I replaced the standard bulbs with LEDs and noticed that even when they should be off, they remain lit ever so slightly. So I put back the old ones. This can't be common.

View 40 RepliesShort, the dome and interior light fuse keeps blowing. Car is 2009 hyundai sonata nf. Is the bcm computer gone? The fuse pops as soon as i put a fuse in the car. The car can be off or on..it doesn't matter.
View 57 RepliesSo I recently installed interior LEDs and noticed the other night that the dome and maps are slightly lit up when the car is on, they aren't fully on but you can tell that they are slightly lit up, when I press the button obviously they turn on fully but then go back to being slightly lit after I try to turn them off.
If I switch my map button to "off" then they are pitch black, but if it's on "door" then they are ever so slightly lit up.
It doesn't bother me at all as I hardly notice it and doesn't obstruct my view, but I want to make sure that it won't cause any harm down the road.
When car is off, or map light button is set to "off" then map lights are turned off completely, if car is on or map light set to "door" then map lights are so slightly lit up as well as the dome light in the back. Not sure if bad just curious.
I just finished installing my interior leds from Diode Dynamics. I am having one small problem. The dome lights and map lights stay on very faintly. The weird part is had to get a new led board for the dome light and I put back in one of my stock bulbs and all the leds are off but once I put the second led in the dome area the leds have faint light look again. I have a sunroof so I have the dual lights.
View 6 RepliesI've been trying to figure out why the dome interior lights are not lighting up when a door is open, etc. The only time those lights come on is when i physically push the light in. I thought it could have been a fuse, however, I replaced the 10 amp room LP fuse, but still nothing.
View 5 RepliesHaving some issues randomly in the car, the dome lights/headlights are pulsating. Like the power isn't there. I have LED's connecting the battery, so I am thinking it might be a problem with the ground on teh battery. I know I can eliminate everything but the LED ground.
View 5 RepliesJust purchased the 2012 GLS this past Saturday and everything is good except for one thing. My dome light even in the "door" position stays on after starting the car and driving. I have to manually switch it to off to turn the interior light off, which is annoying. I called the dealership today and they had no prior experience with that problem. BTW, I did have a sunroof installed.

View 9 RepliesI got the aftermarket lights through Yefeng, with quad HIDS. So after a while, Cluster lights, Vanity mirror lights, tail lights, cabin roof lights all started to flicker or strobe faintly. Very noticeable either when lights are on or off, drive or park.
Car has less than 12k miles.
I've been driving it like that with no problems. Except one morning before I left to work, car wouldn't start. (Happened randomly) Battery is good, alternator is good. Could something be pulling power from the alternator? I have no clue.
My interior lights won't come on when I open the doors.
View 3 RepliesI have just purchased a 2013 Sonata and the interior lights (dome, vanity, etc.) will not come on at night when you unlock and enter the car. Yes, I have checked the switch and that is not the issue. It works during the day and has been tested at the dealership twice since I purchased within the last week. This issue only happens at night. If I switch the actual dome switch to on, the interior lights will come on after 5-6 minutes when I am in the car. Very frustrated at this point as the dealer cannot recreate the issue, but the issue obviously exists.
View 4 RepliesSo this morning I discovered a small tear on the door paneling material of my rear right door. Is it possible to just replace that section of the covering? I think I will place some clear tape over it in the meantime to prevent any further damage.
View 4 RepliesI recently purchased a 2011 Sonata GLS and I love it. However, I'm having a slight electrical issue.
While driving at night with the headlights on occasionally they'll dim and flicker and often cut off completely while driving or parked. The interior and dash lights will also switch off with the headlights, however the radio will still continue to play. The lights only stay off for a second and then come back on. Sometimes I can make them flicker and go off by turning on my blinker or switching between high and low beams.
I'm trying to figure out if it's a problem with the alternator, the battery, or the fuses and if this is a known issue.
Heard wicked vibration from front of car (almost like I hit something and it jammed under car) pulled over to realize sound was still there when stopped. after a few seconds realized it was the fan running (on setting 4) now a couple days later sound isn't as bad but still vibrating, doesn't matter where it's blowing (feet, chest, windshield). I bought sonata 20 months ago and has just under 23000 miles...
View 8 RepliesI have a 2006 passat and today when i was switching the bulbs out with different colored ones and the lights just went out along with the visor lights. I have checked all the fuses and bulbs to make sure they just didnt blow. There isnt much on the internet about this topic. What i have found out on the net is it could maybe be the (CCM). But i am unable to find that also.

I have a bad bulb in the cargo area which I removed. (don't know if every bulb has to be functional)
I have no listing in the owners manual for interior lights or dome lights for the fuses. I assume the 10amp one for the gauge cluster was it.
Have an 411 on where to check now? Also looking for a parts listing for replacement bulbs for all the dome/reading lights.

For interior lights, the tacked thread mentions 39mm Festoon. However, when I go to Super Bright LEDs and put in my year, make and model (2002 EX), I get 578 LED Bulb - 8 LED Festoon - 44mm for replacement interior bulbs. Which is correct? 39mm or 44mm? Is there that big of a difference between the two? Will either size work?
I just want to make sure I order the right size to fit a 2002 EX. ETA: I want to start with ordering a few each of 5900K and 4300K just to see the difference in the truck and want to make sure I get the right ones. I don't want the Close Encounters look going on inside.
Does the dome light and interior light stay lit in the car...luminescent kind of thing. I just do not recall anything like it. although my new car does email me when I forget to lock my doors, so who knows. Any reason for this, way to change it?
View 2 RepliesAccent 2012. I replaced the trunk and map lights with LEDs and they worked okay. I did the dome light last and something caused the interior lights to not come on. The light switch is set to door for the dome and middle position for the map lights. I am pretty sure I have the LED dome light polarity correct because it did come on for a bit while I was seating it.
Now the map and dome lights don't come on. I checked the 'ROOM LP 1' fuse and it looked good but I replaced it with one of the spare 10A fuses anyway. Still not working. The trunk LED does still light.
I searched this site and found in the 2007-2012 santa fe forum under 'front dome light not working when doors open' which mentions a blown diode in the dome light housing causing a similar issue.
2001 Passat 1.8T ... The switch is in the correct position and the light comes on when the passenger door is opened. What causes the light to activate? I cannot find a switch anywhere on the door frame. Maybe a magnetic switch in the door?
