It was below 0 yesterday morning and when I turned on the car the text which shows radio/clock/temp/etc did not appear. Just the blue highlight background with no text. Did not appear at all even when the car warmed up and has not appeared since. Everything works normally however (CD, Bluetooth, Radio)
Is there any option to reset the display? If not I guess I have to take it in... I have a 2011 Limited without NAV.
I have a 2010 Prius (model III) that has begun doing this thing (just one month after the 3-year warranty expired) where the radio shows garbled stuff when the Prius starts up. It also starts automatically ejecting the CD. Pressing the buttons doesn't work. To fix the problem, you need to restart the Prius.

View 4 RepliesOn our 2012 Sonata all stock, the radio display screen is far dimmer than the rest of the lighting. When putting the lighting at a safe level for night time driving (ie not blinding), the display screen is far too dim. In order to see it, the dash lights need to be almost all up.
Any way to adjust? BTW, the radio knobs and preset lights are fine. It is only the diplay screen. This is NOT an issue on our 2012 Tucson. That one works perfectly. I flipped through all the obvious controls and found nothing
My 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited dimension radio (no nav or touch screen) is not working the display stopped working with no sound coming from the radio. It was cold one night and i shut the car off ran inside turned it back on and then came back out to start it and no sound then next day it came back on then shut back off. and no turn on 3 months later. I only had the car a year this Feb 2016 & of course they are saying nothing can be done. It'll be one thing if the radio just didn't turn on but my display is completely blank. No light no nothing. What was the result?
View 4 RepliesI just purchased a 2012 Toyota Corolla LE. The factory radio has a 'Phone' button on the right hand side of the radio. When I push the button, the display shows 'Unavailable.' What this button is for? With the Blu Logic kit, it has a separate phone button that mounts in the dash knockouts. Can the phone button on the radio be used instead?
View 2 RepliesWhile I drove to and from the dog park yesterday - a total of 25 minutes - several alarming things happened to my 2007 Jetta (2.5L, 4 Dr, single owner = me). On the way there, a yellow icon popped up on the instrument display, and since I'd never seen it before, I looked it up in the manual after we parked and went into the park. It was the power steering icon - not low fluid, but your power steering may stop working, better get it checked. (!) Yellow is the warning, and red with noises is the serious problem level. But it also said sometimes that symbol shows up and then goes away. After 90 minutes in the park, I started the car and it wasn't there. And I didn't feel any problem with the steering. Then, after 3 minutes of very low speed driving, the radio display started to flicker, and the radio popped and then shut off by itself. Then the instrument display that shows the mileage, the tank mileage, the temperature and the time in red numbers started to fade, I noticed the A/C was blowing warm air, and three more icons showed up: the power steering one, the ABS brakes, and another one I didn't recognize. I kept driving because I was in traffic, and then after about 2 - 3 minutes, the A/C got cool, the radio came back on, and the icons went away. I haven't started the car yet today, but it drove all the way home last night with no weird episodes.I was in an accident in June that required both drivers side doors to be replaced and a lot of cosmetic work on the back bumper, but no impact to the engine area or front of the car. Any thoughts on what's causing this? I have a long freeway commute and I am worried about driving with things just cutting out like that.

View 3 RepliesAll of a sudden I have only one light (Driving lights)) on the dashboard. I used to have two. I have the Driving Light indicator showing but the headlight indicator light is not lighting up.
The headlights come on OK but not the indicator showing the headlights are on.
I switched from 2013 rx to 2015. the problem with the 2015 is the text msgs are showing up hours later on rx screen?I'm using same galaxy s4 i used with 2013 with no problems.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2009 3.3L Limited with the Nav system. Sometimes when I start the car the radio/nav display is locked up and will only display the Hyundai logo. During this lock-up, the radio still works. Using the steering wheel selectors I can switch beween station presents, between radio bands, and can change XM radio stations as well. The USB flash drive will not play any music during the lock-up. If I turn the car off then turn it on again, the problem goes away. This lock-up typically happens once every few weeks.

View 1 RepliesI got a 2011 Camry a couple of months ago with the EX Radio Bluetooth, MP3, Satellite, and more. After I got it I realized you can't see the radio station setting display in the sunlight. I took it in and found out there is no way to adjust the brightness unless it's at night with the lights on. Turning the little odometer knob adjust other things but this radio is an LCD display of whilte letters and numbers on a gray background. When the headlights are on the adjustment just makes the backlight brighter, not the lettering. Don't say turn the odometer knob, that doesn't work as I said above.
View 14 RepliesMy 10 months old 2011 Corolla started acting up. Two days ago I noticed the light on the clock is gone, so now I cannot see time at night or when driving in a parking garage.
Today in the morning I turned the headlights on and oops...the radio is playing fine but the display is black. If I want to see station #'s, I have to turn off the lights.
What's wrong with the clock light and radio display? Do I have to take to the dealer right away or can it wait until I go for an oil change in a week or so?
They problem I have is when I am driving and the headlights are on my odometer and radio display is extremely dim. When this first happened I thought the displays were completely off until it got darker outside. It only happens when it is dark enough for the auto headlight feature to function.
When it is bright outside I can turn the between off, headlights on and auto and the displays are still bright. When it darkens outside the only way I can have the displays lit up to where I can read them is to turn my lights to off.
I have tried adjusting the dash dimmer switch, checked fuses and looked over the wiring but cannot find the fault.
It is a 2011 6.7L F250.
My 2014 Avalon XLE connects to my iPhone 6 Plus for music and phone - nothing else. I am with ATT. Is there an update coming from Apple or ATT, or is there something I need to do to make the connection work? It's hard to believe that Toyota would not be compatible with the iPhone.

View 3 RepliesI just upgraded my phone from galaxy s5 to galaxy s7. Even though on S5 my GS350 would display and read text messages, it stopped on my S7. I made my text messages work again.
1. Remove all linked phones, unpair bluetooth connection, and restart phone in SAFE mode
. (Google how to start your phone in Safe mode).
2. After pairing and connecting phone to car blue tooth in safe mode, everything transferred, all contacts, text messages, even emails.
You now can receive texts and use the available message replies.
3. Restart your phone to take out of safe more and you are all set.
