I've removed the splash guard(s) and can see a bunch of different thick hoses. I have no clue what I'm supposed to be looking for in order to drain the coolant. What I'm looking for (picture would be great or a really good description).

View 1 RepliesHave a 2015 King Ranch with 72k miles. I noticed today a small drip of coolant coming from the corner of the radiator near the drain valve.
The truck is deleted however before it was deleted I did purchase an extended warranty through Flood Ford. What are the chances they will deny a warranty claim on this because of the dpf and egr delete?
Recently picked up a 2011 GX 460, premium, black exterior, sepia interior. New to the forum and love the truck!
Question: Where exactly the evaporator drain plug is located for my truck?
When I start the AC there is a noticeable musty smell from the vents that goes away after a few minutes. A fellow lexus owner friend told me I needed to purchase the Toyota AC Refresher kit which will clean out the musty smell. I bought the kit from Lexus Sewell and found a YouTube video highlighting how to use the kit.
Step 1 is to use a can of foam to clean the AC evaporator coils. To do this one must connect the can to the evaporator drain plug. The video states to find the evaporater drain plug to run your AC for a while and look for the condensation dripping out of the plug and that is where you plug in. However for me the weather has not been warm enough yet this year to allow for the condensation to occur.
Changed my oil today and check the air filter. I noticed that there is oil on the air filter, so I'm thinking the PCV valve is bad (car has 136,000 miles). I want to check it but I'm not sure where it's located. Where it's located (pictures would be great) and how involved it is to replace?

View 1 RepliesI had a sensor error which caused my battery to drain. The computer thinks my door is unlocked when it is locked, leaving the door open image on the dashboard. This caused my battery to drain totally. What the damage would be for a new battery and fixing the door sensor ?
View 11 RepliesFor the past couple of days i've had condensation on the windshields during cold mornings and nights and thought something was up. I looked around and found the carpet on the driver's side of my car is damp and there was a puddle of water directly underneath the seat. I've read it might be a clogged AC drain or something like that. Some solutions seem to be either blowing the AC drain underneath the car with compressed air to get rid of a clog, or finding the tube inside the car and properly reconnecting it incase it got dislodged or kinked somehow. Or does this sound like a different problem? Again only the driver's side carpet seems to be wet.

What would the effects of this be on our turbo's? Grimmspeed makes a 140* thermo for the gc's and I believe it's 20* cooler than stock for them.
Would this to something we could do to protect from detonation and run the engine a little cooler during the hot summer months?
I just purchased my 2012 Sonata GLS about 2 weeks ago and had 64,000 miles on it. Put a few hundred miles on it around town without issue and then head out on a road trip and put about 750 miles on it when I had the issue. I was going about 60 mph and went to pass a semi and when I stepped on it the car started lurching, crazy valve rattle, and seemed to lose a lot of power. Got back behind the semi and babied it until I found a place to pull over and check it out. It was 2 quarts low on oil so I topped it off and it sounded fine, running smooth and no ticking or anything. Drove it around a bit and everything seemed fine and eventually got back on the highway and running fine. Pulled over after 100 miles and another 1/2 quart low, topped off.
Another 100 miles and another 1/2 quart, but running great with no issues. 150 miles from home and it happens again when I try to pass with the rattling valves and loss of power and I have to limp it to a gas station and now hearing the valve rattle and chugging on just a slight incline and going 20 mph. Get it towed 150 miles back to the Honda dealer where i purchased it from (long story) and their tech drove it and said he thought it needed a new motor since he barely made it back to the shop. They send it over to my local Hyundai dealer, and all of the sudden it is running great again! I go and drive with the tech and hammering on the throttle and it's running like a champ. I left it for him to drive home and they put 98 miles on it without issue. I picked it up yesterday and they said to bring it back if it happens again, but totally stumped as what it could be. They did start the oil consumption test so I will update when that is done.
Have no Fan on Rad running. Cant seem to locate the temp sensor to test it? What is the location?
View 1 RepliesOil leak.... I can not locate the MAF sensor in my 2012 gls 2.4l sonata. I followed from the front tube intake through the air box to the throttle body and i do not see one. I also have the service manual and no mention of said sensor!

View 3 RepliesI just purchased a 2011 Sonata. The low beams are not working and I am trying to diagnose the problem before I take it to the dealer in case it's just a blown fuse or bad relay. I have read through the owners manual and looked at both fuse compartments for the fuse and relays and to no avail. So, looking for the location of the low beam fuse and relay? I know there has to be a fuse for the headlights somewhere lol. Maybe I am missing it because of an abbreviation or something. What is the fuse name and I can go from there.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2014 Sonata with 22k miles. I love this car but lately I've noticed valve rattle under acceleration. Brought this up with service tech and he said I'm not driving the car on long enough trips to keep it cleaned off. When I researched the GDI very little info comes up for Hyundai mainly vw and BMW. I guess what I'm asking is is the only fix for the carbon build up removing the intake and cleaning the valves manually or is there another way.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2011 Sonata GLS with 127k miles on it and I'm trying to diagnose a problem, possibly with transmission.
Since I bought the car at 115k miles I started hearing a noise from engine zone, which appears quite rarely. Noise resembles valve knocking, appears mostly at traffic lights and colder weather (evenings). I was trying to catch the sound by recording it while using emergency brake at D pos. but the sound disappeared right after releasing brake pedal.
Describing in a different way it sounds like a propeller touching something with its blades. The sound also appears at 1900rpm on any gear (mostly when slightly releasing gas pedal around 2k rpm).
While trying to understand/fix the issue I used:
- liqui moly valve cleaner and engine flush
- techtron injection cleaner
- replaced spark plugs
These operations had almost 0 effect on car behavior. The symptoms boil down to a torque converter. Transmission shifts fine, I was going to try transmission fluid change ( a full change by dealer), however it may do more harm, so I'm not sure yet.
My water drain valve in my gas cap isn't draining and must be clogged or something. I tried sticking a paper clip down it but that didn't do it. How to unclog this or get to it?
View 4 RepliesToday I noticed my 2003 santa fe was leaking coolant. I got under it and noticed it was coming from a small red cap under the radiator on the driver side. I figured it was the drain cap. It's kinda hidden so it will be hard to remove and replace so any tips on how to do this.
