I only have 800 miles on it, it squeaks when on un even roads. also, does your trunk make a noise when opening? like opening a rust door hinge? when do i do? i called dealership, they freaking not responding.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2005 NF sonata elite 4 cylinder 147k on it. have a problem with a squeaking noise when car goes over rough road, bumps or pot holes. Had 2 new shocks put in the front today and got car back but noise was still there but not as frequent. Have returned car and they will take new ones out and put back old ones as they where still ok just wear on them no major issues.

View 4 RepliesI bought this car about three months ago. And got alignment done twice. Thought may be first time he didn't do properly. After alignment second time, having same issue.
Car pulls to left. I have to keep steering wheel pulling to the right all the time. When I leave it. It slightly turns to left. And car starts going to left.
But in even roads it turns to left. Where some roads are tilting to right. Steering wheel turns to left as usual. But car goes straight. If I take my foot of the accelerator it does less. But when I accelerate or have cruise control ON on freeway it does this more.
From home to destination my hand always pulling steering wheel to right. I have also rotated the tyres. Alignment is done twice. What can be the problem.
My 2013 Sonata 2.4L 4cyl is very hard to drive when it's slippery out (snow, ice).
The throttle is so touchy, it just wants to spin as soon as you touch the gas pedal. It's manageable on dry pavement. It has always been like this since new, but this winter there's been so much snow I'm getting a little annoyed by it. Even with traction control I have a hard time making headway from a dead start.
Tires should be OK - only have 12,000 miles on them.
Is there a cure for this issue? Re-mapping EFI??
I am at Hyundai dealership right now, I really wish I don't need to come back for roof noise again, the noise made me feel ' I don't give a about this car anymore', new york has most freaking terrible roads, there are sharp and deep potholes everywhere, causing the car making noise like shooting ak 47, so pissed, i was so outraged and The consequent is I scratched the rim when Cornering, any easy and low budget fix? I would change my rim in two years, but not now.
View 15 RepliesSo I noticed, driving to work today, that there was this loud squeak happening while accelerating. It almost sounds like an old belt, or how old brakes sound when they are to worn. I have no idea where this sound is coming from.
The only thing is it happens ONLY when the RPM's are 2k-2.5k. And ONLY while accelerating. Other than that it doesn't make that noise.
I've tried revving to see if the noise is there. I also tried while moving, to hold the clutch and rev match to that zone and still no noise. It only happens while in gear it seems.
what do i do? i think some parts are lack of lubrication, but which product should i use and where should i spray?

It occurs intermittently and sometimes doesn't occur at all. The more the car is warmed up, the more often it seems to occur. Techs at Hyundai couldn't figure it out. They made me replace the rotors and pads with OEM parts and surprise, surprise, the same exact noise is occurring. I don't see how it can be wheel bearings...there is no rumbling noise or roughness at all. But the squeaking is killing me.
So I started hearing these random squeaking noises coming from the front suspension its what it sounds like. This only happens thou when i drive up into a drive way that is slanted. Or any kind of slow making slanted turns (~5-10mph)
I'm not 100% positive but it sounds like the suspension because it only makes noise when the car moves a little when ever i go up a drive way.
I bought a 2010 prius 3 weeks ago and a squeaking sound came out after driving it for a week. The sound is like a wooden bed not screwed tight being shaken. My prius has 40000 miles on it and the warranty has expired already. I brought it to a toyota dealership and they could not find where the noise is coming from. I decided to bring it back to the dealership I bought it from and they also could not determine where its coming from. They said they need more time to find it. The squeaks often comes out in wavy roads and bumps and in both low and high speeds.

I previously reported to the dealer as a sunroof issue but now I detect that it's coming from the headliner behind the sunroof. It seems that the lining is loose. How I should approach the dealer to explain this? Am I using the right jargon? All my rattles have been eliminated bar this one and it drives me nuts!
View 24 RepliesI bought my 2011 sonata gls last year and it has always had a bit of an issue when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. The best way to describe it would be if someone where dumping the clutch and you get that sudden, hard acceleration with a bit of rev flare and then back down the lower revs. It doesn't do it every time it shifts, but enough that it is very annoying. I've had it in the dealership twice for this issue but I get the same "We can replicate the issue" song and dance. They tell me there is no code, and no history of any code. I had the trans position sensor replaced under warranty late last year.
View 19 RepliesMy 2011 Sonata 2.4L GDI has already 76k miles. Spark plugs were replaced around 75K miles, Air filter was replaced. Fuel treatment was done several time since ownership, Intake CRC for GDI was used once about 2K miles ago. The car is doing good until recently. When I accelerate the car acceleration goes uneven. It is not like hesitating but you feel like the car is taking it in steps. Sometimes the first run in the morning, the car idle feels a little bit rough but that's only in the morning. It has been like that for a month now. What do you think it can be? No Check engine light, no pending codes and nothing major except that. I really suspect a bad upstream oxygen sensor (Air fuel ratio sensor). What do you think?
A look through the intake shows a very clean intake. No signs for any carbon deposit. A Hyundai dealer checked the car and told me there is nothing to worry about. Just told me to buy more Hyundai fuel treatment (AKA Chevron Techron) which was done and still I feel uneven acceleration.
I have noticed with my 2011 Sonata that I am experiencing the reduced power and a bit of*rough*idling from the engine. I noticed an increase in performance after oil changes, then back to the same issues after about 1000 miles. I switched to a synthetic blend and started buying the best filter any of my local shops carry. I then ran some additives recommended and shifted to gas from Shell o However, I am still having the issue.
View 12 RepliesCar intermittently shifts very rough and jerky. Just took on a long vacation trip and every AM when it was cold it shifted hard them smoothed out once warmed up. Got home and now it is doing it all the time. Dealer said do the trans flush...I did it and it made no difference. Is this a common problem with this model? Mileage is 39,800...not sure I want to buy this car at lease end.
View 15 RepliesIs this normal on automatic transmission cars? I've read around the web and some say its normal and some say, before parking, to engage the parking brake first, THEN shift into park. Then when leaving, shift the car into reverse, then release the parking brake.
I follow this process and noticed it doesn't work all the time or make much of a difference. Do I shift into neutral first, then reverse, when leaving, before releasing the parking brake?

My 2011 Sonata SE gets a rough idle when my AC is turned on, and sometimes it produces a whirring noise as I'm driving in low gears. It all goes completely away if I turn my AC off. I'm afraid my AC might go out at an inopportune time. What could it be?
