Taurus :: Condensation On Lower Part Of Inner Windshield
May 21, 2014
On the lower part of the windshield I get condensation. So the cool windshield blower takes it off. But what causes that? Mine is a Ford Taurus 2010 SEL.

View 1 RepliesAbout a month ago, I traded my 04 V6 for an 07 V6. Everything was fine except that this morning I turned on the A/C for the first time (had been in Econ) and what happens? Condensation on the lower portion of the windshield just like in the 04.
View 3 RepliesI have noticed here lately that I seem to be getting fog/condensation on my windshield. It goes up about 4-5 inches and stops. Is there a seal that I can check?
View 7 RepliesI've noticed that often in the morning, my Touareg has condensation forming on the inside of the front winshield. I don't drive the vehicle daily. I have looked for a moisture source inside of the vehicle but it is bone dry.
View 3 RepliesAs stated in the title I'm having condensation on the inside of the windshield, but I only notice it when I get off work and go out to start my car (I work second shift and get off at 11:30pm) but when i go out in the morning or afternoon I don't notice any. I pretty much roll everywhere with my windows up so I'm not getting rain in it other than when i open the doors to get in and out.
View 6 RepliesLooking for a solution to the windshield condensation problem found in humid states. I took my Touareg in for the TSB but it has not worked much.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2006 Sonata and has trouble with the windshield seal or if it is usually just sunroof issues.
View 3 RepliesI'm getting condensation on my windshield and on not even blowing air there..
Also my car air vents smells. Tried to clean it twice with Klimaclean foam spray but both times, no water came out from under the car.
I've come to the conclusion that the drain plug is clogged. Where he drain plug is located? It's easier for me to look for it if I kind of have a general location rather than to search the entire car.
I have only 3 days with my new Treg and I cannot make the A/C to stop blowing cool air off the upper vent into the windshield. So the cold air makes condensate water on the outside and I have to use the wipers to wipre it out, appearing again in few seconds. The A/C settings are either AUTO at 70F or manual and making sure the air is directed to the front.
View 18 RepliesLooking for the Part No. for the exterior plastic cover at the bottom of the front windshield. Mine is cracked on the front passenger side. Not sure what it's called but only a portion is exposed...the rest is hidden below the hood and it's attached via clips and (4) screws.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2005 Pontiac Vibe with almost 50,000 miles. Lately it's been making a very small noise that seems to be located at the lower part of the car just in front of the driver...I will have difficultly describing it, but it's sort of like huhmmm. It was only happening every once in a while, but is now more frequent. If I had my radio on, I would not hear it as it is not particularly loud. It happens when I driving...ie foot on gas... but not necessarily when I speed up or slow down.
View 1 RepliesI just got a new clutch and clutch slave cylinder in my 1998 Ford Explorer. Driving it home from the mechanic, I'm hearing a sputtering sound coming from what seems to be the lower part of the engine compartment. It sounds like a VW Bug exhaust. I've never heard this sound before. It's troubling that it has appeared now immediately following a repair. I presume there is a outside possibility that it's not the mechanics doing, but that seems improbable. (The engine was revving high right before the clutch blew out last week, so maybe those brief high revs caused some damage? I can't imagine that being the case.) Or was there something in the clutch repair process that could have resulted in this?
I made a recording of the sound here.......
Last couple of days I've been chasing a small oil leak. Finally figured out it's coming from one of the hoses connected to the lower part of the hpop (hpop hose). Leak is coming from the fitting connected to the lower part of hpop. Do I need to replace the whole hose and fitting? Just the fitting? is there a replaceable washer or oring?
View 10 Replies2000 Passat windshield was replaced yesterday by an independent service station after being hit by a rock on Rt 22 in New Jersey. The new windshield is made by XYG (Made in China). The lower half of the windshield has incredible distortion -- looks like a fun house mirror. I've never had any kind of problem like this with any vehicle I've ever owned. I will, of course, call the repair shop tomorrow morning.
View 1 RepliesThat tiny strip of glass under the rear spoiler is so poorly designed. Dirt got trapped on it so easily and it gets worse in the rain, it's like frosted glass.
View 19 RepliesI would like to monitor the windshield washer fluid level on our '03 Ford Taurus. Unfortunately, the fill nozzle goes underneath a piece of the chassis and I can't tell where it goes or where the reservoir is located. The manual was of no use whatsoever. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I'm stumped.
View 9 RepliesI have the '05 V8.
The crack seems to originate at the lower right corner of the rear view mirror assembly contact point and spreads out in four opposing directions including two to the top edge of the glass. I could find zero chips on the outside of the glass at the nexus point of the crack. I also did not get hit in the windshield while driving -- not that I noticed anyway.
We went to the opera at night drove it home and noticed no damage and parked in the garage. The next day I went to the garage and noticed the crack (the cracks are about 8 inches long or so). The garage was very hot.
Is it POSSIBLE, and are there any reports of this happening, that the heat or something else caused the rearview mirror assembly to torque and crack the windshield or am I dreaming that I can blame VW and I just must have missed the crack when I drove home and it happened some other way.
1998 Subaru Forester with a weird clutch problem. Clutch works fine in cold weather, but for the last 3 summers when driving in city traffic, the clutch gets spongy and starts to catch lower and lower to the floor. Car has about 125,000mi bought it 2 years ago and don't know when or if the clutch was ever replaced.
View 4 RepliesWould bad lower front ball joints freeze and creak when turning. I have noticed that my car(2010GLS) with 108k miles has a creaking sound when turning the wheels left to right. I poked a hole in the rubber boot covering the joint and sprayed WD 40 in there and now it seem to creak even more. Guess I am going to replace the l and r lower ball joints.
View 9 RepliesI am the proud owner of a 2004 Touareg-V8 with everything but 4C. I love it...but have the usual condensation problem and shimmy at 60 mph plus....
View 12 RepliesWhat would be causing this? Might it be something wrong on when the front end was installed after my IC swap?
