I just installed an Injen intake to my Sonata 2.0T, but now it doesn't feel as quick off the line. It sounds incredible but idk.. just feels a little sluggish now..
View 6 RepliesI have had this happen the last couple times I use my car in the cold. It has been around 25-30 F and when I pull out of my driveway the first time/maybe second time I touch the brakes it forcefully stops and feels as though only the front brakes are engaging. As I drive the car that trip it has yet to happen and the brakes preform normally. I am not used to disk brakes and I am thinking it is maybe that? The only other thing I could think of is that the brakes need to warm up a bit and pressing them still cold illicit that jerked response. I have read through a number of threads on brakes and I cannot seem to find this happening.
View 4 RepliesI got the aftermarket lights through Yefeng, with quad HIDS. So after a while, Cluster lights, Vanity mirror lights, tail lights, cabin roof lights all started to flicker or strobe faintly. Very noticeable either when lights are on or off, drive or park.
Car has less than 12k miles.
I've been driving it like that with no problems. Except one morning before I left to work, car wouldn't start. (Happened randomly) Battery is good, alternator is good. Could something be pulling power from the alternator? I have no clue.
My wife cracked in half the gas fill door on our 2012 SE. I ordered a new one online and painted it to match our car. I cannot figure out how to get the old one out and install the new one. I removed the 4 screws around the gas filler tube but how do I access the back to get out the old hinge?
View 5 RepliesI have a CTS Turbo intake and have recently purchased a heatshield. It did not come with instructions. I tried installing it this weekend and it was a no go. I'm assuming the pieces for the factory engine cover in the rear is what the heatshield needs to replace to bolt on. I couldn't get those off for the life of me.

View 11 RepliesPut my BSH intake in today, it's pretty good. I am pleased with the fit and finish. The only concern I have is when I'm at WOT and around 4800-5300 there is a high pitch sound along with the sound of the turbo. Is this normal or do I have an issue?
View 7 RepliesInstalled Forge Twintake on my GTI, CBFA engine code. Have had it installed for 2 weeks now, it was running funny ever since, idling was weird and every time I shifted I felt it through the clutch. Throttle response and acceleration was fine though. Yesterday driving to work the CEL came on, I scanned it today and got P0101 MAF VAF and got P150A idle speed control. I was thinking about cleaning the MAF sensor to see if that was the problem but it doesn't seem like that would solve the problem of it running weird. Was also considering reinstalling the stock intake and seeing how it ran then and or if the CEL went off.
View 6 Replies I installed a VF intake a few weeks back and noticed my car is peaking at around 14-15 PSI max according to my boost gauge, when it used to hit 17 peak. I'm not sure if I may have a leak nor have I checked it via vag-com.
It does feel a bit off, but for as far as I know the gauge could be messed up now.
Just wondering if there would be any immediate signs (sounds etc...) of whether there would be a leak, or what other problems may cause this.
Anyways, I've been doing a lot of work on my 6.0 2004 Ford Excursion lately, and recently installed my Sinister Diesel intercooler pipes and intake elbow, and had to remove my throttle body completely to do so. I know that the 2004 models throw codes when removed, and that's what I'm here for. Mine isn't dogged down and actually runs even smoother with my new piping and intake, but I want to get rid of this code.
Is there any tune out there that can erase it? For some reason my Edge Insight CTS2 sees the code, but my SCT X4 flash tuner doesn't see the P0488 code. I know people have discussed this topic several times, but after hours of reading through posts I never found any solution to this. All I need is a way to delete the code because I don't like having my CTS2 with a trouble code for something I did on purpose!
Front end noise in 2006 Sonatas? I would refer to this as a creaking noise heard inside the vehicle while going slower...such as in parking lots and neighborhood driving. Sounds to be from the strut area to me. Going to try to take into dealership next week. Seems like right after i got the rear suspension noise fixed (Replaced struts) then i hear the front end making noise.
View 36 RepliesI drive a 94 camry xle with the 5sfe motor. It stipped working on while i was going down the interstate. Before it stopped, i notice that the speedometer was getting slower and slower. So i pulled off to the side of the road and before i was able to stop and get it in park, it quit. Smoke was rolling out but it was like a white clear smoke. When i got it home, i tried starting it and it sound like the compression on the cylinders was way out.

View 3 RepliesI noticed today when I was washing the car that the rear bumper feels loose to me compared to other cars... If I grab the bottom the bumper, just aft of the rear wheel, there can be significant movements of the bumper, and its the same on both sides... I don't see any loose screws.
Tried it with other model cars, the movement range from very small to nonexistent...not sure if it's just my vehicle or if they are all like this by design(or the lack of). The top of the bumper feels rigid enough. Now I kinda want to know if this looseness is causing my bumper to be flapping in the wind at highway speed...
I bought the car in Nov. It's now pushing 90k miles. From getting to know the car to me the suspension feels stiff. Front and rear for the most part. I need to put new tires on it and i'm sure that contributes somewhat to quality/feel and road noise.
However, (and it seems to be getting worse) when going over bumps in the road I can almost hear a prominent clunking noise from the rear. It's not extremely loud but I can tell it's there. Like I said it's not very loud but too me something back there is going out. I'm not sure what kind of suspension is back there.
2009 Hyundai Sonata automatic: When downshifting from 4th to 3rd it feels like I hit a bump, or like I just hit the brakes hard for a second.
What could it be? It's most noticeable when the car is cold. I have 82k miles on it, so it's still in the "power train warranty".
I have read almost every thread on priuschat and I cannot seem to figure out how to install the HID relay on a 2011. The fusebox is different from the 2010 to 2011 model and that little cover that has the white wire (coming from what I believe is the battery) does not provide useable power?

View 5 RepliesI have recently upgraded the factory sync system in my 2011 f350 lariat to a factory sync with NAV. I am looking for tha way to redirect the fideo feed to the rear view mirror to the nav system, I have found the wire coors and pin locations for the radio end, just need the info if there is a way to move it in the a pillar harness on the passenger side to the radi harness.
Did ford really put 2 different harnesses in the cab if you had nav or not? Factory nav unit and factory camera (camera was in the vehicle to begin with). the radio side is pin 1 and 6 on the 10 pin radio harness.
