video.

Some extra information: about a month ago I notice the coolant was a little low (added less than a cup of G12), a few years back the car, had some half diesel and half gas ran through it. The car has 350,000 kms..

Prius (2004-09) :: 2007 - HID Headlight Turns Off / Battery Clicks While Hitting Brakes?

Relatively new Prius owner. I have a 2007 Touring model. I have two concerns I'm hoping some veterans can address for me.

1. I noticed last night that my left HID headlight turns off randomly (I saw it in the reflection of the car in front of me). I turned off the lights and turned them back on, and the headlight was working again for about 5 minutes before turning off again. This consistently happens so I'm pretty much driving with only one headlight on. The right headlight isn't having this problem, luckily.

Looks like Toyota had a settlement over the issue. I would post a link but since I'm a new users it's not allowing it.

Prius Plug-in 2012-15 :: Engine Started Revving Loudly On Occasions

I bought a new 2014 Prius plug-in base model two weeks ago. No problems until yesterday.

The engine has started revving really loudly on occasion. It's much louder than the normal ICE noise in hybrid mode - 2 or 3x as loud (much louder than our regular Honda Civic engine).

When the revving happens when I'm in EV mode, the EV mode light on left side of dash stays on (but it's clearly not in EV mode). The EV and Eco symbols above the power bar go blank. The MPG won't go above 25 mpg, no matter if I'm not touching the accelerator. Switching from EV to Hybrid mode and back does nothing.

The only way to get it to stop is to stop the car, turn it off, turn it back on, and then it's fine - EV or Hybrid mode, it sounds normal again. I have not tried to drive more than a mile with the noise to see if it goes away. It occurs when:

-If the fan, heat or defrost is on when I turn the car on - turning them off doesn't stop the revving.
-If I switch the fan, heat or defrost on when stopped at a light - turning off doesn't stop it. (But it doesn't happen if I turn heat or defrost on while moving in EV or Hybrid mode.)
-If I switch from EV to Hybrid mode while stopped at a light.

The weather is cooler now and I'm fine with the ICE starting to warm up the engine, the compartment, etc, but the revving noise doesn't seem normal.

Ford - Mustang :: 2012 - Passenger Front Brake Squeals Loudly Right Before Coming To A Stop

I have a new 2012 mustang GT with just under 5000 miles (no brembo package). For the first 3-5 stops, the passenger front brake squeals loudly right before coming to a stop, then goes away for a while. Intermittently, while the car is warm, it will squeal very loudly at low speeds when coming to a stop (10mph). The car does not pull and the stopping power doesn't seem to be affected. I've taken it to the dealership, they say they can't reproduce the sound. They resurfaced the rotor and claim that nothing is wrong with the brakes, but the resurfacing did nothing to fix the problem.

Tiguan :: Shuts Off Randomly Whilst Driving

I bought my daughter a Tiguan late last year, new 2012 model and since she has had it she has been having a serious problem. Whilst driving it randomly just shuts off and you have to restart it. AS you can expect this is extremely dangerous! Have had it back to the dealer now on two occasions and they cant find anything wrong, nor is their any error codes produced in the ECU.

Tiguan :: 2009 - Intermittent Start / Engine Shuts Off

I've got an intermittent issue with a 2009 Tiguan. Sometimes when starting (engine either warm or cold) almost as soon as letting go of the key, the engine will shut off. Multiple attempts to get it started result in the same issue, then for some reason it will start and run. There does not seem to be a pattern as to when it doesn't start.

The first time the dealer replaced the fuel pump control module, then when it happened again they said it was the fuel filter. It has now happened a third time.

Toyota - Celica :: 2001 - Engine Turns On But Then It Shuts Off Immediately

I have a 2001 Toyota Celica gt, and I had a accident on the front of the car. The only things needed to be replaced was the radiator and the Intake manifold.The car wasn't drivable for about 3 months, but within those 3 months I was able to work on replacing the radiator and the intake manifold ( which a crack on it). Now that I finished working on the car, the engine turns on but then it shuts off immediately. Everything was replace properly, I just don't understand.

2004 Passat 1.8T, I was driving down a highway in my hometown, my odometers got stuck, gauge lights turned off, Radio and air control lights dimmed fully, everything else works. i get home check my fuse box-fine, check my battery connection-fine. try to turn my car back on and the engine starts but then it shuts off, the gauge lights still wont turn on and the odometers are still stuck. So I check the wires under the driver floor-not corroded or water damaged or loose. I take it to the (gas station) shop down the street from my house. They have no idea whats wrong. possibly immobilizer, possibly a security mode my car is stuck in, possibly my car isnt recognizing my cars, sounds like my computer wont talk to my car.... They said its over their head (obviously).

Accent RB (2012+) :: Beep From Engine And Relay Clicks After Oil Change

I have myself changed the oil and filter in my Accent 2013 for the 1st time; after the change everything looked fine, no alarm lights, oil level is OK, no leakages, etc.

However. when I turn off the car I hear beeps coming from the engine, I hear relay clicks and after some seconds the sounds disappear.

When I had the oil changed at an oil shop, this didn't happen. Again, I see no alarms on the driver panel.

Tiguan :: Clanking / Knocking Noise Going Through Right Turns

Just want to share a problem I recently noticed on my Tiguan. Its a 2010 4motion I bought March last year and currently has 19000km.

Lately I noticed it makes a clanking sound in the front area as I accelerate off a right turn. It always does it on right turns and on rare occasions on left turns as well.

It doesn't do it if I turn right coming from a complete stop and happens only when I slow down coming up to a right turn and it makes the sound as I accelerate.

Honda - Pilot :: 2006 - Radio / Entire Dash Turns Off For 2 Seconds Or All Electrical Off And Car Shuts Down

While driving 1 of 3 issues occur... radio will click off for 2 seconds, entire dash turns off for 2 seconds (car continues to run), or all electric clicks off and car shuts off. If left to sit for a few minutes car will restart. Will occur a bunch of times in one trip and then not for a week. Does not seem to depend on type of driving or weather conditions. Honda cant seem to figure out and until the yesterday they blew me off. Yesterday, the anti-theft actually locked out the radio, so at least they could see "something" occurred.

I have a 2003 Honda Accord that I bought used two years ago. Lately, when it rains heavily, the battery light on the dash turns on and the power steering shuts off. I've had to pull over a couple of times. The problem only happens when I drive over 20 mph, solves itself within a minute after I stop, and never happens when it's dry outside. I think the problem has to do with splash from water on the road. What's going on, and how I can fix it? It's pretty dangerous.

Prius Plug-in 2012-15 :: Car's Bluetooth Just Shuts Off?

It will sync for about 10-30 seconds, then the car's Bluetooth just shuts off. It's not my phone, as the BT on my phone is working with everything else. I have unpaired, re-paired, shut everything down. It starts up again for that 10-30 seconds, and then it shuts off. Do I need to take it to the dealer?
