My 2013 is 9 months old and over time I've noticed whenever I lock my doors. My passenger side rear door does an extra click. Sounds like it's locking twice, an extra one after the original click.It's not a huge deal, I just hear it every time and I wonder if it could turn into an issue with locking etc.. Don't have a problem bringing it into the dealer for a look.
View 7 RepliesI got a ghost light kit for my 2013 Sonata GLS. Installing the front door lights was simple. Since the rear doors don't have courtesy light it's a bit of a challenge for me. s there another wire I can tap into somewhere that would allow this light to work?
View 3 RepliesI have a Hyundai Sonata 2011 all was fine until a couple days ago when I lock the doors using the remote I hear it click then in 20 minutes later the lights are blinking on and off. I use the remote to lock the doors again and the same thing happens. I replaced the battery in the remote , I also had the battery in the car checked. What could be triggering the lights to keep blinking ?
View 5 RepliesI just bought a 2013 Sonata. There is a whistling noise from the passenger side vent closest to the door that appears at about 70 mph when in MaxAC mode. It is high pitched like a venturi. It goes away when switched out of MaxAC mode or when the speed drops below 70. I am guessing that it has something to do with the outside air being squeezed off.

View 2 RepliesWas out cleaning my windows today, and had the key turned to the accessory position so I could lower and raise the windows while I cleaned them. The passenger side rear window wouldn't lower (either from the switch on the passenger door itself, or the switch on the master panel on the driver's door.) The other 3 windows worked just fine. I immediately started planning on when I could get the car to the dealer
On a lark, I started the car to see if that made a difference and the passenger side rear window worked just fine. I then shut off the car, put the key back to the accessory position, and the window continued to work just fine.
My 2013 Passat has some issues with the door locks. I'm at 92k kms now and no longer under full warranty. In June 2015, I had the locks fixed with the local VW dealer, while under warranty - 2 doors were failing to lock/unlock using the remote and would regularly attempt to lock while driving (could hear the motors in each door and lock light wouldn't light up as usual).
I no longer drive the vehicle regularly, it's essentially my gf's car now. She mentioned a couple weeks ago that the rear passenger side door wasn't locking, though the lock alarm still beeps. No motor sound this time. And again, while driving it constantly tries to lock the doors around 10-20kph (no light on locks shows up confirming locked).
So essentially it's been just over a year since the issue was fixed. According to the dealer it's an electronic issue and costs that much because the locking component in each door has to be replaced. Doesn't make sense to me if its electronic...
I haven't spoken to VW myself yet but it all sounds off to me. I'm a diesel mechanic and don't know a whole lot about the electrical side but why would I have the same issue in back to back years on something like door locks?
Also sounds like the heated mirrors might not be working. Is it a failed actuator on the driver side maybe?
I have a 2013 Sonata GLS. Something I noticed (for the first time). If I leave the car unlocked and I stand in the proximity of the car, after about a minute or so, the lights will flash and lock the doors automatically (without me pushing the fob button). At first I thought the button was being pressed accidentally, but I proved myself wrong by taking the keys out my pocket and laying them on the garage workbench. Is this normal ?
View 10 RepliesI have a click/clunk in my front brakes, passenger side. Happens mostly braking and turning right into my driveway. It was recently attributed to a strut bearing, but this was not the case, and their replacement didn't fix the problem.
Dealer has said it's a common noise and occurs after service. The only way to stop the noise is to stop lubing the calipers so they drag.
I say they are full of crap. This has now been going on at least 30k km. I have documented it on every oil change that I can remember (always at the dealer). Any way I should be handling it?
I have the same problem as in the youtube video. It is my 2011 Sonata SE with smart key. I have 100k Miles and checked with the dealership and they said no recalls on my car.

Wondering what the problem is? Is it just the Actuator or Lock and Actuator Latch Assembly both?
My driver side door is not locking with the smart key or by hitting the button on the handle I can't seem to figure it out...
View 5 RepliesMy sonata 2009 power windows for the rear passenger doors are not working. From the driver's master switch , i can control all 4 power windows with no problem. But if i go to the rear doors (LH and RH) and use the power window switch from there. The windows don't go up or done. There is no sound like the motor is moving. Not very familiar with power windows circuit. But base on the description, by deduction, does it mean the rear power windows switch is broken ? Is there anything that i should check also. Is there any sites that has a diagram on how the power windows are interconnected.

View 12 RepliesI have a 2000 Lexus RX300. The rear passenger side door randomly does not close when I click on the alarm. When this happens, the alarm does not turn on and then the rest of the alarm system starts acting up until I manually close all the doors and then turn on the alarm. After I do this, the alarm works well. My dad and I opened the door that I am always having trouble with to see if anything was loose, but it all seemed ok. Do the problem is with the door or the alarm?

View 7 RepliesMy '13 GLS has recently developed a rattle in the passenger seat. I know that's what it is, because if someone is sitting in the seat, or I press against the seatback, the rattle stops.
I'm sure this is being magnified by the absolutely horrible roads left behind by the "winter wonderland" we've had, but I'm not sure I can continue to drive 46 miles twice a day without thinking about running the car into a telephone pole.
My 2004 V50, all the doors and boot lock except for the rear drivers side passenger door.
I have tried pushing the door knob down and this wont budge either, took the door card off and can hear a clicking when you press the key fob but thats it lock does not move?
Just took my 2014 F150 FX4 to the dealer for a rattle in the front and rear passenger side doors that rattle with the windows down . Sounds bad when you close the door. Dealer told me it was normal. So here I am with a 50,000 dollar truck with 5,000 miles on it and they say that's normal even tho the drivers side doors do not make this noise. Not really happy with FMC these days.
View 14 RepliesSo I've been having some extra wind-noise from my driver side window when I am driving 50+ m[h. So at my oil change this past week, I noted this with my advisor and she said they would look into it.
Long story short I get my car back Wednesday and everything is taken care of, Windnoise is gone, aluminum side plates fixed and they even filled my tank. from 1/4 to full.
Flash forward to today, Friday. I noticed that my driver and passenger front windows had some stickers on them, noting that they were made in japan and only the car owner can remove them, I also notice there is a haze. I drove about 100miles in the last 2 days, mostly right at the crack of dawn and just before dusk. But today Friday it was ultra bright and I realized there was no tint on my front windows.
Lexus had actually replaced both the driver and passenger windows due to the excess windnoise, which to me is crazy, cause it really wasn't that bad. I called my service advisor about this issue, before I had releaized they replaced the windows and she said they should of re-tinted them and that they forgot too, so bring my car back in next week.
Long story short, Lexus is pretty awesome and I cant believe they replaced the windows for some wind noise. I honestly wouldn't of had them do that and spend all that money for something so insignificant, but kudos to them.
Purchased a 2017 santa fe sport limited back in april 2016.
It's been great but since day one the front and rear driver side doors have retained water after rain/snow.
When I open the doors, water just gushes out from the door panel holes along the door, and it's now become an issue because of winter.
The water freezes and door become hard to open, as well as the added weight to the door and condensation that may end up rusting parts...
My dealer took the car for 3 days and took it apart, but said they couldn't find out why water is being retained, and only released when I open the doors...
I'm not too sure what to do, Hyundai Canada denies the issue, and I do have lots of video footage and frozen pictures...
Front Right side passenger bulb is out but it has been replaced twice. Where is the fuse and what is the amp?
