View 19 RepliesOk i did do a "search" and it solved Half my problem. Both the (Front Pass & Rear Pass) 12V Socket were not working. Did a Search and read to check the Fuse Box. Checked ALL Fuses one by one and found a Blue 15 Amp Fuse Blown. Replaced it and the Front Pass 12V socket works now, but the Rear is still not working... Am i missing something?
Car is a 2003 B5.5 Sedan
So I had to replace a front ten signal bulb the other day and with almost no pressure, one of the small plastic tabs on the bulb socket broke off when I was trying to seat the new bulb into the headlight housing. The plastic socket looks like it's own piece that's removable from the wiring harness, but my dealer tells me it comes as a kit with the whole headlight housing and I'd have to replace the whole thing.
View 1 RepliesI purchase a pre-certified Hyundai Sonata 2015 from Rockland Hyundai just 2 weeks ago but I didn't pay attention that the climate control has no display, the heater and the AC work fine but no display.
View 2 RepliesGot the 2015 Sonata Limited 2.4 a few weeks back. One issue that I have encountered is that when I receive a phone call while driving I answer the call but neither me or the other person can hear the audio. I have to go to the phone screen- select the option to switch to private and then switch back to hands-free and then it works.
When I place calls it works as it should- it only does this when I receive a call.
I have my car for about a month now and I noticed that the front park lights are not working. The turn signal bulb has 2 filaments and 2 contacts (1157 bulbs) and yet the only ones that light up are those for the turn signals. No park lights when the switch is in park position or headlights on position.
View 10 RepliesSo I'm trying to remove the rear bumper cover on a '15, but it has been a royal pain. I went in thinking that the procedure would be similar to what it is on the '14, but it is way more involved. The biggest issue I'm having is removing the large plastic triangular side bracket. It has these weird T-nuts fastened to the body, which you cant remove, and the whole thing looks like it would need to slide upwards to get it off, but you wouldn't have enough room because the shape of the body just gets in the way.
View 1 RepliesI noticed today when I was washing the car that the rear bumper feels loose to me compared to other cars... If I grab the bottom the bumper, just aft of the rear wheel, there can be significant movements of the bumper, and its the same on both sides... I don't see any loose screws.
Tried it with other model cars, the movement range from very small to nonexistent...not sure if it's just my vehicle or if they are all like this by design(or the lack of). The top of the bumper feels rigid enough. Now I kinda want to know if this looseness is causing my bumper to be flapping in the wind at highway speed...
I'm pressing the button up on the drivers console and on the rear door but it won't go up. It went down no problem but it won't come back up. Checked all fuses and they're fine.
View 4 RepliesHave a cycling type mechanical noise coming from rear driver side wheel after I turn car off. Doesn't happen all the time...
See video : [URL] ....
Adjusting rear view mirror? When I adjust my seat to the right position, then my rear view mirror shows me my rear deck where sub woofer located. I adjust the seat down and forward a bit and I can see about 70% of the rear glass. I have already raised my rear view mirror all the up.
View 11 RepliesWhen I lock my 15 Sonata everything seems (sounds) fine, however when I open there is a "loud" buzz from the rear passenger door...............
View 13 RepliesI have a 2015 Limited with the pano glass. Have an occasional cracking/snapping noise coming from the rear of the glass (not the moveable piece, but the fixed piece)? Were you able to get it fixed? The tech says it's because of body flex, and that there's no fix for now. I'm tempted to drop the headliner and drive it for a few days to try to pinpoint it.
I'm not quite sure what would be making that type of noise with body flex. Everything I can imagine would be fixable with maybe a nylon washer or some felt. Now that the temp is in the 50s, it's happening a lot, and it's starting to annoy me.
I drive a Sport and have installed a subwoofer and amplifier to work with the stock head unit and speakers. However, I find the subwoofer sounds a bit muffled and I think I need to create a bit of an air flow between the trunk and the cockpit.
I did notice the rear deck has a big hole where the 8 inch subwoofer sits in higher trims. The hole is however, covered with a plastic dummy or cap or placeholder or whatever it is Hyundai calls it. If I can remove that, I can make some air flow and believe the subwoofer might sound better. How to remove it?
Experiencing a metallic click or something alike when coming to a full stop?
I've notice this new noise and it seems to happen about 0.5 seconds after the car has come to a complete stop, not during the stopping. It only happens when stopping at a red light, and it doesn't do it on stop and go traffic.
It also doesn't seem to coincide precisely with applying the brakes because is AFTER the car has stopped, again, in less than a second. I hope that makes any sense.
It happens maybe 25% of the time but, then again, if I go to the dealership I'll probably won't be able to reproduce it.
Well I've just noticed something quite annoying today... a very slight hissing sound coming from under the rear end of the car. A friend I drove to work this morning even said "what's that noise?".... It reminds me of the sound you'll hear when there is a pinhole in a joint weld, or a clamp is loose? My car only has 2800km on it!
View 8 RepliesMy 2010 II has two power sockets, one under the radio, and another inside the center console. The center console one does not work, whereas the other one does. I checked both the fuses, and even swapped the two fuses. I also checked several other fuses just to be sure. No fuses are blown and nothing changes by swapping the 2 power port fuses.
View 8 RepliesJust curious, in comparison to other vehicles, does it seem that the rear window defrost works pretty slow in your Sonata? I park outside and notice it is slower than I would like for it to be in the morning. Heated mirrors work great.
View 9 RepliesMy sonata 2009 power windows for the rear passenger doors are not working. From the driver's master switch , i can control all 4 power windows with no problem. But if i go to the rear doors (LH and RH) and use the power window switch from there. The windows don't go up or done. There is no sound like the motor is moving. Not very familiar with power windows circuit. But base on the description, by deduction, does it mean the rear power windows switch is broken ? Is there anything that i should check also. Is there any sites that has a diagram on how the power windows are interconnected.
View 6 RepliesI've been driving this Sonata 2015 Limited and while going very light on the pedal in eco mode it is barely hitting 18 to 20mpg. I find that very odd, and presume something is either calculating wrong or the car has an issue.
2015 limited
Eco Mode
2.4l engine
City driving but very soft on the pedal.
Seeing issues with A/C not getting cold? I thought it felt a little warmer than it should, and then my wife got in my car and instantly called it out, and now it is pretty close to room temp. air....Could it be low pressure in the lines? Or the fluid itself (freeon...? =s) ?
