Ok .. Airbag warning light is on..... And won't go off i have taken battery off try reset that way nothing. Also steering wheel lights are off...
Only thing working on instruments on steering wheel is the left side is the radio and phone and volume and mode right side of steering wheel not working but nothing is illuminated!!!!???? On wheel
I have a 2011 F150 supercrew 4x4 5.0, it has almost 8k miles. I have looked around online to see if this is a common issue but haven't found anything really. The airbag warning light in the instrument cluster will come on and stay on randomly. Some days it only lights up when I start the truck, other days it will turn on and stay on until I restart the truck. I think I have a glitch or a malfunction in a switch somewhere with the Airbag system. I will be calling the dealership about it after we finish the Easter Weekend.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata that has the "Air Bag" light (Red indicator in the instrument panel). This is not the amber indicator for the passenger side air bag sensor. There is also an error code "B1706-Passenger Buckle Pretensioner Voltage High". Is this the "Female" part of the passenger side seatbelt buckle (i.e. the part that is attached to the left side of the seat)? Most of what I've seen on the web is referencing that part. Am I on the right track?
View 19 RepliesThis is for my gf's 2010 sonata. The instrument cluster stopped working but then after a couple days it started again. Once again it stopped working. This time I checked the fuse and it was fine, there was power going to it. I was able to get it to start working again by disconnecting the battery. I hate electrical shorts. I have done some research but haven't come up with anything other than re-seat the cluster or replace it. I plan on doing that the next time it stops working. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the ignition, but i really don't know.
Engine codes are P0011/P0014/P0462
The P0011/P0014 are, i think, the oil control valve. I ordered that.
The P0462 code has to do with low voltage to the fuel level sensor, but the gas gauge has worked fine, well other than when none of the gauges work. Still I don't think it relates to cluster problem.
2006 Sonata 3.3 (NF series). A few days ago the instrument cluster and LCD odometer stopped working.
The dash cluster lights up, warning lights flash on at start up just no indication of speed, fuel level, tach, or temp.
Fuse is good & has power to it. I re-seated all the connectors under the dash. No luck.
So I'm driving my kids to school, and this light pops up on the dash (with a chime, of course). So for fun, I had my son pull out the owners manual and look for it.
It isn't in the manual.. In fact, the book shows NOTHING in that cluster location.
Luckily I got a picture of it, 'cause it disappeared after about 20 minutes.
Bought a VAG cable, got VCDS 12.12.0 running. Found the instrument cluster and changed the region to ROW(rest of world)(I have a US Tiguan). The center screen on the cluster changes( as in F change to C, Miles change to Kilometers, everything is ok). However, after recoding the cluster the airbag, ABS, and ESP warning lights come on. Once I revert all changes back to the US coding, everything is again ok.
View 2 RepliesI own a 2012 Toyota Camry LE (TCLE), and recently I've noticed that the "instrument cluster" shows "MAINT REQD" warning light on for more than a few seconds when I start the car. All other warning lights do turn off while the "MAINT REQD" is still ON for a few seconds more than I usually remember. This car has about 25K miles, and I bought it with 19K miles. Should I take it to a dealer for a check up? By the way, I was waiting until the end of February to take the car for a oil change, but I am now concerned with this stupid WARNING light

View 2 RepliesI have a 2003 F550 6L diesel flatbed truck. Last week, the overdrive button would activate by itself. I'm assuming there was a loose wire so I taped the button to keep the overdrive off. Two days later, the overdrive came on while the button was pressed in and then smoke came out of the steering column/lever area. I pulled over and turned off the truck. The smoke stopped after 10 seconds and I restarted the truck. The overdrive light/functionality no longer worked and the instrument cluster also wasn't working.
The next day I was driving, and the truck died at a stoplight. I got it towed home, and opened the steering column and noticed that the overdrive button wire had burned. I removed the harness clip and charged the batteries. It started but the instrument cluster still didn't work. 2 minutes later the truck died. I replaced the alternator but still it won't charge the batteries. The truck dies 2 mins after getting a battery boost to start the truck. The instrument cluster also doesn't work. What could be causing this issue?
I am on occasion getting a warning on my instrument cluster regarding my locking diff. System Fault!! Workshop!! is displayed. As well the adjustment knob on the center console flashes yellow.
View 11 RepliesToday I had the joy of covering 200+ miles on my W12 today. While I was out and about there were 3-4 times I went around a right hand turn somewhat quickly and a "check please lights" warning appeared on the instrument cluster. At the end of the day I inspected the exterior lights with all working or so it seems. I found it odd that this only appeared during sharp turns to the right.

