View 2 RepliesMy wife's TPMS light came on yesterday, I checked the tire pressures this AM and set them all to 38psi, one wheel was down a few PSI, and went for a drive. everything seems fine.
TPMS light is still on, this is a canadian trendline w/4motion.
I do not have MFSW but I do seem to have the full MFD. The manual says to reset via the settings menu which I cannot access. no combination of button pushing on the cluster or control stalk will give me the settings menu. I do not see a button in front of the shift lever or in the glove box like other models have.
i just got the vag cables, and i dont know how to use it that well yet. how to disable the tpms light , and the mfd low tire pressure.

View 4 RepliesI have a 2006 Passat 3.6 Tiptronic and am looking to get wheels without the TPMS on them. How to use the vagcom to disable it? I saw posts for a T reg but no passats....
View 6 RepliesHow can I get rid of that stupid light "tire pressure too low" how to disable both the light and the message on dash??
View 5 RepliesI have a full size factory spare tire in the trunk and my TPMS is constantly saying the tire is flat or whatever, of course it's not, and of course I've set the correct tire pressure and of course I've recalibrated the system to no avail. I get an exclamation point on the screen for that tire only.
I want to disable monitoring of that tire ONLY. It does me no good since I have aftermarket rims/tires anyway so a flat means bad news for me right now. I don't need to have that spare monitored until I get an aftermarket 5 rim (which probably won't fit in that space anyway.
Just got my new wheels and tires from Tire Rack installed on my little Tojo, the TPMS light is now on all the time. I'm thinking black tape. Any way to disable it?
View 9 RepliesMy cluster went on the fritz and i bought a used one off ebay. (caused dome light to randomly come on and off as well as same thing with the brake light). Any ways I did some research and searching for compatibility in swapping clusters, my truck is an 06 f150 5.4 chrome package. The cluster I bought was from 07-08 but the look identical. Anyways I hook it up and everything works fine, all gauges warning lights everything. The only problem is that i have a tire pressure light on that flashes and stays steady.
My 06 wasn't even equipt with the tpms system, not sure how it even has power for the indicator light now. I know from what i been reading that its "illegal" / dealer wont turn it off, but for me its really doing no good just an annoyance since I don't have tpms. My question is is there a way on the cluster i can make it go out, i realize there is no bulb for the warning lights like in older vehicles or maybe a wire that feeds to it? Or possibly something i can do to the circuit board to make it stop? Looking for a cluster schematic?
Is there a way to disable the Tire Pressure Monitor System? I want to drop the pressure in my tires when it is not loaded but annoying sensor keeps going off.
View 14 RepliesMy gf calls me today to tell me her tire pressure light is on. She's only had it a month! Not even! Is this a common occurance? It has been bitterly cold here the past few days, could that be a factor? I don't see any reason for the light to come on less than a month into having the vehicle.
View 13 RepliesMy Tig came with 17's ... I purchased 19" Savannahs but now my TPMS is on.
I pumped up the PSI to 38 even and its on still ( blinks for a min then solid on ).
Is this likely needing resetting? One dealer told me the sensors may need changing?
Wife picked up this basic model for my daily driving to work. It does not have MFD or compass but a simple display menu. Recently I encounter some trouble on tire pressure and TPMS triggered. I was told to reset it by myself. Unfortunately, mine is basic S model and there is no MFD or reset button in glove box. Manual said using MFD. Any way to reset without going to dealership on Tiguan S model?
View 4 RepliesI've installed six LED bulbs in the rear of my 2011 Tiguan (brake and running) and now the "bulb out" warning light comes on intermittently.
I don't need to solve this via resistors, new relay, etc. I just want to disable the warning light. Do this can be done via VAG-COM?
Had my winter tires put on today and the tpms warning light came on. Tire pressure is ok. Never had this issue before with these tires/wheels. This would be the third winter with them. Is there a way to reset the warning light on a 2010? I have read about doing this on later models but nothing on the 2010. I do not have vagcom tools. Hoping I do not have to take to dealer.
View 4 RepliesFirst cold day of the year today and naturally my TPMS light came on. Checked the pressures with my own gauge, all at 34 psi. Inflated them all to 38psi and the TPMS light is still on. Drove a little ways - still on. Checked pressures again - still 38psi. I had this happen once before in mid-winter two years ago and I can't remember what I had to do to reset the TPMS light. Mine isn't one of the ABS/ESP systems so I don't have a reset button - I need to do something with the VAGCOM but I don't recall what.
What's weird is that the TPMS threshold should be 7psi per wheel shouldn't it? And my light came on when it was only 4psi down. Is there somewhere I can check and find out what the ECU thinks the threshold is - again with my VAGCOM?
2010 Tiguan 4MO
I have 2010 Tig, for the last 2 days, the TPMS on the MFD will stay displayed until I press down on the brake pedal, then it goes out, is this the sign on some problem?
View 5 RepliesI just picked up a 2013 Tiguan 4motion. The doors lock after a few yards of driving. Can I disable this 'feature'? I've had other German cars do this but it was always easy to find in the user manual how to override the default.
View 1 RepliesI have a problem with my TPMS ,light is always on ,a technician has told me that i have a camry 2012 TPMS on my tiers which doesn't work on camry 2009. Is that right?

Month or so a go, my TPMS light came on. I checked the tires and they looked ok, and pressure was close to 32 psi which is recommended (pressure sticker on the door jamb). Tried resetting multiple times following the instructions provided in the user manual by pressing the TPMS reset button located in the glove compartment. Light still on. Tried clearing with VAG-COM and no success. Keeps saying check your tires and light is on.
I have read on various posts to pump the tires to 37-40psi. Tried that and no luck. Then I found someone saying on the forums that there is an issue where the TPMS gets some how recoded to 5.5 bar instead of 2.3 bar and that is why the light wont go away. How to recode TPMS to correct value
I have two Remote car keys for Toyota Camry 2012 vehicle. I lost one of them. I am worried if someone has that key and they can steal my car without breaking. FYI, I used to park in the Railway station where the parking is not secured.
I am thinking of two ways. One is to disable the lost remote key, so that no one can use it. Second way is to deactivate the remote sensors in the car so that no can lock or unlock the car with the remote. Just lock and unlock it manually.
