View 2 RepliesI have a 1997 Toyota Tacoma 3.4L ... After having some problems a week ago with the truck dieing at every stop sign or any time my foot wasn't on the gas. Eventually the truck would not start at all. I finally got a CEL that gave me P3040 (Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction) So I changed out the sensor and the truck fired right up and ran for 3 days.. Now the truck does not start again and I am getting the same CEL code.

View 2 RepliesI've got a 2001 f150 XLT and I've checked the Haynes manual and searched Google but I'm having no luck.
I'm trying to locate the sensor for the Automatic Head Lights.
I had a small "spill" on the dash at night and immediately the lights started to blink and click. It fixed itself but sometimes it will do a weird little "click, click noise" change thing. I would like to clean the sensor or ensure it's not partially blocked.
Where exactly is the coolant temp sensor located on a 2000 F-150 4.6 V-8.
View 5 RepliesMy '03 Tacoma Prerunner V6 has 116K miles and recently lit up its Check Engine light, returning a code for a failed up-stream air/fuel sensor. I recently drove across country, using many different fuel formulations ranging from CA gas to midwest ethanol to whatever they put in the gas here in the NY-NJ area (a mystery ingredient that seems to turn motorists irate and confuse their horn as a turn signal.)Anyway- age, or fuel, what killed the sensor? If fuel, will it happen again by time I get back west?

View 1 RepliesAre these easily accessible? I have to replace both sensors in my 04 4.2 and was curious if they are easy to replace. I could not find and detailed info. Also any tips when replacing these and purchasing 2 sensors?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 Camry Hybrid with ~150k miles, 4-cyl engine and last week the water temp gauge starting fluctuating erratically...going from extremely hot to cold and vice versa. It eventually tripped the check engine light and autozone said it was p0117 - Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Circuit Low Input. At one point the engine was really shaking the whole car. I haven't driven the car as a result.
I have ordered a new ECT sensor and it should arrive this week. the problem is I can't find where the sensor is located... I have looked all over this forum, google, the internet, nothing. I have looked in a Chilton's manual but it doesn't have a diagram.
Where is the ambiant outside air temp sensor located on the Phaeton? I know it is located under the outside left or right mirror (based on model year) on a Volvo but not sure where it is on the Phaeton. No problems, just curious.

View 3 RepliesLooking for the location of the coolant sensor.
I'm pretty sure I have a faulting coolant sensor. Light comes on with a message in the MFI indicating coolant is low, but when I check, its at the maximum line on the overflow reservoir. So I assume the sensor is not accurate/faulting.
Spoke to my service advisor who said the sensor is attached to the reservoir and you buy it all as one item, sensor and reservoir combined.
I've also seen threads that indicate it's a stand alone sensor toward the back of the engine compartment.
Need to confirm either of these as being accurate locations for the sensor? Is there more than one?
Trying to replace the post cat O2 but not sure if I have the right location. Looking for a diagram?
View 9 RepliesI am a newbie Golf owner and have little trouble. I am not sure where is the map sensor located in my 1.8 tsi engine. I've been googling and have not found pic or technical drawing to be 100% proof which one is it.
View 2 RepliesI have a 1997 toyota tacoma. The truck runs great. Last year I replaced the front calipers and breakpads. I drive the truck maybe 3,000 miles per year. The issue I have is that the brake light will not turn off. I checked the hand brake and it works fine. The switch on the handbrake is fine too. The really unusual thing is that randomly it will turn off. usually around 30-40MPH or when I have slammed on the brake. The brake fluid is fine. Is there a sensor in the rear on the rear pads that I may need to replace?

View 1 RepliesDon't know the location of the MAP sensor for a 2008 Elantra 4-dr (HD)? I'm reading a DTC P1100, which indicates a manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor malfunction. The Haynes manual refers to this only being necessary for the previous model Elantra.