What causes this? What can I check? Is there really a problem?
The airbag warning light came on last week and stayed on for my hour commute home. Later on that same evening, I took the car out again, and the light was off. Stayed off for about 3 or 4 days and now comes on intermittently. I called the dealership today to try and set something up, and they said if if it's coming on intermittently, check under the seat for anything obstructing the airbag sensor and whatnot. I looked today and found nothing (I keep my car extremely clean) but none the less found no issue. The service advisor from the dealership also said that I need not bring it in unless the light stays on all the time. But I'm insisting on bringing it in in the next few days. I'm just concerned that either the airbags may inflate without cause, or may not inflate in the event of an accident. Should I wait until the light stays on? Going into the service department at my local dealer is always at least a 2 hour ordeal and they don't issue loaner vehicles unless they absolutely have to. I just don't want to waste my time.

View 5 RepliesThe speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, battery meter, temp gauge and idiot lights went out. The car works fine. Dash is just dead. I did a quick look at the fuses in the glove box but it doesn't have the little card to tell fuse locations. So, I can't narrow it down but I don't see any blown fuses.
View 4 RepliesThis happened around 3pm yesterday on Limited 2.0T.
I had Hyundai Navigation going to see what the 3D view looked like (8" display on map fullscreen), along with my iPod Classic playing music. On the instrument cluster, I started cycling quickly through the tabs on the center LCD starting from the MPG/speed page to the navigation page (via the menu button on the steering wheel). I overshot it and cycled through again.
I was doing this very quickly when the whole instrument cluster restarted as if the engine was off and turned back on. The LCD and numbers on speedo and tach completely went out, the needles on speedo and tach went to zero and returned (while cluster was still off), and the cluster did a system check, with all icons displaying for a second then turning off and the System Check screen displaying on center LCD.
In addition, I previously had AUTO HOLD on and when the instrument cluster restarted, AUTO HOLD was displayed in red and could not be turned off or activated (car would not auto hold) and the traction control icon (I believe) stayed on. The main 8" display was unaffected when all this happened.
I was able to turn the car off and back on later and everything seemed fine after. It freaked me out quite a bit, especially when all this happened while I was driving.
I have an issue where the instrument cluster (tach, spedo, fuel, temp, door open indicator, etc) and AC stop working. It only happens under the following conditions and can be reproduced easily. All fuses have been check and are OK.
1.No Gauges
2.Remove and replace Multi-Fuse 20 (which is new and good)
3.Gauges and AC start working again
4.Drive car or start etc. and everything works fine
5.Power off car for exactly 1 min. or more with doors closed
6.Start car and no gauges or AC again
7.If wait less than 1 min. (tested 30 sec. to 59 sec. ) to restart the car and all gauges and AC continue to work fine
Where to start diagnosing.
The instrument cluster settings has not been working and they would not set when i would try to do this.It would go back to the same setting as before.They checked it on the computer and everything would register like it was ok but the computer could not detect the fault.Come to find out it needs a new instrument cluster and that was the fix for it after they took three more Tregs apart to make sure it would either work or not work at all.They all worked except for mine.It is being replaced and shipped overnight.

I just had my oil changed today and while driving home the red airbag light came on in the instrument cluster and the passenger airbag light on the dash started flashing. When I connected the passenger seatbelt the flashing light went off. While in the dealer also tightened some screws in the center console. I have an under the seat subwoofer that is VERY snug...could that have damaged something when the seat was slid back?
