2013 SE 2.4 ... I am away from my car. Should be home Tues afternoon. When I left 7 days ago at 6am, I had no headlights. The light on the dash was on and all the other tail lights worked. Before I had to leave I quickly looked for the headlight fuse(s). Where to find it(them)? I may have to drive home after dark and will need headlights.
View 10 RepliesI just installed the lights and found that only the outside left light worked with the brake depressed, the outside left inside left and inside right worked with the light switch in the on position. Also both blinkers work.
I switched my byte 18 to 04 already and am not (as of now) using my euro light switch (I didn't think this would be it but I'm at a complete loss) ...
Tail and dash lights would go out unexpectedly, so I would turn light switch off and then back on and they would work. After about a week they stopped working all together...I checked all fuses related to the lights and dash as well as bulbs.
View 5 RepliesA week into owning my Sonata, I noticed the right tail light had become ajar, with the plastic fittings completely snapped off.
I had to take it to the dealership to get it serviced, whatever, problem solved. Right? Yesterday, the left tail light snapped off in the same way.
I have not been hit or gotten into any kind of accident for that matter. I got it serviced again today and asked if this was some kind of a defect in the car.
For both tail lights to snap off is really a mystery to me.
All of a sudden I have only one light (Driving lights)) on the dashboard. I used to have two. I have the Driving Light indicator showing but the headlight indicator light is not lighting up.
The headlights come on OK but not the indicator showing the headlights are on.
My cruise control works just fine when my headlights are off as do my brake lights, but when i turn the lights on the cruise won't engage and the brake lights don't work. I've got 150K on the car so no longer under warranty...
View 1 RepliesI recently purchased a 2011 Sonata GLS and I love it. However, I'm having a slight electrical issue.
While driving at night with the headlights on occasionally they'll dim and flicker and often cut off completely while driving or parked. The interior and dash lights will also switch off with the headlights, however the radio will still continue to play. The lights only stay off for a second and then come back on. Sometimes I can make them flicker and go off by turning on my blinker or switching between high and low beams.
I'm trying to figure out if it's a problem with the alternator, the battery, or the fuses and if this is a known issue.
I know I'm not the only one that think the dash illumination lights are too bright! Even when turn turn them all the way down, yes they go down but still too bright. Any mod to make the inside lights dark? I have thought about buying tint and tint the over the speedometer and the clock and radio... Not sure how it would hold since its plastic......
I use my personal car for side work (at night) and need sit in my car and if the car is running and I cut all the lights off, and use the emergency brake to cut the day time running lights off, the dash lights go bright...wtf. I've also thought about removing the fuse for the lights, but I read the same fuse is used for the airbags as well.....

All of the warning lights on my dash are lit up. I cannot put the car in gear due to the drive not showing up. The RPM's show 0, then after a few seconds they bump and start working. After restarting car a few times it finally goes away. Everything but the check engine lights. Anything to try before I put it in the shop tomorrow?
I just bought a 97 Dodge Ram 1500. The Tail lights work when I just have running lights on, but don't work when I pull the light switch out far enough for the headlights to come on. Also, and probably related, the dashboard and radio lights don't work at all. I replaced the switch assembly already and that didn't fix the problem (i didn't use the supplied wiring though, only the switch). The previous owner used it to pull his boat so the rear end may have been backed into the water. The brake and reverse lights.

View 1 Replies1998 Honda CRV ... Had my engine repaired....Everything seems to work but discovered my headlights and taillights won't turn on. The signal lights work fine.
The mechanic says the lights are not burnt out ... so the light switch must be damaged. He did not mention any fuses or other causes. So I buy another light switch (the light switch/signal light combination stick on left side of the steering column) and install it but they still don't work. It seems really unlikely that all 4 fuses (2 x each head lights + 2 x each taillights) would blow all at the same time.
What could be causing this? It seems really simple like they forgot to connect some wiring harness somewhere but the mechanic didn't mention it the first time I took it in for the problem.
I have a 99 Passat 1.8T and the left taillight was out. It was the fuse and I replaced it, however when the headlights are on the brake lights and 3d brake light is on as well. Is it a short or something else.
View 3 RepliesMy driver side headlight and tail lights are not working. The brake lights and turn signals still work. I checked all of the fuses and light bulbs nothing is blown. It did rain yesterday and it looks like some moisture got into the driver side headlight, not like a pool of water just some condensation on the lens.
View 7 Repliesi got a 1986 chevy g20 conversion van for camping trips and the dash lights and tail lights don't work but the turn signal works and the brake lights work and the headlights work i put in a new fuse and they worked for about 5 minutes then quit working there did apper to be a little watter in one of the tail light bulbs if that works.
View 2 RepliesMy girlfriend has a 99 explorer Eddie bower the dash lights and tail lights sometimes go out last time I checked the fuses they were fine will check again she does home health care so we drive a lot the last owner had a system in it he took it out when she bought it he just unhooked the box the wire we ran hidden but the dash around the gauge cluster does not fit right so it has been off I'm desperate to keep her safe.

1. The traction control dash light comes on and stays on.
2. The cruise control stopped working.
3. The rear tail lights won't shut off even when the car is off.
My tail lights and dash lights only work when I hit the brakes, or when the left blinker is on. When the blinker is on, the dash lights blink on and off with the blinker. When braking they stay on until I step off of the brake pedal.

View 4 Replies2011 F-150 crew cab 4x4, problem started when truck wouldn't start like a dead battery. Jumped and immediately started no problem, drove a half hour and stopped at store, started fine and all good. Parked at house and friends stopped over and reported truck tail lights / brake lights were flashing. Fellow mechanic recommended unplugging trailer plug receptacle behind bumper and waited but same thing, lights blink every couple seconds. Who's the electrical gremlin slayer champion ??? Any ides or cures for known issues of this nature ?
